Ding!~Dong!

Jeff put on his red trunks and shirt before getting off the bed, leaving Nubia and Veena to continue their intimacy while they waited for him to come back after checking who had been patiently waiting outside and continuously ringing the intercom.

Looking at the intercom screen, Jeff saw a pair of police officers: a middle-aged man and a young woman.

It made him anxious, but he had no choice but to talk to them.

"I’m sorry for answering quite late," he said through the intercom. "Do you need something, officers?"

"Are you the one named Jeff?"

"If so, we would like to invite you to the station regarding Dexter’s death."

"Wait—that bastard is dead?!"

***

"Ehh—Dexter is dead?" Nubia gasped, surprised by the sudden news Jeff had just shared while the three of them were sitting on the sofa, eating their late lunch and early dinner of pizza.

They had just finished their threesome, with Nubia and Veena wearing only Jeff’s red shirts, while Jeff himself was wearing nothing but his black trunks.

"Dexter? Who is that?" Veena murmured, earning an awkward smile from Jeff, who was sitting beside her, and Nubia, who was sitting on Jeff’s left. Both of them felt relieved that Veena didn’t remember him, yet at the same time were in disbelief that she couldn’t.

Setting aside Veena’s cup-noodles-cooking-time attention span for things she wasn’t interested in, Jeff continued telling them what the police officers had told him earlier.

"That’s why they asked me and Veena to go to the police station for questioning."

"Ehh—"

"Are we going somewhere again, Jeff-senpai?"

"—And you’re just telling us that now?!" Nubia exclaimed.

It wasn’t only the fact that they had to attend questioning regarding Dexter’s death that concerned Nubia.

It was the fact that Jeff had continued their threesome by giving Veena her turn as if he wasn’t concerned about Dexter’s death at all, then had them eat their meal before finally telling them what the police had said.

"But I didn’t want to ruin the mood of our intimacy," Jeff said, calming Nubia down by pulling her into an embrace.

"And Vee would surely cry if she didn’t get her turn," he added as Veena joined their embrace.

In Jeff’s defense, the two police officers had given him some time to prepare before keeping his promise to attend the questioning at the station—especially after he told them that he had been in the middle of intimacy with his girlfriends, which was why he couldn’t answer the intercom right away.

In fact, the two officers had even offered their apologies, understanding that they had come at the most inappropriate time.

"Besides, we already made a plan for this kind of situation."

Like Jeff said, everyone involved in the confrontation against Dexter and the FGH organization—mainly Jeff himself, Kris, Marc, their girlfriends, other members of the Iron Rod Legion brotherhood, and even Natan’s group—had already agreed on a single alibi even before Jeff decided to release Dexter and his men.

Everything that had happened involving Dexter had been claimed by Natan and his men, including abducting, confining, and torturing them for a week—all supposedly because they had assaulted Natan’s girlfriends.

Still, Jeff was, of course, concerned that Dexter’s men might break their oath of silence once they were questioned by the police. That was why he had decided to spend another 30 Intimacy Points and cast another Returner Curse.

Liar’s Punishment—a curse that would impose consequences on anyone who broke their promise.

It was a curse as heavy as Eternal Vengeful Karma, depending on the weight of the broken promise.

Although it only covered one specific condition, it could be cast on multiple targets at once.

With Liar’s Punishment in effect, if Dexter and his men ever attempted to break their silence and confess to anyone about Jeff’s group’s involvement in their abduction, confinement, and torture, the consequence would be the loss of the freedom and life that Jeff had granted them in exchange for their silence—more specifically, death.

All that remained for them to worry about was how exactly Dexter had died.

"Now let’s get dressed and head to the police station," Jeff said, carrying Nubia and Veena over his shoulders toward the bed. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

"I can walk on my own, so put me down, stupid Jeff!"

"Please help me get dressed, Jeff-senpai!"

