Realm-Hopping Martial Master
Chapter 950 - 517: Petition to Slay the Half-demon Family! Crisis of the Fox People!
The whole place fell silent.
That goateed man might only be a half-demon, but he was a solid Primordial Pill Realm expert, a powerhouse who could rank among the entire Half-demon Species. When he struck at Hu Yi, he truly meant to kill, planning to slaughter him and then offer up this entire intelligence network to the Black Dragon Demon Lord in exchange for trust, and naturally become his subordinate.
He had long since made up his mind, and his move was vicious to the extreme.
With Hu Yi's mere tiny Furnace Fire Realm, even if he burned all his Essence Blood, he wouldn't be that man's match.
The other Clan Leaders wanted to intervene, but it was already too late; they could only watch helplessly as the goateed man struck at Hu Yi with killing intent.
Yet in the very next instant, a figure appeared and, in the blink of an eye, crushed the goateed man's head. Blood and qi surged skyward, blasting out, the reek of it rushing into their faces, startling the others so badly that their expressions changed drastically. In terror they looked at the man standing behind Hu Yi, whose face was deathly still, unable to utter a word.
Hu Yi swept his gaze around, took a deep breath, and said, "I originally came to persuade you with good words, to give everyone here a bright future. But this bastard tried to kill me; naturally I won't let him go."
"Everyone, if the Sheepman can kill me Hu Yi today, he'll be able to kill you just as easily tomorrow."
"It's time you gave me an answer."
As his words fell, the Puppet behind him stepped forward. A surge of Evil Qi burst from its body, blasting straight toward the crowd.
Hu Yi's patience was already gone.
According to his intelligence, the great war between the Human Clan, the Demon Race, and the Demon Sect had already entered a white-hot stage. The sooner he established a force of his own and expanded his information network, the sooner he could render great service, the sooner the war could end, and the sooner he could follow his lord to the Human Clan and live the life he wanted.
These half-demon races were all relatively close with the Fox People Clan. Hu Yi had never intended to cross blades with them at first, but these people harbored ulterior motives and had even struck at him, so he naturally wouldn't show mercy.
The burly Cowman with the horns cast a deeply wary look at the Puppet, terror flickering in his eyes.
He was likewise a Primordial Pill Realm expert, so of course he could see how powerful this Puppet was—it had even reached the Realm of a Transformed Demon. He absolutely wouldn't be its match.
But the Cowman's nature made it impossible for him to bow his head. Stiff-necked, he said, "I was wondering where you got such confidence, brat. So it's because of a Heaven Rank Puppet."
"A single Heaven Rank Puppet can rampage unhindered among half-demons, with no one able to oppose it. But you need to understand, among the Demon Race are countless Transformed Demons, not to mention the Demon Monarchs. Any one of them could crush this Puppet of yours with a flick of their hand. I really can't figure out where you get that look of confidence from."
"Don't tell me it's really like Old Yang said—you've thrown in with the Human Clan?"
This horned burly Cowman was rash, yes, but being able to sit in this position proved he was no fool. The moment he voiced this thought, he was shocked himself. A drum-like heartbeat thundered from his body, stirring billowing thunderclouds that crashed down toward the Puppet. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
He himself exploded backward, charging for the outside.
Though they were close to the Human Clan, that didn't mean they could, like the Fox People, throw themselves into the Human Clan's arms without a word of complaint. In their eyes, that was impossible.
The horned Cowman wanted to escape and announce this matter to the world.
But the gap in Cultivation couldn't be bridged by a mere mass of thunderclouds.
The Puppet simply lifted its head. It didn't even glance at the thunderclouds, letting the lightning strike its body without inflicting the slightest injury. Its figure flickered and it appeared directly before the horned burly man, blocking his path.
"Hu Yi, you're courting death!"
He swung the Big Halberd in his hand, activating some Secret Technique. His body swelled, and he actually managed to block the Puppet's onslaught as he bellowed at Hu Yi.
"If you want to die alone, we'd never try to stop you. But if you want to drag the entire Half-demon Clan into this hell, I will never agree!"
"You're… ah!"
Before he could finish, his attack was shattered by the Puppet. Even the Big Halberd was broken, and his chest was smashed along with it. His pair of bloodshot eyes stared fixedly at Hu Yi, dying with eyes wide open.
Hu Yi shook his head and said, "Why go this far… Uncle Niu."
His relationship with this horned burly man was actually pretty good. That slightly younger horned burly man on his sea ship was his own nephew. If he'd had a choice, he wouldn't have wanted to kill this Cowman Clan Leader.
But this concerned the great matter of the Half-demon Species; he couldn't waver.
He'd once heard that Human Clan cultivator say something to him.
To accomplish great things, one cannot be constrained by trifles!
Turning around, Hu Yi looked at the remaining living Half-demon Clan Leaders. There was not a trace of emotion on his face; he even faintly carried a bit of Jiang Shu's expression as he slowly said, "Everyone, things have come to this. What are your plans?"
What plans?
The three survivors looked at the two corpses lying on the ground and were momentarily at a loss for words.
The long-faced man's expression was grave. After pondering for a moment, he asked, "I watched you grow up. I know you're meticulous and naturally cautious. Without absolute certainty, you would never do something this risky."
"Give me a bit of inside information—give us all a pill of reassurance. The person behind you, who exactly is he?!"
This long-faced man was from the Horse People, the Half-demon race closest to the Human Clan apart from the Fox People.
Hu Yi had just opened his mouth to speak when he suddenly seemed to sense something. Killing intent instantly flooded his eyes as he looked toward the long-eared woman who, at some unknown point, had secretly taken out a Memory Stone.
