The light of dawn was beginning to slip through the curtains of Elanor’s room when Max slowly opened his eyes.

For a second, he didn’t understand where he was.

Then he felt the warm weight resting on his chest.

He looked down.

Elanor was sleeping while hugging him beneath the sheets, completely relaxed, part of her reddish hair spread across his body.

Her breathing was calm.

And seeing her like that made Max’s chest feel warm.

He still had trouble processing everything that had happened the night before.

The princess of Eldoria was literally sleeping while holding him.

’Oh my God.’

Max carefully lifted a hand to stroke her hair without waking her.

And right then, a translucent window appeared in front of his eyes.

A system interface.

But different.

It looked like a chat.

Max blinked in confusion.

Then a message appeared.

[Atlas: Looks like you were having fun last night.]

Max’s eyes widened.

’NO WAY.’

Another message immediately appeared below it.

[Atlas: Hope I’m not interrupting.]

[Atlas: Though honestly, it would’ve been pretty funny if I had.]

Max felt embarrassment rush straight to his face.

’WAS SHE WATCHING ME?’

Atlas kept typing casually.

[Atlas: I just wanted to confirm something.]

[Atlas: I could feel that you’ve already gotten pretty close to the person summoning beings from other worlds.]

Max frowned slightly.

The smile slowly disappeared from his face.

And automatically, he thought of Thara.

After everything they had discovered.

The forbidden rituals.

The strange seal.

The suspicious behavior.

Vesper saying her sister wasn’t the same anymore.

And now this.

’It’s her.’

Max was completely convinced.

’It has to be Thara.’

He tried touching the system window to reply to Atlas.

Nothing.

He tried again.

Still didn’t work.

"Seriously?" he muttered quietly.

Another message appeared.

[Atlas: You can’t reply to me from here.]

[Atlas: But yeah, you’re probably thinking the same thing I am.]

Max narrowed his eyes.

"Then just tell me directly if it’s her..." he whispered.

But Atlas completely ignored that.

[Atlas: I’ll leave you alone to enjoy your morning with your future wife.]

And finally, one last message appeared.

[Atlas: XOXO.]

The window disappeared immediately afterward.

Max stared at the empty space in front of him for a few seconds.

Then he let out a quiet laugh through his nose.

’I can’t believe she’s jealous.’

He had no proof.

But also no doubts.

Right then, he felt movement on top of him.

Elanor slowly opened her eyes while lifting her head slightly from his chest.

There was still sleepiness in her gaze.

And even so, she still looked ridiculously beautiful.

The princess smiled softly when she saw him awake.

Then gave him a small kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning..." she murmured in a sleepy voice.

Max smiled automatically.

"Good morning."

Elanor adjusted herself a little more comfortably while hugging him.

"What are you doing awake so early?"

Max let out a small laugh.

"No idea."

He glanced toward the window glowing with dawn light.

"But it feels like a great day to have an early breakfast by the fountain outside."

Elanor smiled faintly.

"That sounds nice..."

Then she looked up at him slightly.

"Though first..."

Max raised an eyebrow.

The princess gently placed a hand against his chest.

"I want to take a bath with you."

Max felt his brain stop working again.

Elanor laughed softly when she noticed his expression.

"And afterward we can go to the courtyard."

Max took a few seconds to react.

Then he ended up smiling in defeat.

"Yeah..."

He gave her a small kiss on the forehead.

"That sounds like an excellent plan."

A while later, Max and Elanor crossed the castle courtyard together, both fully dressed and freshly bathed.

The morning air was cool.

The fountain quietly echoed in the center of the courtyard.

And sitting at their usual table were Moonlight, Abby, and Sophie.

Moon was drinking tea while devouring cookies with absolute happiness.

Abby rested her chin on one hand while talking with Sophie.

And Sophie had several papers and fabrics spread across the table, clearly related to the wedding.

All three looked up at the same time when they saw Max and Elanor arriving together.

And Abby instantly smiled with dangerously mischievous energy.

"Good morning, lovebirds."

Max already knew exactly what was coming.

"Looks like you two had a good night."

Elanor immediately turned completely red.

Max did too.

While Abby was clearly enjoying the situation way too much.

Sophie sighed softly.

"To be honest..."

She looked at Elanor.

"I didn’t go looking for you in your room because Abby told me you’d probably be busy."

Abby smiled proudly.

"And I didn’t want to interrupt."

Elanor ended up laughing in embarrassment.

"Thank you..."

Abby gave a dramatic thumbs-up.

"At your service, Princess."

Moonlight puffed her cheeks slightly.

"I wanted to have dinner with you too."

Max sat down beside her while trying to maintain his mental composure.

"You didn’t miss anything important," he said quickly.

"It was an adult situation."

And automatically, he remembered the previous night.

The bed.

The candles.

Elanor hugging him beneath the sheets.

The kiss.

The princess saying she wanted children.

Max felt his face heating up again.

Abby noticed immediately.

And burst into an amused laugh.

"Wow."

She shamelessly winked at him.

"Looks like you really were having a lot of fun."

"Abby!"

Sophie looked horrified.

"Behave yourself a little."

The demon girl quickly raised both hands.

"Sorry, sorry."

Though she clearly wasn’t sorry at all.

Sophie sighed before looking back at Elanor.

"If you want, I can wait until after breakfast to continue with the preparations."

The princess smiled gratefully.

"Thank you, Sophie."

The cat girl nodded, then looked toward Abby.

"Could you bring the breakfast tray for them?"

Abby gave an exaggerated bow.

"As you command, future queen."

Then headed toward the inside of the castle while still laughing to herself.

Max finally sat down beside Elanor and Moonlight.

Moon had already completely stopped being upset.

Why?

Because Sophie had just placed a new plate full of cookies in front of her.

The little dragon immediately smiled while starting to eat again happily.

And honestly, seeing Elanor smiling beside him, Moon happily sitting in front of him, and the sunlight softly illuminating the castle courtyard...

For a moment.

Even if it was only for a moment.

Max felt like maybe he really could have a happy life in that world.
