Rebirth of the Peak Young Master
Chapter 1387: Never Gave Up
The Ice Point Bar was won by Jiang Guangrong through drinking games. Unexpectedly, Wu Feng still hadn’t given up on it after more than a year.
"Yeah, Mr. Wu is right. If you don’t hand over the bar, don’t blame my fists for being rude!" he said.
"I don’t think it’s time yet for a small fry like you to interfere, is it?" A very handsome man stepped out from behind Zheng Xueyun. His voice was soft and pleasant. He was wearing a gray suit, his hair dyed silver, his skin so fair it would make women jealous. He might be a little older than Jiang Guangrong.
"Who are you? What the hell are you talking about?" Mike had a terrible temper. If he disagreed with someone, he’d just punch that silver‑haired pretty boy.
The handsome silver‑haired man answered him with a punch of his own.
Their fists crashed together, and everyone heard the crisp sound of bones colliding.
The two of them each took two steps back.
Jiang Guangrong stared in surprise at the silver‑haired pretty boy. Mike was the top expert of the Revitalization Association in his book. His fists scared a lot of people. Yet this handsome silver‑haired guy, who looked as delicate as Wenwen, like a young man with a pretty face, actually forced Mike back.
Very quickly, Jiang Guangrong guessed the identity of the silver‑haired pretty boy. Of course, only Zhao Junkai, the first‑generation grandmaster of the Xingwu Gang, nicknamed the Silver Fox, could be on par with Mike! In Jiang Guangrong’s imagination, Zhao Junkai should’ve been a big, musclebound bruiser. It never crossed his mind that the Xingwu Gang’s top master would be a slim young guy, dressed light and casual, with a wickedly pretty face like Matt’s and the looks of a young man; the key point was, he was way too handsome!
Zhao Junkai brushed his silver hair off his forehead and, as soon as he opened his mouth, an insidious smile appeared on his face. "Dog, your strength isn’t that weak. I heard Mike used to be a woman, then went to Tai Country for that surgery and turned into a man. So I always thought Mike was a fake on the outside. I didn’t expect to see him in person today. He does have some strength."
Jiang Guangrong was almost amused to death by Zhao Junkai. Apparently Zhao Junkai wasn’t just handsome, he was funny too. Guys like this always got saddled with the title "lady‑killer"!
Jiang Guangrong secretly swept a look over almost all the women present. As expected, almost every woman’s eyes were on Zhao Junkai. Jiang Guangrong then snuck a glance at Zheng Xueyun. To his shock, Zheng Xueyun was staring at Wu Feng like a wolf eyeing prey. He was so stunned he almost stumbled over, tongue‑tied.
Jiang Guangrong couldn’t help rubbing his forehead. Yeah, Zheng Xueyun really wasn’t your ordinary woman.
Zhao Junkai’s words infuriated Mike; he snapped angrily, "Pretty boy, when I was fighting in Tai Country you were still off somewhere drinking milk, pretty boy!"
Zhao Junkai sneered, "A pretty boy is still better than you, you damn tranny."
"Fuck your mother!"
Mike’s face twisted with rage. Jiang Guangrong turned to Zhong Botao and said, "Brother Botao, is my face really that white?"
Zhong Botao pushed up his glasses. "Honestly? It’s not just not white, it’s even a bit dark."
"And he said I’m a pretty boy?"
"He’s probably color‑blind!"
"Oh, poor child!"
Mike felt an urge to cough up blood to vent his anger. With a shout, he charged at Jiang Guangrong.
Jiang Guangrong didn’t dare fight Mike and hurriedly backed away.
Mike wanted to keep chasing him. Zhao Junkai rushed in.
Mike smashed a heavy punch at Zhao Junkai’s jaw. Zhao Junkai shook his silver hair and easily dodged the blow. An insidious smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he drove his knee toward Mike’s gut. Mike lifted his own knee to meet it. Their knees collided with a crack. After that, the two traded a few more punches before finally breaking apart. Zhao Junkai retreated three steps, while Mike Sui had to back up four. The outcome between the two was decided!
