Chapter 194: Just Friends - Part 4

"Can we get the couple’s special, please?"

"Ehh..."

"Of course, but you do need to prove that you two are a couple."

"Would a kiss be enough as proof?"

"Jeff..."

"Yes, that would be more than enough."

After riding the bus, Jeff and Klea arrived at the Capital’s shopping mall for their date.

Since it was already noon, their first destination was the food court on the top floor, where Jeff quickly spotted what he was hoping to find—a café offering a couple’s special event.

While still holding Klea’s left hand with his right, Jeff grabbed her by the waist, pulling her closer until their bodies pressed against each other. He leaned in and whispered to her.

"It’s not like we’ve never kissed before," he said, then looked at Klea, waiting for her response—or rather, waiting for her to kiss him on her own.

Coming on a date with Jeff meant that she had agreed to give him a chance, as he had asked before they got on the bus.

Still, kissing Jeff in public would also mean Klea was officially declaring that decision, whether someone they knew saw them or not.

It also meant that she would be cheating on her boyfriend.

But after being ignored when she refused to be involved in NTR with another man, Klea was more concerned about how Jeff would feel if she denied his approach and pushed him away, rather than what Liam would feel once he heard the rumors and everything else.

Klea leaned toward Jeff, bringing her lips to his for a kiss.

CLICK!

Although it only lasted a few seconds, Klea could clearly feel the affection as Jeff tightened his embrace and returned the kiss. It made her excited for the rest of their date.

She didn’t even hear the sound of the camera shutter as the female receptionist took a picture of them kissing.

"As part of our event, your photo will be displayed on our event board and website. I hope that’s fine with you," said the receptionist, handing them a copy of their picture.

Klea flusteredly accepted the photo, silently agreeing to the request, while Jeff guided her to an open table near the rooftop garden.

"Can I take a picture of our kissing photo?" Jeff teased as he sat beside her.

"You can just have it..." Klea murmured, handing the photo to him while looking dejected.

Jeff easily understood what Klea was worried about.

"Don’t you want to keep it?" he asked, refusing the photo after taking a picture of it with his smartphone.

"If it’s with me, Liam might see it," Klea replied, only to instantly panic at Jeff’s response.

"I’m gonna send it to him anyway, so you don’t have to worry."

"Wait! You can’t do that, Jeff!"

"Sorry, I’m just messing around," Jeff laughed, grinning at Klea while enjoying her panicked reaction. "I’m actually sending it to Jess."

"You can’t do that either!"

After Klea kept their kissing photo safely inside her purse and asked Jeff to delete the picture he took—fearing he might actually send it to Liam and probably to Jess as well—their couple’s special meal was served.

Although it was just a large set of burger and fries with parfait, the fact that they were sharing it while eating together was enough to make it feel special. Not to mention, it was fifty percent off.

"You’re not going to let go of my hand, are you?" Klea said, noticing Jeff had no intention of releasing her left hand as he grabbed the burger with his left.

"It’s a couple’s special meal, so why not eat it this way?" Jeff replied, loud enough for the other couples to hear.

Although Klea felt flustered with everyone looking at them, waiting for her response, she took a bite of the burger Jeff offered and picked up the fries to feed him.

Soon, the other couples started imitating them, eating while holding hands and using their free hands to feed each other.

A moment later, the café staff added a new rule to the event. They tied each couple’s hands together with a ribbon and took another photo of them eating together.

"How exactly is your relationship with your girlfriends, Jeff...?" Klea whispered as she kept the second photo safely inside her purse with the first.

Unlike with Nubia, where Jeff kept teasing by hiding the current situation of his Harem x Yuri Plan, he thought he at least needed to explain things to Klea and make them less complicated.

He told her about the first rule Jess had set: she would only approve of other girls if she liked them.

The second rule: Jeff could only get intimate with girls he loves.

And the third rule: Jeff wouldn’t hide anything from Jess about his intimacy with other girlfriends.

"And how many girlfriends do you have in your harem...?" Klea asked, interrupting his explanation.

