Chapter 95: Anissa

Three days passed since the Primarch was healed and the Wutherhorn manor had sprung back into life quickly.

Jacob noticed that there was a newfound glow in the halls of the large building, preparations for the celebration were moving along smoothly.

Light was nowhere to be found in these three days, most likely training for the gladiator show that the Primarch had told Jacob about.

Even though the Wutherhorns had been in mourning for the past two years, they were still a brutish family, power was the only thing that received any response here.

All of it stemmed from the Primarch, who never even uttered any substantial words to someone he deemed powerless or of low power.

Because of that, his children were forced to train every single day and fight in impromptu tournaments ince they were awakened, another reason why Light was a disappointment to him.

The boy had failed to awaken two times and the ran off with his tail between his legs, just before the third attempt, a cowardice move no doubt.

If there was anything the Primarch despised to his core, it was cowards, he placed farmers and working men over cowards. Cowards were the scorn of the earth, he executed them, he persecuted them, he cursed the day that they were born.

He couldn’t bear to look at Light Wutherhorn after such an action.

Light understood his father’s gripes, but as a child, he expected the man to understand his also.

It wasn’t so often that a child from a powerful bloodline failed to awaken, the backlash of such a phenomenon would be severe. He was awakened now, and he intended to show what he was capable of.

Light sat in his room, cultivating like he had done for the past three days, if he was going to do anything noteworthy at this feast, then he had to become even more powerful and hone his skills.

He hadn’t received any breakthrough yet, but he sensed it was close.

Time outside the forest seemed to move faster for some unexplainable reason. He didn’t like it much, but he had no choice but to deal with it anyways,

He was already in the zone when he heard a soft knock on his door.

KNOCK KNOCK!

It wad brief and respectful, but he was in the middle of something extremely important, and he didn’t wish to be disturbed, so he ignored it and continued his cultivation, steadying his breath.

The knock repeated itself, again. He ignored it for the second time, surely whoever was knocking wasn’t foolish enough to...

KNOCK KNOCK!

He heard it a third time, he was already annoyed by now, so he hissed and got up to his feet, slamming his shirt onto the bed forcefully. "Who the hell is that!" He demanded a response angrily, gritting his teeth.

"Young Lord..." The voice of Clarissa made its way into the room softly, she didn’t sound startled or afraid. "...You have a visitor."

Light was still annoyed, so he didn’t hesitate to mind his tongue when speaking to the maiden from inside of the room. "I have told you multiple times, when you knock and I don’t answer, it means I’m busy! So I expect you to leave me alo—"

"Light! I-It’s me, Anissa." A voice sounded from the other side of the thick door, a voice that made Light freeze in his tracks.

His mouth swung open and he was now sweating profusely. He recognized the voice even after twelve long years.

He gulped and stared at the door for an ample amount of time until he heard her voice again.

"A-Are you gonna let me in? Or should I go?" It was obvious from her tone of voice that she was just as nervous as he was.

Anissa clutched at her chest as she stood against the door, she had grown into an extremely beautiful woman. Her luscious golden hair flowed all the way to her bum, adorned with colorful flowers, her cheeks were as rosy as ever.

A brown cross pendant sat comfortably between her sizable breasts and her behind had grown considerably as well, she was even more endowed than Xenia was.

The minute she received news that Light was back, she packed her things and rushed over to the Wutherhorn estate as fast as she could, with her heart beating wildly in her chest as she drew closer.

Now only a door separated them, she yearned to see his face.

She stood there, waiting as her heart beats grew faster, thudding against her ribcage as though in an effort to escape her body.

The door finally opened and Light nearly melted to his knees, he knew Anissa was a beautiful girl but she had clearly become something else entirely. He unwittingly examined her from her head to toe, then gulped and stepped to the side, letting her walk into the room.

He glanced over at Clarissa, who bowed her head and scurried away without dismissal.

By the time he closed the door and turned around, Anissa had already planted herself on the bed, her shape was otherworldly, at least in Light’s eyes, she always looked like she was blushing due to her rosy cheeks.

He was lost for words as he ogled at her, she bit her fingers in silence as well, it was obvious that neither of them knew what to say or how to even begin.

"I-I, w-when I..."

"Y-You c-came..."

They both mumbled all at once, creating instant confusion, which they both chuckled at.

"I’m sorry, ladies first." Light managed to say as he stood in front of the woman.

"When I heard you came back, I had to come see you. I—" her words seemed to stop in her mouth as she twirled her hair on her index finger.

"Look, I’m aware that what I did was impractical, I was a little boy, you know and I was sca—" before he could even finish his sentence, the girl seemed to abandon all common sense, standing up quickly from where she sat, then running over and wrapping her arms around him, shocking him entirely.

She was sobbing now, he was shirtless so her tears just ran down his chest, all the way down to his abs, he held her there for a few moments.

"I missed you Light, you’re such a troublemaker, look how much trouble you caused." She complained all while holding him tight.

"I know I know, but I’m back home now, and I have such an exciting story to tell you."

She pried herself free from his embrace, and looked up at him with a confused expression. "I’m trying to explain to you the hole that your absence created in my heart and you’re talking about stories?" She hit his chest hard and wiped her face.

She seemed to function in the same way he did, he didn’t know whether it was attractive or scary.

He was happy to see her, just as he knew she was happy to see him. She mischievously planted a kiss on his cheek and went back to the bed. He sat beside her.

They spent the rest of the day talking, filling up the gaps of information that stood between them, he told her about his new powers, she also told him funny stories about the suitors that had come for her hand.
