Charlotte Shaw wanted to say something more, but remembering that Benjamin Shaw was still injured, she swallowed the words back down. She didn’t leave the ward as he suggested but stood there waiting for Isla Lane’s cue.

"Both of you should go, I want some peace." Not hearing any signs of them leaving behind him, Benjamin Shaw urged them again to leave, this time in a much harsher tone than before.

"Remember to drink the porridge later," Isla Lane said to Benjamin Shaw’s back. Without waiting for a response, she stood up and pulled Charlotte Shaw out of the ward.

"Just shut up," Isla Lane glared at Charlotte Shaw disapprovingly, shaking off her grip, "You only know how to provoke him with words. If something happens because of you provoking him, I’ll never forgive you."

She turned to glance at the ward’s door, sighed, and then began to stride forward.

Seeing this, Charlotte Shaw quickly followed. As she caught up, she linked her arm through Isla Lane’s, "Mom! Benjamin isn’t as fragile as you think, you don’t need to worry so much about him."

She knew her mother was worried about her brother. She was also very concerned for her brother, and her earlier words were just to wake him up, to make him understand his current situation.
