Serene’s POV

"Are you sure she won’t mind? I don’t want to be a burden." I replied feeling dejected.

"She won’t, Serene it’s important that you have someone strong with you at night. You know how difficult the situation becomes, and it won’t be appropriate for me or any other boys to stay with you. She is our best choice." Kilamin explained and I knew he was right.

"I understand, do I have to move all my luggage as well and settle down with her or it will be just for the nights?"

"You can discuss that with her and do what feels comfortable or is better suited," Kilamin explained then he turned to Zeph. "Make sure to leave Serene in Shumal Sensei’s care once you people are free.

"I will do that," Zeph replied with utmost seriousness.

"Right then, good night Serene, I will see you in the morning." Kilamin walked off leaving us alone. He had started giving me the space I needed and I couldn’t be more grateful to him.

"You want to go for a walk or retire for the day?" Zeph took my hand in his and asked turning to face me, he held a beautiful smile.

"Let’s go for a walk," I wanted to spend as much time as possible with him.

We went outside in the garden and sat down on the bench. It was extremely cold and even though I was wearing Zeph’s coat, I couldn’t help but shiver. Zeph wrapped his arm around me, trying to keep me warm.

"We can go back in if you want." He could feel my body shivering, I wasn’t dressed for the outside.

"No, I would like to stay for some time." I leaned on his shoulder. "Thank you, Zeph for making my day so special." I placed a kiss on his cheek, making him smile.

"You deserve all the happiness, Serene. I am glad this day went as it did." Our hands were intertwined as we sat there looking at each other, I could just stare at his face all day without getting bored.

The night was peaceful and tranquil, clouds covered the sky and cold gusty wind blew. Then out of nowhere, it happened, a sensation a tiny sensation of something trying to prick my brain. But before I knew what was happening it was gone.

What was that sensation again? I didn’t like it and I certainly didn’t want to find out. I wanted to go back in now.

"Zeph, let’s go in," my voice came out a bit more panicked than I had imagined. He sensed that.

"What happened? You alright?" He asked, observing me.

"Yes, I want to go in." I got up and he got up with me.

"Sure, I will drop you near Shumal Sensei’s room." He didn’t let go of my hand as we headed in. He noticed I had become quiet.

"Serene, did something happen? Talk to me." And I confided in him what I had felt before in the Fae Realm and a slight bit of the same sensation I felt today as if something was trying to invade my mind.

"Do as Kilamin has taught you." He said in a gruff voice and I knew he was more concerned than he was letting me know.

"I will if the feeling will persist," I assured him. We reached the Faculty Dorm and every faculty member had their name engraved on the door. We reached the one that said: ’Shumal Arta’ and knocked.

The door instantly opened revealing an ever-smiling Shumal Sensei. "Sereneee, you are here. Good good, come in. We were just talking about you." She ushered both of us in and closed the door behind her. Her room was spacious and was mostly decorated red. There were two beds, sofa cum chairs, study tables, and a cupboard. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Come come, sit down." She pointed to the chairs. Zeph and I settled down and looked at each other awkwardly.

Sensei sat down in front of us and smiled before saying: "Don’t worry, I know it’s a bit awkward. But Serene I am sure we will make it work. Why don’t you settle in with me for a few weeks? Bring your things as well because it will be difficult for you to run around two rooms."

"Yes, Sensei. Can I have tonight to think about it?" I asked sheepishly.

"Sure sure, take your time. But you know I am a chill person, imagine if Artins had decided you needed to stay with Mariela. She will bore you to death with her stares." She laughed so loudly at that, Zeph and I had to suppress our laughter by biting our lips.

"Anyways, I am kidding. So settle down, if you need a change of clothes. I have all types of them in the cupboard, feel free to use them. Don’t be shy, you know I don"t like shyness." She tilted her head at us.

"I know very well Sensei, I remember the time when I first met you," Zeph replied with a sarcastic smile.

"Ahhh, yes Zeph. You impressed me from the first day and I have never felt disappointed in you. You are my favourite." I knew Zeph felt so embarrassed right now, his ears had turned red. I couldn’t help but giggle.

"Anyways, I was waiting for you to turn up. Zeph you have somewhere else to be right now?" Zeph shook his head.

"Good, then stay with Serene. Teachers have a meeting and a small party afterward with Artins. I will be back in a few hours. Then you can leave. Understood." She informed us while getting up and picking up her clutch from the table. She was clad in an exquisite burgundy gown. She waved before shutting the door behind her, leaving us both awkward and embarrassed.

It was hot inside, so I stood up and took off Zeph’s coat, and draped it around the back of the chair. "So that was not awkward at all," I said looking at Zeph who was looking more ill at ease than me.

"Yeah," His eyes were glued on me. The air in the room suddenly became tense and I began to feel extremely hot. His gaze was burning me. He slowly stood up and approached me.

I couldn’t look away as he held my gaze, his hands cupped my face, and his sumptuous lips locked themselves with mine. I felt a pool of warmth gathering in my gut as his hands slid down to my bare back and he pulled me even close.

I slid my arms around his neck, returning his kiss with my lips parted giving his tongue excess to scour and meet mine. His touches on my skin were burning me with a passion I didn’t know existed. I wanted so much more in that instant.

He descended his lips to my neck and a sinful moan escaped me as he kissed my sweet sweet spot. My mind was shutting down and all I wanted to feel was his touch. I intertwined my hands in his hair while he continued to explore my neck, making me melt with pleasure.

Without even realizing I began to fumble with his shirt buttons. I wanted it off but he stopped me by placing his hand on mine.

"We can’t go any further Serene. Look where we are, anyone can come. If we continue we won’t be able to stop and I don’t want it like this." His eyes held so many emotions, he was as affected by me as I was by him. I understood what he was saying but my heart was not ready to accept it. I pouted.

"Doesn’t mean we can’t kiss." He gave me a lopsided smile and picking me up he carried me toward the bed. Gently placing me down on the soft velvety bedspread he climbed over me and began to kiss me starting from my lips. His hand slid inside my dress and he touched my left thigh.

I moaned arching my back while her

continued to kiss me. "I want to kiss you too." I finally spoke, my breathing was erratic and I just couldn’t get enough of him.

He smiled at my words, his lips curling up and there was a hint of passion in his coal-black eyes. His hair was falling in front of them as he bore them into mine and said: "Who stopped you?

I lifted myself and he wrapped his arms around my waist, I began to trail kisses on his graceful neck.

His musky scent was messing with my mind.

He squeezed my waist as I caressed his neck, his eyes held so much affection. He was enjoying the touch of my lips.

"You have no idea how beautiful and desiring you look today, Serene." He traced every feature of my face with his index finger. I stopped and looked up at him, clearly lost in his magnetic eyes, they pulled me in.

Our trance was broken by a knock on the door and we quickly sprang up from the bed.
