Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System
Chapter 65: Han Ziyan’s recommendation
Everyone in the Han family was stunned after hearing the severity of Zhai Heng’s injuries; they never thought that someone would be daring enough to hurt the precious grandson of the Zhai family so severely. They all thought that it was a minor scuffle between young men. But who would have thought that the reality was way too different from what they thought?
When Han Ruochen heard Second Grandpa Zhai’s description, she couldn’t help but suck in a breath. Ah. Four broken ribs and one ruptured lung. She had indeed heard about this in her past life. So, in her previous life, the man who died after getting involved in a thug fight was actually Zhai Heng?
In her previous life, she was already married to the idiot son of the Yang family and was locked up, but she did hear about this incident. She had no idea whether those thugs really wanted to kill Zhai Heng, but when they were caught, they all said that they had gone too far while beating him and never wanted to kill him.
Anyway, no matter what their intentions were, they did kill someone, and they were executed after their trial was over.
As for Han Ruochen, how did she hear about it? Yang Jianming was the one who told Han Ziyan about it, and as the man was worried about her safety, he started dropping Han Ziyan off everywhere she wanted to go.
"Heng’er has sustained serious injuries and somehow managed to pass through the critical stage today. He has woken up, but he is still in the ICU. The doctor says that he has passed the crucial stage and will be fine. All he needed was a lot of rest and nutrition. Everything else will get better with the passing of time."
In the beginning, the Zhai family was worried about the life and death of Zhai Heng; how could they even care about who saved Zhai Heng?
It was only after Zhai Heng woke up that they went to the police station and asked them the name of the person who saved Zhai Heng. Fortunately, the police officers were honest and upright. They told the Zhai family that it was a young woman from the fishing village.
After Second Grandpa Zhai and Grandpa Zhai found out that it was Han Ruochen, Han Yichen’s daughter, who rescued their grandson/grandnephew, both of them were comforted by this very news.
"Xiao Han, don’t blame Second Uncle for taking such a long time to visit. Your daughter has saved my Heng’er, and we, the people of the Zhai family, owe you a big favour."
Second Grandpa Zhai was genuinely earnest because, in the past, when he was helping and guiding Han Yichen, it was all because of his friendship with Old Master Han. But now their family really owed a big favour to Han Yichen and his daughter.
"What are you even saying, Second Uncle? You are making it sound like we are strangers. You have taken care of me after my father passed away. It was all because of you that I was able to establish a business as successful as this one. Without you, I might have never succeeded. Anyway, Ah Chen just did what she was supposed to do, and I know my daughter; she would have done it for anyone. My daughter is not the kind of person who would have turned a blind eye to a situation as difficult as this one. So, Second Uncle, there is no need for you to worry about anything."
Han Yichen finally straightened up his spine in front of Second Grandpa Zhai. When he looked at Han Ruochen, there was a hint of pride in his eyes, and his heart was overwhelmed with joy.
"You have taught your daughter really well, Xiao Han." Second Grandpa Zhai praised Han Yichen. He turned to look at Han Ruochen and saw that the woman was rather calm; there was no hint of calculation in her eyes, as if she was not bothered by what she had done. Even when he praised her to the moon, she stayed calm. It seemed like Han Ruochen was just like her father; she was not the kind of person who would request someone to return the favours.
"Thank you for the praise, Second Uncle." Han Yichen bowed ninety degrees upon hearing Second Grandpa Zhai’s praise. He really found raising his daughter worthwhile. It was a good thing that Han Ruochen didn’t go astray.
When Han Ziyan heard the undiluted praise of Second Uncle Hai, she felt flustered. Why was Second Grandpa Zhai praising this woman so much? She just called for help and nothing else. She did not deserve this credit.
However, Han Ziyan was smart enough to keep these words to herself. She dared not say those words out loud in front of her father. With a look of worry, she asked, "Is Brother Heng okay?"
Han Ruochen arched a brow. Brother Heng? What happened to Brother Jianming? Moving on to a new target so soon?
"We think he will recover in a month, but for the time being, we will keep him under observation for the next fifteen days in the hospital." After he finished speaking, he sighed. "But this is not what I am worried about. The one thing that I am worried about is his unruly actions. He has already passed his high school examinations, but instead of going to the capital for study, he is staying at home and even causing trouble for us every now and then. If he were working hard instead of roaming around like a thug, then maybe he wouldn’t have gotten into trouble that night."
After what happened, Second Grandpa Zhai knew that he needed to do something about this nephew of his. If he continued down this path, he was worried that Zhai Heng would be ruined sooner or later.
Han Ziyan, on the other hand, had a brilliant idea. "Second Grandpa Zhai, how about you purchase my sister’s job? You heard my father...he said that my sister wants to give up on her job. Then maybe you can buy it for your grandnephew?"
