Remarriage Failed Again Today
Chapter 315: I Like You So Much 1
Leona Grant walked into the villa.
As soon as he stepped into the living room, the warm, delicious aroma of home cooking suddenly washed over him.
It was a familiar yet foreign scent, a sense of déjà vu.
Leona Grant casually loosened his tie, his gaze drifting unintentionally toward the kitchen, only to freeze in place—
In the kitchen, Annabelle Linton had just finished stir-frying a dish. Unsure what to make next, she was flipping through a cookbook.
She was wearing a white blouse with a bow at the collar and a black, high-waisted, asymmetrical A-line denim skirt. The outfit was both form-fitting and refreshing.
Annabelle had a wonderful figure—tall and slender, with striking curves. Her skin was fair, and her legs were long and slim, making them stand out against the black skirt.
At that moment, she was staring at the cookbook with a blank expression. Her long, curled lashes fluttered, casting a faint shadow on her face.
Her hair was swept to one side, and the light pouring down from above created a soft halo around her, softening her usual distant and indifferent air with an almost unreal gentleness.
Her focused, serious expression made Leona stare blankly for a moment. Then, as if realizing something, a smile gradually appeared on his devastatingly handsome face.
’Is she cooking for me?’
’Is she this focused right now all because she’s cooking for me?’
’So her focus can be on me after all.’
The corners of Leona’s mouth couldn’t help but lift as he leaned against the doorframe, watching her without blinking.
Annabelle, wearing a light-blue, floral-patterned apron, kept her lovely lips pressed together as she studied the cookbook for a while before setting it down.
The moment she looked up, her eyes met Leona’s deep gaze and the twinkling smile within them.
Annabelle’s face, habitually cold, was about to harden, but then she remembered her objective. She awkwardly forced a faint smile. "You’re back."
Leona watched the faint curve of her lips, a dazed look flashing in his eyes.
In the past, whenever he came home while she was cooking, she would immediately break into a smile just like this.
This was the first time she had smiled at him in four months.
Leona stared at her beautiful features, utterly speechless.
Scenes like this had played out in his mind countless times after the divorce, but every time he tried to speak, she would disappear.
He just kept staring at her, unable to utter a single word.
Seeing him stand there silently, Annabelle assumed he didn’t want to talk and simply turned back to stir-fry her dish.
’It all comes down to this,’ she thought. ’I’ll try to get on his good side first. If that doesn’t work, I’ll have to find another way.’
Leona watched her back, mesmerized as she busied herself, and finally realized this wasn’t a fantasy.
It was really Annabelle. Annabelle was cooking for him.
In the past, when she used to cook for him often, he never appreciated it.
But now that she had changed, he was only just realizing how precious it all had been.
He thought he would never see a sight like this again.
Annabelle was chopping vegetables when a pair of strong arms suddenly wrapped around her from behind.
At the same time, a crisp, unique scent of mint, mingled with a rich, masculine aroma, forcefully, invasively filled her nostrils.
Annabelle jumped, startled. She was about to reflexively push him away, but his arms only held her tighter.
Just as she was about to turn her head, Leona’s warm lips brushed against her ear, and he asked in a low voice, "What are you doing?"
Annabelle couldn’t help but roll her eyes. The retort, ’Are you blind?’ was on the tip of her tongue.
But she swallowed the words back down. Forcing herself not to push him away, she lowered her gaze and said flatly, "Cooking."
A hopeful and excited glint shone in Leona’s eyes. "For me?" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Annabelle was silent for a moment before replying softly, "Yes."
Leona was so happy he was practically floating.
Annabelle was really cooking for him.
