"So, you’re saying that Xue Yang has been cutting back on sleep just to make money?" Lin Xi finally concluded after hearing what Cui Hao said.

"Yeah, that guy is sleeping less than two hours a day. I’m worried if this keeps up, he’s going to die an early death."

Lin Xi fell silent.

So, what I saw last night wasn’t an illusion. Xue Yang really did look haggard. It was only because I came back that he went to bed early, which is why he seemed so energetic this morning. "No. I want to help Xue Yang." As for how to help, she still needed to figure that out.

Xue Yang is working himself to the bone, and it’s all for our future together. I was taking things far too much for granted. I used to think that as long as I worked hard and got into Yanbei University, that would be enough. It wasn’t until Cui Hao found me just now that I realized how terribly wrong I was. "I’m not sure yet. I figured I’d go check some things out first."

"Isn’t Xue Yang there for that?" Si Wen said matter-of-factly.

Hearing this, Lin Xi’s brow furrowed slightly. "But he’ll be exhausted doing so much."

Si Wen stopped and looked at her. "Your heart aches for him?"

Lin Xi nodded. "Yes, it does. Si Wen, I think if you have the time, you should take a more active role in the clothing line. Don’t let Xue Yang work so hard."

"Don’t worry, the clothing line is on the right track now. I won’t bother him unless it’s something major. As for the endorsements, that’s out of my hands for now. We really couldn’t find anyone more suitable than your fiancé."

"Come on, let’s go get something to eat."

The two continued on their way. As they passed the gymnasium, they saw numerous clubs actively recruiting new members. The recruiters’ eyes lit up the moment they spotted Lin Xi and Si Wen.

"Hey, look! It’s the freshman belle. She’s gorgeous."

Some people look good from a distance, but not so much up close. You get a little closer and notice all their minor flaws. Lin Xi was different. She possessed the kind of beauty that made any previous assessment of her feel completely inadequate.

"So, what do you guys think? Is the freshman belle actually involved with the Student Council President? If not, I’m gonna make my move."

"Didn’t they already make it official? Are you sure you want to try? You’ll probably get annihilated in a second."

"When did they make it official? Did you see an announcement?"

The guy who wanted to make a move thought about it and realized it was true. They hadn’t officially announced their relationship on any platform. In fact, they were never even seen together. It was hard for anyone to believe they were really a couple.