"Get back here, Mike!" Wu Feng’s cold voice snapped from behind Mike.
Even though he was unwilling, Mike still retreated to Wu Feng’s side.
Wu Feng stared coldly at Zheng Xueyun. "Zheng Xueyun, you really want to go up against us?"
"I’m just a little woman, the cheapest kind. Once she wants to give something away, there’s nothing I can do about it!"
Wu Feng nodded viciously. "Fine, fine, I’ll remember this! Just you wait!"
Zheng Xueyun shrugged, indifferent.
Wu Feng suddenly walked over to Zhao Junkai and said, "I’m serious. If you ever want to come by, you’re welcome anytime. I can’t promise I’ll meet all your demands, but I’ll do my best."
Zhao Junkai gave Wu Feng a strange look, as if peering through fog.
Ignoring Zhao Junkai, Wu Feng walked up to Jiang Guangrong and said, "I agree to your terms."
Jiang Guangrong finally understood that Wu Feng was playing a counter‑scheme—and that this bastard actually had the nerve to pull such a dirty trick? Zhao Junkai clearly hadn’t caught on yet. Jiang Guangrong secretly cursed Wu Feng for being vicious, but Jiang Guangrong was no soft target either.
Jiang Guangrong immediately pulled an extremely exaggerated face at Wu Feng. "Damn, Mr. Wu, seriously? I just tossed that out casually. If I really wanted to mess with you, I’d have your mom keep me company for a few nights. You’re not even filial like a beast, and yet you actually agreed. If your mom finds out, she’ll die of rage. Junkai, there’s a reason Mr. Wu didn’t say yes to you. Line up and take turns!"
"Hahaha." Everyone burst into laughter.
Wu Feng hadn’t expected to shoot himself in the foot like that, and his face turned green again. "Sooner or later I’m going to rip that mouth of yours apart! Hmph, we’re leaving!"
"Clack!" The Xingwu Gang people all gave Wu Feng a look full of contempt.
Zhao Junkai came over and said softly, "Thanks. I was confused for a moment there—I thought that guy was running a high fever and it fried his brain. I didn’t expect him to be scheming like that."
Jiang Guangrong looked at Zhao Junkai’s delicate features and sighed. "Man, it’s not like I wanted to help you. But that guy just had to come for me, so I had no choice, even though I really don’t want to be friends with you."
A strange curve appeared at the corner of Zhao Junkai’s mouth. "Oh? Why not?"
Jiang Guangrong said with a straight face, "I hate people who are better‑looking than me, especially guys like you. You’re the most handsome man I’ve ever met. If I make friends with you, I won’t feel safe—I’ll never find a girlfriend. And even if I do, I’ll constantly be worrying she’ll elope with you."
"Hahaha." Zhao Junkai laughed, quietly slid his right hand into his sleeve, palmed a small dagger for a second, then put it back. "I like you. You’re interesting, really interesting."
Jiang Guangrong kept joking. "If you’re willing to tell me how to become as handsome as you, I might consider being your friend."
Zhao Junkai thought for a moment, then said with a grin, "Read more books, watch more news, eat fewer snacks, and get more sleep."
Jiang Guangrong was stunned. Then he gave Zhao Junkai a thumbs‑up, showing he was convinced. This guy really was a lady‑killer. Handsome enough to make people jealous, and with a sense of humor on top of that. It was just too much.
Wu Feng and his crew quickly left the bar.
Mike asked reluctantly, "Mr. Wu, that’s it?"
A vicious look flashed across Wu Feng’s face. "Of course not. I’ll need you to help me with something later. Tonight I’m going to get that young man and Zhao Junkai thrown into the station and locked up! Hmph, they want to go against me? They won’t even know how they died!"
"Got it!"
When Jiang Guangrong was sitting in a corner, Zhao Junkai appeared again. Jiang Guangrong just kept feeling that Zhao Junkai wasn’t a simple character. From the way he’d fought with Mike earlier, he felt Zhao Junkai hadn’t gone all out. This guy was way too strange.
