Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 871: Understanding The Grand Scheme
Jordan flew out of Samsara Heaven with a look of confusion on his face. The golden glow was just fading from his eyes and he was finding it hard to understand some things that had happened a few moments ago.
He remembered that he had been talking with Reincarnation, that old owl lady, and then, everything went blank. He didn’t know how long he had been unconscious, but he knew that he had been unconscious.
When he asked the All-King about this, the All-King replied, "All is well."
Jordan was suspicious, but nothing had happened and no harm had come to him so he was at ease.
However, he was also a little reluctant to let go of the fact that he had been knocked unconscious without being able to fight back, and a mysterious conversation had taken place between Kael and Reincarnation.
While they were crossing the Gap tear that connected the Hive Heaven to the Samsara Heaven, a group of immortal owls escorted them from behind.
The owls flapped their wings and talked amongst themselves using telepathy but they did not cross the Gap tear.
"So, she forcefully tore a gap to Hive Heaven knowing that we would be the first to come to her?" Jordan muttered as he created more distance between himself and the gap.
Behind him, the Gap tear began to fluctuate as other heavens were trying to get past and tear their own entrances once again.
In that brief time that Kael’s consciousness has existed out of the Alphaverse, Reincarnation seemed to have done something that caused her Samsara Heaven to block the other heavens.
"Yes," Kael spoke into Jordan’s mind. His will was already fading but Jordan could sense some hesitation and confusion coming from it.
This made Jordan even more curious. What had Reincarnation said to Kael to make him this way? He had been rather silent since he woke up.
"Wait, but I don’t understand," Jordan said, "Did she know that you were going to get this strong long ago or did she plan all this just for the sake of it?" He asked.
Kael did not answer this question, "We’ll find out soon enough," He said coldly as a golden screen flashed in front of Jordan.
[Mission: Hold Occupancy and stabilize the Hive Heaven.
Objective: Keep control until the Alphaverse fully integrates.
Duration: Seven days.]
Jordan was one of the many who received this mission.
He looked at the mission and sensed that Kael was acting decisively. Just because Samsara Heaven and Reincarnation had no intention of invading Hive Heaven didn’t mean that others wouldn’t.
"Jordan, what did you know about these...gods?" Kael asked.
Jordan shook his head, "I knew that they existed. And I knew that there was a former Primordial of Reincarnation who ascended.
I also knew that the Highest Will might be one of them, if not the strongest.
Besides that, I didn’t know much about them," Jordan said truthfully.
Those Divine Tier entities were truly mysterious and almost no one had seen them in action besides their followers who reside in their heavens.
Apart from the minor tricks that they would sometimes perform to change the trajectory of some events, it was incredibly hard to see them perform any true expression of power.
Because of this, no one besides the gods themselves knew just how powerful they were.
Some said that a god had the power to manipulate everything at the same time within their heavens
"Okay..." Kael answered, then his will was fully removed from Jordan’s mind.
Jordan turned around to see that he had created millions of light-years’ worth of distance between him and the gap in the brief moment he and Kael were talking.
Right before Jordan’s eyes, the massive Gap tear that stretched from one corner of the Eastern Hive Heaven began to shrink.
The shrinking was very little and it would not even be noticeable if not for the fact that Jordan was the one observing it himself. He could see the edge fluctuating ever so slightly.
Some were trying to get in but hadn’t committed to accepting what would happen to them when there was no way back.
The integration had started, and the factions on the other side of the little growing Alphaverse were not all in harmonious accord.
////
Leonine Heaven, the perceived center of the Alphaverse.
At the top of the Apex Pyramid, a crystal throne with a golden hue sat at the incomplete center.
The crystal throne had a luminous golden hue behind its glimmer and the crystal back shot sharply into the sky with stylish crystal shards shooting out of the sides.
On its own, the Crystal Throne harbored a shocking amount of power and seemed to be undergoing a transformation in its purpose.
This transformation, unlike any other that had ever occurred to a godly artifact, was due to the new owner sitting on it.
On this throne, Kael sat down with a regal aura. His back rested lazily in the crystal backrest and his left hand rested in the left armrest.
His eyes stared coldly into the distance. The sound of crisp tapping was heard as his fingers drummed rhythmically on the glassy surface of the throne.
"So...that’s how it is..." Kael muttered to himself.
With his other free hand, he snapped and a crown appeared.
The Crown of Defiant Ancestors.
Kael looked at this crown, this supposed godly artifact, with a look of disgust.
If Reincarnation had not told him, he would have never known that some of the memories from Alan had been altered.
No one would have known because almost everyone from that era was dead..
The All-King narrowed his eyes, replaying all that he had learned from the mysterious Owl God, Reincarnation.
The three generations of races, the U’tan Experiment with the Other Law, the logic of Derylia’s behaviour, the uncertainty of the other gods’ standing, and the fact that Kael may actively be driving the Highest Will to wipe out the universe.
There was a gamble, a very serious and very big gamble. Who would survive that wipeout?
When the Highest Will chooses to start all over again, it would be literal. Even the gods will have to go.
And the gods themselves were not sure if they would survive. They had never died and even they couldn’t kill themselves.
But, the Other Law was there. There were so many fates far worse than death, far worse.
They were all looking for two things. Two things that governed the grand scheme and made Kael understand a little about what was happening.
The first thing was that the gods could either help the Highest Will stabilize everything and prevent him from having to do that clean-up.
Or...
They could fight back.
