Rejected by the Campus Belle, I Find My True Love
Chapter 552 - 550: The Dispute over the Entrepreneurial Base
Hearing the surrounding discussion, Cui Hao felt a surge of anger. He didn’t hesitate to step forward and defend Xue Yang.
"What do you mean, ’snatching territory’? These are resources provided by the school for its students, and everyone has the right to apply," Cui Hao said, his voice firm and powerful.
"Just because Xue Yang rented an entire building off-campus doesn’t mean he’s lost the right to apply for the school’s Entrepreneurship Base, does it?" he retorted, his tone dripping with dissatisfaction.
Not to be outdone, the senior student shot back, "The Entrepreneurship Base has limited resources, and 303 is the last available spot. Since Xue Yang has already found success and has his own building, isn’t coming back to apply for a free space just snatching it from others?"
He had been planning to apply for 303 himself once his own business expanded. It would not only help his business grow but also allow him to showcase his achievements on campus and boost his reputation. He never expected 303 to be taken before he could even implement his plan. If it had been anyone else, he would have let it go. After all, the school did provide these spaces for students, so he couldn’t say much. But it just had to be Xue Yang. It was hard not to suspect the guy had done it on purpose.
As the two sides argued, the atmosphere grew increasingly tense. Just then, a voice suddenly cut through the crowd. "Look, Xue Yang is here!"
This shout eased the tension slightly, but the air still crackled with hostility.
Xue Yang walked into the crowd, completely unfazed. Facing the charged atmosphere, he remarked casually, "Quite a lively scene."
Seeing Xue Yang arrive, Cui Hao moved to his side and whispered in his ear, "Godfather, these people are here to make trouble."
"Xue Yang, I’m asking you," the senior challenged, "you’ve already rented a building, so why come back to school and compete with us for the Entrepreneurship Center?"
In response to the senior’s accusation, Xue Yang replied calmly, "Senior, please hear me out. I did indeed reserve classroom 303, but I didn’t snatch it. I simply followed the school’s official application procedures for the Entrepreneurship Base. If you have any doubts about it, you can take it up with the school administration for clarification."
The senior was left speechless. Everyone knew that the Entrepreneurship Center was managed by Teacher Gong Li. Not only was she Xue Yang’s mentor, who would surely protect her own student, but her infamous school-wide nickname was "Master Miejue." Who would dare to question her? Do I have a death wish?
"While the senior considers the Entrepreneurship Base crucial, for me, it’s a platform to share my experience and help more of our fellow students. I hope to use this space to inject more vitality into the school’s entrepreneurial atmosphere."
His words left the students deep in thought. They began to reflect on their own initial intentions for applying to the base. Wasn’t it also to use the school’s resources to support and help more students? However, once they actually embarked on their entrepreneurial journeys, they found the path was not as smooth as they had imagined; it was fraught with hardships and obstacles. Many times, they struggled just to ensure their own survival and growth, let alone help anyone else.
"Since you’re so confident, Junior, we’ll just have to wait and see," the senior said. He turned and walked back into his base in room 302, but he silently vowed that one day he would surpass Xue Yang and prove his own strength.
Seeing that the drama was over, the others dispersed and returned to their own bases.
Xue Yang’s arrival was destined to stir things up at the Entrepreneurship Center.
"Godfather, you’re amazing! You sent them scurrying away with their tails between their legs with just a few words," Cui Hao said, giving Xue Yang a thumbs-up. "If it had been me, a fight would have been unavoidable."
"Was I wrong?" Xue Yang asked calmly.
"No, of course not! We applied for it fair and square. They’re just jealous. By the way, Godfather, what exactly are you planning to do with the Entrepreneurship Base you applied for?" Cui Hao asked curiously.
"Sell goods. Clearance," Xue Yang stated simply.
Hearing this, Cui Hao asked uncertainly, "Godfather, you’re not actually planning to pack up everything from Yonghui Supermarket and sell it here, are you?"
"Yes and no. Here, take this document and study it carefully. If there’s anything you don’t understand, come and ask me."
After leaving the library, Cai Keke walked with a solemn expression, as if weighed down by some trouble.
"Keke, is something on your mind?" Cen Xue asked with concern when she saw her return to the dorm.
Cai Keke snapped back to reality, slightly startled. "Huh? No, I’m fine."
"But you’ve been lost in thought ever since you got back from the library. Don’t tell me... Xue Yang really confessed his feelings to you?" Cen Xue winked playfully, her eyes twinkling with gossip.
Cai Keke hastily waved her hands. "No way! Stop making things up."
"Oh? Then could it be that you were harshly rejected by Xue Yang? Did he tell you to stop bothering him?" A whole drama was already unfolding in Cen Xue’s mind, casting Cai Keke as the "poor victim."
Cai Keke sighed and explained, "It’s neither of those. Xue Yang gave me a document, and I’m hesitating about whether or not to cooperate with him."
"What? Xue Yang gave *you* a document?" Cen Xue immediately seized on the key point.
Feeling helpless, Cai Keke handed the document to Cen Xue. "Honestly, I’d rather not get involved, but..." She hesitated for a moment before continuing, "I don’t want to miss the chance to get closer to him, even if I know it’s impossible between us."
Cen Xue looked at her with understanding and nodded. "You just want to be a little closer to him, right? Even one small step would make you happy."
Cai Keke nodded lightly. "So, Cen Xue, I hope you can keep this a secret."
"Don’t worry, I understand," Cen Xue promised solemnly.
Cai Keke took a deep breath, as if steeling her resolve. In the end, I’ve decided to follow my heart. Even if I’m not his only choice, I still have to try. Her eyes were firm, her mind made up.
Cai Keke’s decision was like a stone tossed into a calm lake, sending out ripples. She knew full well that collaborating with Xue Yang would be a journey filled with challenges and unknowns, but she was prepared to face whatever came her way.
Seeing the determination in Cai Keke’s eyes, Cen Xue couldn’t help but cheer her on internally. She knew that while Cai Keke appeared delicate on the outside, her spirit was exceptionally strong—a quality that would become her greatest strength in the face of adversity.
"Keke, I believe you can do it," Cen Xue said gently, her eyes brimming with encouragement and support.
Cai Keke smiled and nodded, her heart filled with gratitude. She knew that with a friend like Cen Xue by her side, she would never feel alone, no matter what difficulties she faced.
When Xue Yang received Cai Keke’s message, he wasn’t surprised.
We’re all young; making money ought to be the priority. As long as you’re not stealing or robbing, who cares about the method? If it makes money, it’s a good method, right?
