Elliot Sheridan chuckled. "Why are you acting like a little kitten?"

"..."

Georgia Thorne looked at him reproachfully. It was all because he wouldn’t let her leave.

From Selena Sheridan’s perspective, she really couldn’t see Georgia Thorne hiding in Elliot Sheridan’s arms. His large frame completely concealed her petite figure.

Selena Sheridan only asked once. She didn’t question her uncle’s words and went off to look for Georgia somewhere else.

The entire time, Georgia hid in Elliot’s embrace, not even daring to breathe too loudly.

It was both thrilling and terrifying, almost too much for her heart to bear.

On the day Selena Sheridan was leaving the country, Georgia Thorne went to the airport to see her off.

She didn’t see Elliot Sheridan there, which made Georgia breathe a sigh of relief.

She shared a tearful farewell hug with Selena Sheridan.

Carter Sheridan and Hillary were both there. Ever since catching them in the middle of an argument that night, it always felt awkward seeing them act harmoniously together.

But there was one thing she was sure of: they both loved Selena.

"Georgia, I’m going to find a boyfriend abroad, so you need to hurry up and find one in university, okay?" Selena Sheridan hugged her again, whispering in her ear.

For some reason, Selena suddenly brought up Elliot Sheridan.

She gripped her hand, her expression serious. "Georgia, if anyone in the Thorne Family bullies you, go find my uncle. He might seem cold on the surface, but he’s actually a really good person. You’re so kind, my uncle will definitely help you!"

"Also, don’t let that Amanda Thorne of yours get near my uncle. There’s no way he’d be interested in her!"

"You can’t be so sure. Maybe they’ll actually get together?"

"No way! My uncle was once deeply in love with a woman, but they separated for some reason. After she left, my uncle was devastated for a long, long time!"

Georgia felt a pang of envy for the girl Elliot Sheridan had once loved.

’But this has nothing to do with me. I’ll stick to my role and won’t pry into his affairs at all.’

After Selena Sheridan left the country, Georgia Thorne’s classes officially began.

At first, she would go to Elliot Sheridan’s private apartment once a week. Later, the frequency gradually increased from once a week to three times a week.

Georgia felt like she was practically living at Elliot’s place.

But sometimes, Elliot was very busy and frequently away on business trips for anywhere from a week to a month. Plus, Georgia wouldn’t go over when she had her period.

In the blink of an eye, a year had passed. It was summer break again.

Unless Jared Thorne ordered her to, Georgia Thorne generally wouldn’t return to the Thorne Family home on her own initiative.

This summer break, Georgia lied to the Thorne Family, saying she’d found a summer job far from home that provided a staff dormitory.

Hayley Sullivan couldn’t wait for Georgia to leave and raised no objections.

Georgia really did start working a part-time job to prepare for her future.

Money wasn’t easy to come by; it had to be saved up bit by bit.

The job was at a high-end Western restaurant. The pay was good, but it didn’t provide accommodation.

Georgia shamelessly went to Elliot Sheridan and asked if she could stay in his apartment for the time being.

Elliot agreed, but said the rent had to be paid with her body.

Georgia had no objections. Perhaps she didn’t dislike Elliot as much as she thought.

However, on the very first night Georgia moved in, Elliot packed his things and left for a business trip.

The trip would last for exactly two months.

She spent her summer break working, rising early and returning late, utterly exhausted.

Over the summer, she earned a salary of six thousand yuan, bringing her one step closer to her goal.

With the new semester about to start, the sudden lack of a busy work schedule made Georgia feel a bit restless in her leisure time.

She curled up on the sofa to watch TV but had no idea what was playing.

So, she picked up her art supplies, settled back onto the sofa, and started to sketch idly.

Time passed without her noticing. A sketched portrait emerged on the white paper, and the sight of it made her nose tingle with emotion.

It was Justin Sullivan, smiling gently at her, radiating a clean, pure aura.

Sketching Justin Sullivan had become a habit she couldn’t break.

