"This is our new hire?"

That was the first thing that my new boss said the moment that he saw me.

I couldn’t help giving a secret bitter laugh when I heard this, but it wasn’t as if I could actually say anything since I was here incognito.

It wasn’t hard to figure out why he was acting this way towards me.

After all, his expression already made it very clear that he felt hostility towards me. Especially since the young women of this department were all looking at me with different expressions.

This boss of mine wasn’t that old, but he wasn’t that young either.

The one thing that stood out the most about him was the bright light that came from his head.

Even though he wasn’t that old, it seemed like time hadn’t been forgiving to his follicles as there was a large patch that was missing from the top of his head.

He did what he could with the remaining bit of hair to hide it, but it really was hard to properly hide it when there wasn’t much left to hide it with. So in the end, it actually made it more prominent since the remaining bit of hair was actually highlighting this bald patch.

As for me, I was using an illusion spell to hide my appearance.

Even though I had wanted to make myself uglier so I wouldn’t stand out, this wasn’t something that my wives were able to tolerate.

So while I did look different, I wasn’t that much uglier than my usual appearance.

In fact, it could even be said that this was a completely different feel because of how much had changed. However, it wasn’t as if it was a bad thing that it was a different feeling.

The one that introduced me was one of the few identities that Sakura maintained, so it wasn’t as if it drew any attention.

It was just that this boss of mine clearly had it out for me.

The funniest thing was that I hadn’t even left the castle for work.

The place that I had been led to was one of the departments in the castle.

This was the department for land development, which was mainly responsible for all of the farmland that we were developing across the kingdom. As a result, this was a place that was completely filled with papers.

It was necessary to track everything that was being done since land development was one of the focus of the prime minister’s plan. Only with proper land development would we be able to feed all of the people in our kingdom without problem.

It wasn’t just about enough harvest, it was about having more than enough that we could create stores if there were any disasters that happened.

This was a lot of work since it required a lot of tracking to do.

Which was why this was the busiest department.

Even while I was being introduced, I could see all of the people that were running around this department with stacks of paper in hand.

It seemed like this brother in law of mine had really sent me to a good place.

Of course, this was just his way of taking a little bit of revenge for being asked to do something like this.

Once the introductions were over, this new boss of mine didn’t hold back at all as he placed a large stack of documents on top of my new desk.

"I’m not expecting much, just sort these out for everyone. I’m sure that even someone like you can figure out something like this."

He didn’t seem like he wanted to waste any time with me with how he saId this.

But it wasn’t as if I minded this.

The only reason that I had come here was to experience all kinds of new things and this was certainly a new experience for me. Though there was a part of this that was also familiar to me.

"I’ve already done something like this in my past life, so it isn’t as if this is hard."

I had worked as a bottom of the stack worker since I was no one special in my past life. It wasn’t something that I was able to keep doing in the end, but I had done that job and knew how to do it.

When I started looking at the documents that made up the stack, I found that this was even easier than I thought.

Though the documents were messy, there was a system to them.

The prime minister was the one that had set up everything related to this and it was impossible for him to be sloppy. The only sloppy parts were the parts that the ones on the scene had filled out.

However, it was easy to read since they all followed the same guideline.

With that, I was able to quickly sort through all of the documents that had been handed to me.

When the boss saw this, there was a strange look that appeared on his face.

Only it didn’t seem like he was planning on giving up on his harassment plan as he brought over more documents for me. He stacked them on my desk as if he was planning to bury me with all of these documents.

However, I was able to clear them faster than he could load them on my desk.

When the shift was over, it seemed like the boss had suffered a large defeat.

In fact, he had to scramble back to his desk in the middle of this since he had fallen behind on his own work in his attempt to harass me.

This certainly was a different experience.

I never had the chance to be an ace employee in my past life, but it seemed like I was getting that chance now.

There was a part of me that couldn’t help feeling a bit excited because of this.
