Chapter 111: [111] : Nanite Swarm, The Server Tear

Ryker didn’t like Declan’s smile.

The Level 65 Cyber-Ninja was used to people begging. He was used to players freezing in panic when they saw his high-tier gear and his squad of heavily armed elites.

But the guy in the black coat just looked incredibly bored.

"You talk too much for a dead man," Ryker snarled.

He didn’t charge forward with his katanas. He was an elite player. He wasn’t going to fight a hundred scary-looking shadow clones in melee combat. He was going to wipe the entire room clean.

Ryker tapped a hidden button on his silver wrist gauntlet.

"Eat this," Ryker yelled.

He activated his ultimate skill!

A massive glowing red system prompt flashed over his head and was visible to everyone in the lobby.

[Skill Activated: Nanite Swarm Disintegration]

[Type: Cybernetic Ultimate Area of Effect]

[Description: Releases a cloud of ten million microscopic machines. Nanites aggressively consume organic matter, armor, and digital code. Inflicts continuous true damage until the target is entirely deleted.]

Ryker’s chest plate hissed open.

A thick violent cloud of silver dust erupted from his armor. It wasn’t smoke. It was millions of microscopic robotic bugs!

The nanite swarm buzzed with a horrific high-pitched mechanical whine. It sounded like a massive swarm of angry hornets. The cloud rapidly expanded and covered the entire ceiling of the lobby.

Wherever the silver dust touched, destruction followed. The neon light fixtures were instantly eaten away. The polished chrome pillars rusted and dissolved into nothingness in seconds.

The swarm surged forward like a tidal wave and aimed directly for Declan and his clones.

"You can’t cut a billion tiny robots!" Ryker laughed loudly while stepping back toward the elevator. "Your physical stats don’t mean anything against microscopic machines! Watch your health bar melt, glitch!"

The Neon Syndicate guards cheered. They kept their plasma rifles aimed just in case. They knew the ultimate skill was an instant-kill mechanic against melee builds.

Declan didn’t run. He didn’t try to use Void Blink to escape.

He just stood there and watched the massive wave of silver nanites rushing at his face.

"Microscopic machines," Declan muttered. He shook his head. "You guys really rely too much on the flavor text."

He didn’t cast a magic shield. He didn’t throw a fireball.

Declan simply reached his right hand out into the empty air.

The space around his fingers distorted violently. A heavy dark matter shaft materialized perfectly into his grip. The +40 Eclipse Severance halberd dropped into his hand with a heavy thud.

The razor-thin blade was made entirely of the night sky and it hummed with a chaotic static energy. The tiny black hole spinning in the center of the axe head pulsed hungrily.

The nanite swarm was only five feet away. The mechanical buzzing was deafening.

Declan didn’t wind up for a massive dramatic attack. He casually gripped the halberd with one hand and swiped it horizontally through the air in front of him.

He didn’t swing at the nanites. He swung at the empty space.

The Spacetime Laceration trait activated effortlessly.

There was no clashing of metal. There was no fiery explosion.

There was just the distinct sickeningly wet sound of thick canvas tearing perfectly in half!

The dark blade ignored the concept of the microscopic robots entirely. It didn’t calculate their defense. It didn’t care about their numbers. It literally sliced right through the server’s coordinate plane!

A massive jagged black tear ripped through the air in the middle of the lobby.

The game code physically parted.

The wave of silver nanites hit the spatial tear and simply ceased to exist! They didn’t fall to the floor. They didn’t explode. The space they were occupying was violently severed from the game’s reality.

Millions of high-tech microscopic machines were instantly deleted into nothingness.

The lobby went dead silent.

The horrible buzzing stopped. The silver cloud was completely gone.

Only a faint glowing line of green binary code floated in the air where Declan had swung his blade. It was slowly stitching the fabric of the room back together.

Declan rested the heavy halberd on his shoulder. He looked at the Cyber-Ninja.

"I don’t need to cut the robots," Declan said smoothly. "I just cut the room."

Ryker froze. His jaw practically unhinged behind his metallic visor.

The elite guards stopped cheering. They stared at the empty air in absolute unfiltered horror.

Their commander had just used his ultimate unblockable area of effect skill. And the guy in the black coat had just deleted it by swinging a stick at the air!

The system threw up a massive error code right over Ryker’s head.

[CRITICAL ERROR: Skill Data Not Found.]

[Coordinate Plane Severed.]

"What..." Ryker stammered as he took a terrified step backward. His voice was completely stripped of its synthetic arrogance. "What kind of weapon is that? That’s not in the physics engine!"

"Your engine is broken," Declan replied coldly.

He didn’t want to talk anymore. He had a point to make.

Declan looked at his one hundred immortal shadow clones. Their purple eyes were glowing brightly in the dim lobby.

"Clear the room," Declan ordered.

The Shadow Legion moved.

It was an absolute massacre.

With 100 percent of Declan’s base stats, the clones possessed an Agility rating of 90. They didn’t run. They blurred.

One hundred pitch-black figures shot across the polished floor instantly.

"Fire! Shoot them!" Ryker screamed in pure panic.

The Neon Syndicate guards pulled their triggers. Dozens of hot pink plasma bolts and armor-piercing bullets tore through the lobby.

The projectiles hit the charging shadow clones perfectly in the chest.

And they phased right through them!

The clones were made of dark matter. They didn’t have physical hit boxes. They didn’t have health bars. The bullets just passed through their bodies and shattered the glass windows behind them.

"They’re immune to damage!" a guard shrieked as he dropped his rifle and tried to run.

He didn’t make it two steps.

A shadow clone materialized right in front of him and swung its massive shadowy halberd.

The Spacetime Laceration trait triggered again. The dark blade severed the guard’s spatial coordinates. The elite player was instantly cut in half. His avatar dissolved into a massive shower of blue pixels before his body even hit the floor. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Swish! Crunch!

The lobby turned into an industrial meat grinder.

Three clones surrounded a group of guards trying to hide behind a desk. The clones brought their halberds down simultaneously. The space warped and the guards were deleted into digital dust.

Another clone used Void Blink and teleported directly onto the ceiling. It dropped down like a nightmare and crushed two players into pixelated paste with the blunt side of its weapon.

Declan just stood near the entrance holding his halberd and watching the show. He didn’t lift a finger. The system chimes hammered in his head happily.

↳ [Multiple Enemies Defeated! Origin Points +1,200]

↳ [Multiple Enemies Defeated! Origin Points +850]

In exactly six seconds, all fifty elite guards were completely wiped out. The lobby was a mess of dissolving blue pixels and dropped high-tier weapons.

Only Ryker was left.

The Level 65 Cyber-Ninja was backed against the closed elevator doors. His electric katanas were shaking violently in his hands. He was surrounded by a wall of terrifying shadow clones.

Declan slowly walked across the room. His boots crunched on the dropped loot.

He stopped right in front of the shaking commander.

"I told you," Declan smiled coldly. "I brought a delete button."