She carefully placed the finished drawing into a scroll tube.

She glanced at the time. It was still too early to sleep, so she decided to draw another one.

’Who to draw?’

Suddenly, Elliot Sheridan’s eyes came to mind, how they shone so brightly in the dark.

The hand holding the pencil flew across the paper, quickly outlining a pair of sharp, dark masculine eyes.

Night had fallen, but Georgia felt more and more energized as she drew. Only after finishing the entire portrait did she put down her pencil and get ready for bed.

The next morning, Georgia was woken by a feeling of being smothered.

She opened her eyes and saw the man’s slightly weary face, thinking she must be dreaming.

The kiss grew more and more fierce. The man tore off his tie, revealing a sexy throat, his Adam’s apple bobbing up and down.

He straddled her directly, his long fingers slowly unfastening her buttons. "Georgia, long time no see. Did you miss me?"

"I did!"

The moment the words left her lips, a storm of kisses rained down on her.

Elliot Sheridan narrowed his eyes and stubbed out his finished cigarette in the ashtray.

’The drawing isn’t bad. It looks a lot like me.’

’Although, I rarely smile like that.’

’Did she draw this yesterday?’

Looking at the date in the bottom right corner, Elliot Sheridan’s lips curved into a smile, identical to the one in the portrait.

The semester officially started, and Georgia Thorne and Nancy Hughes volunteered to welcome the new students.

Shortly after the semester began, Georgia was worn out by an energetic Elliot for a whole morning. When she got back to school, she slept like a log for the entire afternoon.

By evening, Nancy Hughes was shouting in her ear, "Georgia, get up! Let’s go watch the basketball game!"

Georgia was so sleepy she could barely open her eyes. "I don’t want to. You go by yourself!"

She didn’t understand basketball at all, so it would be a waste of time to go.

"Everyone else comes back from a trip home full of energy! How come you’re the complete opposite? Did you go home and get worked to the bone or something?!" Nancy put her hands on her hips, fiercely determined to drag Georgia out of bed.

’She wasn’t wrong. I was thoroughly squeezed dry by Elliot.’

By the time Nancy dragged Georgia to the basketball court, the game had already started, and a large crowd of girls had gathered around.

The sound of cheering could be heard from far away.

Georgia followed Nancy and squeezed through the crowd, ending up sweaty and at the very front.

"See that guy who just dunked? That’s Zane Lennox, the most handsome guy in our school!" As soon as Nancy finished her introduction, she joined the massive wave of shrieking "AHHHHs."

The noise was about to pierce Georgia’s eardrums. She wasn’t interested in the guy who dunked.

"Nancy, I just remembered I have something to do, so I’m heading back first!" She couldn’t stand the raucous cheering.

Just as she was about to turn and leave, a push from someone behind her sent her stumbling onto the basketball court.

’Hearing all the girls chanting "Zane! Zane!" in unison... Jeez, this guy must be really popular.’

"Georgia, ball behind you! Move!"

At the critical moment, Nancy snapped out of her starstruck daze, her eyes wide as she watched the basketball flying toward Georgia.

Georgia grunted in acknowledgment and turned around, only to see a ball speeding right at her.

By the time her brain registered the thought to dodge, the basketball had already hit her squarely in the head.

It knocked her straight to the ground. The basketball rolled to one side.

With the accident, the game was paused.

Zane Lennox, the one who threw the ball, strode over to Georgia. "Are you okay?"

Georgia was truly dizzy, and her vision was blurry. For a moment, Zane Lennox’s face was just a blur.

She had to blink hard a few times to finally see clearly.

Just then, Zane bent down and swept her up into his arms. "Did you do that on purpose?"

Georgia’s mind was a dizzy mess. Being carried all the way to the infirmary by Zane only made her feel dizzier.

「Infirmary」

The school doctor was examining Georgia. They clearly recognized her. "Oh, it’s you, little one!"

"Uh... Ma’am, you know me?"