Jeff put down the hamburger he was holding, then grabbed the spoon and scooped a small portion of cream laced with strawberry syrup, offering it to her.

Klea understood what Jeff was doing as she opened her lips and accepted the sweet.

The first scoop was meant to be Jess.

Klea knew Jess—at least from what she overheard from Kris and Marc, and from her own research. She was even surprised to learn that Jess was a rising model of PoruMerc Fashion Company.

The second scoop was meant to be Nubia, or so Klea assumed.

She knew Nubia as well, having seen her at university hanging out with Jeff, and was shocked to overhear from Kris and Marc that the heir of PoruMerc had become one of Jeff’s girlfriends.

The third scoop was meant for the cheerful and cute Veena, whom Jeff had introduced as his girlfriend.

The fourth scoop was meant for her—or so Klea thought.

The fifth scoop made Klea stare at Jeff with widened eyes as he slipped the sweet between her lips, hanging open in shock.

The sixth scoop made Klea glare at Jeff, while he responded with a teasing grin.

Still, despite her growing irritation, Klea opened her lips again, ready to accept the sweet—until Jeff suddenly ate it himself.

Only then did Jeff put down the spoon and lean closer to whisper into her ear.

"That one was meant to be you," he said, hitting Klea harder than what his actions and words alone implied.

Seeing her flustered and speechless, her face blushing red as she understood what he meant, Jeff continued explaining his Harem x Yuri Plan—that like Jess, Nubia, Veena, Mira, and Mina, Klea would have to be in a Yuri relationship with them.

"Was that really necessary?" Klea asked, confused. "Are you into intimacy between girls? Why would you even ask them to become each other’s girlfriends?"

Jeff once again leaned toward her, burying his face into her shoulder before telling her the truth.

"So that all of you won’t be alone... and you’ll have each other, even if something happens to me."

"Don’t say something that sad..."

Hearing her mumble, Jeff raised his head and saw that she was on the verge of tears.

"I’m sorry for making you sad, Klea," he said, wiping her tears, which was immediately followed by a kiss.

Klea responded just as intimately and passionately, without any care for guilt or the embarrassment of other couples who might be watching.

When their lips finally parted after a kiss long enough for others to tease them and whisper about their next destination, Jeff tried to cheer her up.

"Was it just the sweet, or do your lips actually taste like strawberry?" he said with a grin.

Despite feeling embarrassed, Klea endured and tried to get back at him.

She grabbed the spoon, scooped some cream laced with chocolate syrup, and quickly offered it to him while glaring, her face flushed, forcing him to accept.

Even before Jeff could melt the sweet on his tongue, Klea sealed his lips with a kiss, her tongue slipping in to taste him.

"And yours taste like chocolate," she said, before becoming completely mortified and burying her face in his chest to hide from the crowd’s gleeful cheers.

Klea became too embarrassed to continue eating, leaving Jeff to finish what was left of the couple’s special meal before they headed to their next destination—the same tech store where he bought Veena’s smartphone.

"I’m telling you, I don’t need you to gift me something this expensive," Klea said, refusing the newest model of smartphone—a white one—that Jeff was buying for her.

"My current smartphone isn’t even outdated yet," she added, but the male clerk, who recognized Jeff as the guy cheating on his girlfriend with multiple girls, continued setting up the phone, following Jeff’s instructions to secure his commission.

"It’s not about gifting you something expensive or replacing your old smartphone Liam gave you," Jeff said, embracing Klea from behind while still holding her hand, which annoyed the clerk just like last time when he was with Veena.

"He didn’t give it to me..." Klea murmured, remembering that Liam barely gave her anything. "...I bought it myself."

"I just want you to have something that reminds you of me every time it’s in your hand."

With Jeff’s remark whispered in her ear in his soft, deep voice, Klea gave in and accepted his gift, worried that she might not be able to say no if Jeff invited her out tonight, considering how much affection he was giving her.

Still, even before the thought of Jeff taking her tonight—something that made her more and more excited—Klea had a more immediate concern at the third location of their date.

"Are you really bringing me here for our date?!"
