"Sir Lian, how long are you going to waste time talking with those late-comers? Please begin the shoot."

Everyone turned to look at the man who spoke in that irritated tone.

It was a man in his late twenties, playing the second male lead in the drama. He saw Aren and Lisa, and instead of greeting them—

"Hmph!"

He snorted with an arrogant expression and turned away, returning to wherever he came from.

The director, witnessing this, immediately turned to Aren and Lisa, explaining with an apologetic expression, "Please do not mind him, Mr. Aren. He is just upset since he was the one playing the male lead before you joined the cast. Now he is playing the second lead."

Dallas Huang, the screenwriter, supported the director’s statement with a nod. "Tyler is a hardworking actor and is not usually like this. I hope you can forgive him, Mr. Aren."

They both knew that Aren had close relations with Ember, the chairwoman of Sun Films. If he was offended, he might demand to replace Tyler and cast another actor. If that happened, Tyler would lose out on a good role.

Tyler was their good friend, and both Lian and Dallas had worked with him in past projects. They didn’t want to see their young friend suffer.

However, their worries were unfounded as Aren calmly said, "I can understand. It must be frustrating to not get the role you want."

"Yes, yes. That’s right," Lian Parks said excitedly with a relieved expression, praising Aren. "You are really understanding, Mr. Aren."

In hopes of changing the topic, Dallas Huang, wearing a friendly smile on his face, suggested, "Why don’t you both get ready for the scenes?"

Calling a spot boy over, he turned to Aren and politely said, "He will escort you to the makeup room."

Aren and Lisa followed the spot boy to the makeup room.

Some empty rooms in the campus building had been turned into makeup rooms for actors.

Since many dramas had been shot at this university in the past, there was already everything necessary present.

Usually, most of the high-budget dramas used vanity vans for actors’ makeup and wardrobe changes; however, since the shooting location was a real university, the production didn’t provide vanity vans inside.

Of course, many actors owned private Vanity Vans; however, even they wouldn’t be able to bring Vanities inside the university.

Aren was currently sitting alone in the makeup room, having his makeup and clothes changed already.

Since this would be his debut as the lead of a drama, he decided to invest the fame points he had earned over the past few weeks, especially after the scandal blew up and his image transformed for the better in people’s minds. He wasn’t a hated idol anymore, or at least that’s what he assumed.

He would incessantly get barraged with notifications from the system in the past; thus, he had turned them off, and now, he was unaware of how many fame points he had accumulated.

’Hmm... I’m 23 now.’

Aren rubbed his chin in realization, nodding to himself.

He then noticed the increase in fame and reputation, pleasantly surprised by the massive increase in both of them.

’This scandal is truly a fortuitous event. Not only did it cause Titan Crest Entertainment to suffer, it even helped increase my fame and reputation.’

Aren knew that as one stat rose, it became more difficult to increase it again. Thus, Aren didn’t expect to see such an increase in both his fame and reputation.

This much fame meant that almost everyone in the country knew of him and, on top of that, had a positive impression of him.

As for reputation, Aren knew that it wasn’t fixed like fame.

Many stars would have high star power and fame during the peak of their careers; however, not many could maintain that fame and star power.

He was popular right now; however, it was not due to his acting skills or dramas, but instead due to the scandal.

As soon as people’s interest shifts, this fame and reputation will decrease.

However, he didn’t care.

What he cared about was the enormous amount of fame points he had received.

However, when the number didn’t change, his eyes shone with delight and an excited smile formed on his lips.

"With so many points, how many stats can I increase?" He licked his lips.

"Hehehe, I can’t wait to dump them into the stats and see for myself." He giggled to himself.

He rubbed his hands together, wishing for good luck.

"Let’s invest in the stat that I’ve been neglecting until now."

As his thought flowed, the fame point count began to reduce, leaving only 100 fame points.

This bastard had invested 44 points at once without any remorse.

Suddenly, the stat, which had been the least developed, was now the most developed.

Witnessing this change, Aren nodded to himself in satisfaction.

"Yes. For a romance drama, the male lead should possess charm of this level at least."

He then eyed another stat, investing 30 points in one go.

Feeling an itch to spend more, he chose the next stat and dumped 30 points in it.

This time it was the appearance stat that got enhanced.

Aren’s eyes twitched as he saw that the stat didn’t enter the A-level territory, and so, he invested 10 points again.

Feeling satisfied with himself, he looked at his current balance.

"It’s spent already?" Aren was shocked to find out that the points he had earned in such a long time had already been reduced to 30.

"Let’s save these for emergencies." He murmured to himself before closing the system.

He rose up from his chair, walking to the mirror to see the changes in his body and face.

He knew he couldn’t discern the changes in his acting ability just by looking at the mirror; however, charm and appearance could be checked, right?

However, as soon as he stood before the vertical, full-body mirror, reflecting his full visage and face, his eyes widened in shock!

"W-What is this? How can this be?"
