SSS Awakening: I Can Steal Attributes
Chapter 96: Classes
Verdant trees dimmed along with the orange glow of dusk.
An uneven path lay ahead, but Desther remained to ignore what was in front and continued looking at the screen in front of him.
For Awakened Professionals, reaching level 10 was a milestone that many wanted to achieve.
Reaching level 10 meant an entirely new world. A transition from mere mortals to beings with great power that could potentially destroy cities with a mere wave of their hand.
Although reaching level 10 was just the start, it was still a monumental event that others would celebrate upon reaching.
Upon reaching level 10, an Awakened Professional would be able to select the class they want to pursue and develop into.
Those that prioritized their Strength attribute would be able to select a Class that focuses on the Strength attribute as well.
Generally, a Strength attribute focused Awakened Professional might get a Warrior, Brute, and a Knight for their selection process. Each Class has their own set of skills, advantages and disadvantages. It would be up to that Awakened Professional what they would ultimately choose.
This was the same case for other Awakened Professionals that focus on other attributes as well.
In most cases, each Awakened Professional will only have three sets of Classes they could choose from.
One relates to their highest attribute, one relates to their second highest attribute, and the third usually corresponds to the talent they awakened.
Most of the time, the Class that awakened with the talent was the most suitable to be paired with, but talents were not always strong, and talents were not always what the Awakened Professional wanted. The talents they awakened were quite random after all.
As for those who did not focus on a single attribute and tried to become jacks of all trades, there were a lot of people that tried it out of curiosity.
Ultimately, they found out that the Classes available for such a configuration were actually random. There were times that a Warrior class would present itself in the choices, sometimes that of a mage and so on.
Changing the attribute values would also change the available classes in real time. This was also the reason why Desther was not worried about getting a class he did not like.
After all, if a mage Class presents itself and he doesn’t like it, he would just be able to add some Free Attributes to Strength and the available Class for selection would also change to that of a Warrior, and then vice versa.
With a lot of Free Attributes, Desther was not worried about getting a Class he did not like at all.
Speaking of Class, Desther paused in his tracks as he stared at the list of Classes that was presented to him.
To say that he was not shocked and surprised was an understatement.
For others, getting three options was already a standard.
But why does he have more than five? And not to mention, their name seems to be strange and out of the ordinary as well.
[Divine Warrior]
[Divine Tank]
[Divine Rogue]
[Divine Mage]
[Divine Oracle]
[Space Dominator]
[Raksasha Saint Thief]
[Hell Swordsaint]
[Cataclysm Mage]
[Son Of Heaven]
...
Desther stared at the list of Classes in disbelief; his composure seemed lost due to the unexpected surprise.
He paused in his tracks, causing Noah to turn alert.
"What’s the matter?"
It was only when he heard Noah that he finally came to his senses.
"Nothing. Let’s rest here for a bit."
He did not expect to see such powerful-sounding names in his Tier 1 Class change.
There were actually ten of them for him to choose from. Their name, which was drastically different compared to what others received, was a surprise of their own.
Sitting down, Desther viewed the description of each class, trying to see what they were all about.
Unlike Talents, Classes don’t have any grades or any scale to gauge how powerful they were.
Names were not that important either, since every increase of the Tier would usually change the name of the Class as well.
For example, a Tier 1 Warrior transition to Tier 2, would have their name changed to Tier 2 Paladin, Tier 2 Blood Warrior, and so on, depending on their experiences.
For his Classes’ options to start at the name ’Divine’, Desther could not help but wonder what kind of names they would have in the future.
’Or they like, end-game kind of class?’
This was also the first time he had heard of a class having the Divine prefix.
’Did they change because of my high attributes?’
Clicking on the Divine Warrior, its description finally showed itself in front of him.
[Divine Warrior:
A soldier baptized in the blood of gods. Possess absolute supremacy in battle and can overwhelm armies with celestial might and indestructible bodies. Presence that could crush morale, each of their strikes carries the strike of heavenly might.
Effect: For every level up, Strength +150, Vitality +60, Agility +40, Intelligence +25, Wisdom +25. Warrior-related skills’ effects are strengthened significantly. Can easily learn and increase proficiency of warrior-related skills.
Skills: Heavenly Slash, Divine Warcry, Solar Blade, Eternal Honor, Blood Stance]
Not to mention the name, even the description felt like it came from a fantasy novel.
Glancing down, the effect was quite substantial as well. For every level up, this Divine Warrior class would actually provide its owner a direct increase of 300 Attributes.
If this were paired with a warrior talent that usually amplifies the Strength or Vitality attribute with a percentage, the amount of increase would become even greater.
One must note that for a regular Tier 1 Warrior or of any class, each level increase would only usually provide a total of 30 attributes.
This only meant that the Divine Warrior class was at least ten times more powerful than the ordinary Warrior class.
Of course, this was only a standard estimate. For Classes, the defining factor of whether they were strong or not was usually not the bonus attributes they provided but how powerful their skill set was.
Although he could not see the descriptions of the skills of the Divine Warrior Class, from their name alone, Desther did not think that they would be shabby.
Desther felt like the Divine Warrior was actually a good class to develop into.
However, since there were other options available, how could he not view them all?
