"Besides, why are you even bothering with this? It’s exhausting for your mind and spirit. If your heart starts feeling uncomfortable again, I would really feel bad." Benjamin Walton’s words warmed Emerie Wilson’s heart, dispelling the odd feeling she just had.

"When have I ever been that delicate?" Emerie Wilson laughed as she looped her arm through Benjamin Walton’s to go upstairs. Once they entered the company, she was greeted all the way by employees calling her boss lady and madam, relishing in the feeling of being ushered in, she cheerfully entered Benjamin Walton’s office.

"Benjamin, I might have done something today that you won’t be too happy about." Emerie Wilson said with some embarrassment, "I asked Hayley Cole to handle things, just don’t tell James Reed."

"How could you do that?" Benjamin Walton questioned her excitedly upon hearing that.

"What’s wrong with what I did?" Emerie Wilson glared at Benjamin Walton in dissatisfaction. She was just a little anxious earlier, but that didn’t mean she felt she did anything wrong.

"Hayley Cole likes James Reed, she wants to do something for him, so let her do it. Can you really stop her?"

Seeing Emerie Wilson’s uneasy expression, Benjamin Walton softened his attitude and sighed lightly: "Emerie, what I mean is that James Reed doesn’t want people saying he succeeded just because of Hayley Cole."

That evening, upon arriving home, Benjamin Walton called James Reed: "Emerie Wilson has already spoken with Hayley Cole, just wait to be pursued by Miss Cole."

"Thanks a lot." James Reed laughed.

"I’m just sharing in your good fortune." Benjamin Walton laughed, "If it wasn’t for this opportunity from you, our company wouldn’t be so confident about winning the bid."

"It was thanks to your wife’s ’frankness’, otherwise Hayley Cole would have waited a bit longer before taking action." James Reed replied modestly.

"Okay, let’s not start arguing about this here, thanks to these two amazing women." Benjamin Walton’s words elicited a good laugh from James Reed, two men, despite the age difference between them, were absolutely on the same wavelength.

This is true mutual appreciation, shared interests.

As for Sophie Wilson, Charles Seymour furrowed his brow slightly and asked, "What’s wrong?"

She was distracted at dinner which was not like Sophie’s style, did something happen?