***

As expected of someone working in a fashion company, Nubia presented herself in elegant clothes worthy of her mature beauty—a short black dress that highlighted the curves of her body: her large breasts, slender waist, ample hips, and rear, while exposing her long, slender legs down to her black high heels. Over it, she wore an eye-catching red coat to cover her exposed shoulders.

Veena, on the other hand, wore only a simple oversized gray jacket over her short blue dress, paired with white sneakers. Yet her blonde beauty and cheerful demeanor earned admiration equal to Nubia’s.

Jeff, meanwhile—despite already working part-time as Jess’s partner in couple photoshoots—was wearing nothing more than plain white sweatshorts and a hoodie paired with slippers, as if he were simply out for a night stroll.

"Learn to dress properly already, bastard," Kris said upon meeting Jeff at the police station.

"At least do it for your girlfriends, idiot," Marc added, pointing out that he and Kris were at least wearing proper coats, shirts, demi-jeans, and shoes.

"It’s a questioning—or interrogation—not a freaking job interview," Jeff retorted, earning himself the threat of Kris and Marc pulling down his sweatshorts.

"Stop acting like children, you three perverts!" Nubia shouted while restraining Veena, stopping her from joining their childish game.

Like Jeff and Veena, Kris and Marc had also been asked by the police to attend the questioning.

It only proved that the police had no knowledge about the confrontation with Dexter and his men. If they did, they would have invited Nubia as well.

Still, Nubia had come as Veena’s guardian.

Some of Veena’s friends who had also been invited arrived a bit later at the station, which made Jeff certain that the police only knew about the incident at the first-year welcome party, when they had stopped Dexter from hunting Veena.

***

A moment later, the questioning began, starting with one of the two groups who had already been at the police station even before Jeff’s group arrived—a group of twelve FGH members, all of Dexter’s men, including those who had been at the welcome party, the camping incident, and the FGH hideout.

While waiting, Jeff approached the leader of the second group, Natan.

Although they were being monitored, the two police officers stationed in the waiting room allowed Jeff and Natan to talk.

"You know that bastard, right?" Jeff said, avoiding mentioning Natan’s name and acting as if they didn’t know each other so the police wouldn’t become suspicious. "Can you tell me what exactly happened to him?"

Natan understood Jeff’s goofy acting and responded like a total stranger while still giving him the information he wanted.

"As if I know what happened to that bastard after I beat him up," Natan said, keeping up the role as Dexter’s enemy. "I was worried about my girlfriends’ safety when I heard he went missing, but now that he’s dead, I can finally rest assured."

So even he didn’t know anything about Dexter’s death, Jeff thought.

He then turned to ask the police officers.

The police officers—the same pair who had come to Jeff’s apartment that afternoon—decided that revealing a few details wouldn’t affect the results of the questioning.

---

Yesterday, Dexter’s parents filed a missing person report, although he had already been missing for a few days after going to a bar late at night.

The police first interrogated Natan’s group since they had a previous conflict with Dexter’s group. However, Natan, his girlfriends, and even his men had proven alibis showing that they had been following the restraining order not to approach Dexter.

Then, just this noon, Dexter’s still-aroused, naked, cold corpse was found in the Capital City’s forest park, along with two other FGH members.

All three had been dumped in a large pit in the ground—the same pit that Jeff, Kris, and Marc had dug during their tree-planting and camping event for the Central High organization.

---

Setting aside who truly killed Dexter and the alarming location where his corpse had been found, Jeff had actually decided not to use his remaining 30 Intimacy Points to place the Liar’s Punishment curse on Natan and his group.

Not because he completely trusted them, but because he was reserving those points for emergencies.

However, what happened next at the police station made Jeff reconsider his decision.

"Someone! Call an ambulance!"

That was all Jeff and everyone in the waiting room could hear.

While everyone else was confused by the panicked and hurried sounds coming from outside the room, Jeff alone understood what had happened.

Someone—or perhaps more than one person—among the FGH members had attempted to break their promise and confess the truth to the police.

They ended up dying of an unknown cause, as their hearts stopped beating right there in their seats.
