SSS Ranked Shadow Monarch: Summoning Infinite Shadows
Chapter 324: Celestial Warrior of Jotnar
The shadow wolf moved fast and got to the edge. The town was in a large valley. It was massive and built of ancient materials like carved stones and wood. It looked more like a military base than anything else. At the center was a massive withering tree, probably the core of their home.
There were at least over five thousand elves that lived in this place, a combination of normal Sri elves and the ones that fought.
After scouting everything, the wolf vanished. Aren now had all the information that he needed about the place, so he could now think of what to do.
"There is an entire town down there," Aren said.
"So what do we do now?" Aiden asked.
"We force our way to the tree at the center of the town, and the only way to do that now is to create a diversion first," Aren stated.
"You want one of us to distract them?" Athena asked.
"No, I have another means. I’ll summon one of my shadows. I can keep it here for only a bit, but it should be able to pull the attention of their town," Aren said. He had in mind to summon his greatest summon yet.
’Thinking of summons, I have not tried to find out exactly what those summons I used that day against the patriarchs were. They belong to the one before, but I need more details about them.’
With that plan in mind, they headed to the edge. They looked over at the town below.
"That’s a lot of dark elves," Aiden said.
"I did not know they existed in such large numbers," Lucy said. She gritted her teeth. "An entire race dedicated to the abyss," she said, her anger seeping out slightly.
"The moment the summon arrives, you all move fast, as fast as possible," Aren said.
He got on his feet, and a massive shadow spread on the ground behind him, and from it came a humanoid shadow as massive as a mountain. He was a fully armored warrior with the wings of an angel and a glowing red halo behind his head. In his hands was a massive sword.
The ground trembled at the presence of this shadow. The skies turned black. Its very presence demanded attention.
Aren coughed blood the moment the shadow was fully formed. That was how much pressure it placed on him, but the others could not see the blood. He did his best to swallow most of it back while a little dripped down the side of his mouth under the mask.
"This is the Celestial Warrior of Jotnar," Aren said. He looked up as his eyes glowed. "He is my strongest shadow, and he will be the distraction we need," Aren said.
They all looked at the shadow in shock and fear.
"What the hell is this?" Aiden said. He could feel the immense depth of power that was inside the shadow. It made him want to run. He had to hold himself back from running.
"Alright, let’s begin," Aren said.
The shadow raised its hand into the air, and the sword glowed a blood-red color. Then a blast shot into the sky, ripping the clouds apart. The elves in the town all turned to see what was happening. They saw the massive shadow and the blast into the sky. Not long after, from the sky above the town, pillars of red energy began falling from the sky.
KABOOM!
The blasts slammed into the town. Houses and buildings were ripped to shreds in an instant, and elves were obliterated. They would not die though, but such obliteration would take days to recover from.
After the first blast, the entire town knew that something had come to attack them. They could all see the enemy on the top of the mountain. The question was what it was and why it was against them.
The elves were not the only ones stunned. All of Aren’s group were stunned by the immense power shown off, but there was no time to be shocked. They had to move.
Aren leaped off the cliff edge, and the rest followed. They landed in the valley and moved fast towards the town while the elves were rushing to try and attack the shadow on the mountain.
"Flo, ensure they can’t see us," Aren said. Flo appeared and very quickly used illusions to make them invisible. They moved fast and made it into the town.
More blasts ripped through the air and slammed into the town. The destruction that they caused was massive. More and more kept coming.
Each one that slammed down caused Aren to cough up blood. He gritted his teeth and kept running. The dark elves ran all around in a panic.
The elves gathered themselves and rushed out. The strongest of them led the way, dark elves much stronger than the ones Aren had taken out before. They made it to the cliff fast. The shadow saw them approaching and then brought his sword down. He made one slash, and a massive red arc cut through the air.
The elves saw the attack coming. Many fled, and some were not fast enough as the massive arc obliterated them in seconds. The shadow followed up by stabbing his sword into the ground, and a massive blast of red energy ripped through the air, turning many of the elves into dust in an instant.
The elves that were alive watched in fear. There was no way that they could stand against this being at all. The only ones that could probably do something were the elder elves. If they did not come, this new enemy would wipe them away. Even if they didn’t die, they still felt the immense pain of death, and then they awoke with the memory of that pain. Many of them did not want such a gruesome thing.
While they were stuck on what to do, Aren made it to the tree that was at the center. It was far bigger up close, and it oozed demonic energy.
