Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 943: Afraid You’ll Get Tired
Kai Bright wailed on the phone, "Sis, the only real affection I have is for Lucy, the others don’t count. Stop trying to impose them on me."
"What’s up? Is Sophie Lee causing trouble again?" Kai Bright wasn’t foolish; he could guess who was stirring things up. "She’s really persistent, not giving up easily."
"Maybe she loves you too much, and love has turned to hate." Sophie Wilson laughed. From Kai Bright’s words, it seemed he truly had no feelings for Sophie Lee, which reassured her.
"I’ve made it clear to her that I’m about to get engaged to Lucy. What’s she still making a fuss about?" Kai Bright really couldn’t understand Sophie Lee’s mindset.
"Probably just unwilling to accept it." Sophie Wilson laughed and said, "You’ve got such charm, making people unable to forget you. Brother, you’ve got quite the blessings."
Kai Bright was speechless: "Could you stop treating this like a show? Is your brother’s drama that entertaining?"
"It sure is!" Sophie Wilson laughed heartlessly, almost making Kai Bright spit blood in frustration. "Sis, we’re family, even if the blood relation is distant, we’re still family."
"Alright, alright, I’ll stop teasing. You should comfort Lucy." Sophie Wilson laughed and said, "Sophie Lee won’t cause too much trouble."
After hanging up the call, Kai Bright dialed Lucy Wells. How he chose to comfort Lucy was his own business, Sophie Wilson didn’t concern herself with it.
"Mr. Seymour, have you packed?" Sophie Wilson leaped, directly hopping onto Charles Seymour’s back.
Charles Seymour bent slightly, supporting Sophie Wilson from behind to prevent her from falling off.
"Almost done." Charles Seymour held Sophie Wilson with one hand, hanging up clothes with the other.
"Once we’re finished, let’s go eat. I’m curious about the meal quality in the training camp." Sophie Wilson remarked, having never eaten there before and was curious.
"There’s some stir-fry." Charles Seymour said, "Here, they likely won’t let people wander around."
All those coming for the bid were staying in this building, not allowed to leave freely.
Anyway, the building had everything, food, and drinks, only for two days.
Unless someone had ulterior motives, who would wander off in the training camp?
"All set, let’s go." Charles Seymour closed the closet door and gave Sophie Wilson a light pat on the butt.
"I’m getting off." Sophie Wilson shifted.
Charles Seymour chuckled quietly, "I can carry you over."
"No!" Sophie Wilson huffed, jumping off Charles Seymour’s back.
"Shy?" Charles Seymour was curious, did his Sophie finally know what being shy meant?
"Hmph, why would I be shy?" Sophie Wilson huffed, "You carrying me is only natural. I just don’t want to tire you out because it’s so far."
Sophie Wilson’s words brought a smile to Charles Seymour’s eyes. He reached out his hand and said to her, "Let’s go."
Sophie Wilson took Charles Seymour’s hand, then went to call Edward Palmer and Lucy Wells.
Lucy Wells was still on the phone with Kai Bright, so Sophie Wilson and the others left first.
Edward Palmer smiled and said, "I still have a few things to sort out. I’ll go over with Director Wells in a bit."
"Alright then." Sophie Wilson nodded, "Call if you need anything."
"Sure." Edward Palmer nodded. Seeing the departing Charles Seymour nod slightly at him, he felt lucky, knowing his choice was wise.
Why follow a couple going for dinner?
Be a third wheel?
He figured it best not to be an annoyance.
He was perceptive enough to understand that much.
