The most renowned world within the four regions was Skyward. Many in the outer regions were familiar with it. That was the legacy of a ninth rank exalted emperor!

Some of the more veteran exalted emperors in the chaos had even met the Skyward master before. This was a peerless man who traveled throughout the chaos universe. The new ninth rank in the outer regions was said to have encountered the Skyward master when he was out on one of his travels...

However, it was nigh impossible to verify that claim. No one would ask the ninth rank if he’d really met the Skyward master before.

Just as various exalted emperors prepared to venture into Thunder Region, more changes developed. Endless thunder and lightning suddenly erupted and thunder pillars on the perimeter flared with incredible strength.

It caused the eighth ranks to jerk and pause with surprise.

On the other side of Thunder Region.

An eighth rank stood in the void, a foreboding look in his eyes. He was the other Gemini eighth rank, the one that’d just escaped from the four regions.

Gemini major world was well known in the outer regions. It possessed two eighth ranks—while not peak eighth rank, a major world that could give birth to two eighth ranks was very rare all the same. The two eighth ranks were also twins, which was unheard of!

But at the moment, the eighth rank was in a foul mood. His twin brother was dead! He’d died in the four regions. They’d also lost two seventh ranks in the operation.

He and his brother had entered the four regions together because their eyes were set on Skyward. They’d wanted to ascend to ninth rank. If they couldn’t manage that, then peak eighth rank was the bare minimum. Two peak eighth ranks would be sufficient to go head-to-head with the ninth rank currently rampaging through the outer regions.

That ninth rank wanted to unify the outer regions and had even killed an eighth rank a few days ago, instilling a sense of threat in many people. Although the site of those actions was very far from present location, since the four regions were a remote locale, one needed to be prepared.

Who would’ve thought that he’d be the only one to leave the four regions?!

New Martial!

The eighth rank burned with fury. His brother’s death likely had much to do with New Martial. And with Thunder Region suddenly erupting today... what did those assholes in the four regions want to do??

Clearly, the current activity in the region might have something to do with the fellow that’d summoned more than one hundred seventh rank chaos tribulations in the battlefield—the Silver Moon king that was part of the New Martial faction.

Did the change with Thunder Region today have something to do with him as well?

A seventh rank appeared near him as the eighth rank thought rapidly, it was a seventh rank. The latter approached with a warm smile. “May I ask if it is Dao Master Sky Yang or Dao Master Earth Yang whom I address?”

Gemini’s dao universe possessed dual yangs. It wasn’t a dao universe of extreme yang; the yangs indicated that it had two masters. One in charge of the sky, one in charge of the earth. And so, they were the Earth and Sky Yangs of Gemini.

“Earth Yang!” snapped the eighth rank. He seemed to guess who the other was.

“Greetings to Dao Master Earth Yang!” the seventh rank introduced himself with a chuckle. “My liege places great importance on the two dao masters. Long has he wished to discuss the great dao with you, but trivial matters have preoccupied his time...”

“I appreciate the Exalted Chaos Sky Emperor’s good intentions!” Earth Yang responded aloofly. “But us two brothers have long dwelled in the hinterlands and have grown used to it. We have no desire to head west!”

Chaos Sky!

That was the new ninth rank in the outer regions. He’d rampaged from the edges of the west and already swept through numerous worlds. At the same time, it was also because he was a ninth rank that many worlds voluntarily swore fealty.

He was building a very strong faction!

His conquest did not commence at a fast pace. Rather, he expanded and consolidated his territory step by step. He first took in a dao universe, then slowly integrated it into his own system. What was a few thousand years compared to the grand enterprise of conquering the chaos? It was best to be slow and steady!

Otherwise, they would be easily toppled from the rear if they ignored what might happen behind them. The newly ascended ninth rank was using this time to consolidate his cultivation.

It was a good plan.

In the meantime, he sent his people to this locale on the edge of the outer regions, plainly also to keep an eye on the four regions.

The Chaos Sky exalted emperor, Sky Dust, was not irritated by the refusal. He smiled indifferently. “That’s fine, Chaos Sky has another favor to ask. Very few high ranks have made it through Thunder Region into the four regions. We hear that Senior Earth Yang did so a few days ago. Could you share what information you have with us? Of course, the dao master is free to raise any request you have!”

“Are you here to ask about the battle between the high ranks a few days ago?” Earth Yang leered.

“That... would be one of our questions,” Sky Dust did not deny it. “And it’s said that Skyward has revitalized? Does the dao master know the truth of the matter?

“It is also claimed that this massive battle was due to the revitalization of Skyward that which, we have another burning question to ask. Do the four regions have a lot of powerhouses? How many eighth and seventh ranks do they have?”

“Eighth ranks?” smiled Earth Yang. “Not that many. The four regions aren’t that big, so there’s just a handful of eighth ranks. Some of them might have even died in the fighting. The strongest now should be the Dragon master of Dragon Region, Light of Skyward Region, Human King of Red Moon Region, and the newly ascended eighth rank Fog Mountain. Had he lied?

“The four regions are mediocre on a whole. They have approximately one hundred seventh ranks, but a lot of them are dead. They probably don’t have one hundred left at this point. That’s all the four regions can field.

“If the Chaos Sky dao master is so inclined, he can head inside for a look. The arrival of a ninth rank will surely eliminate all four region powerhouses within a split second!”

Sky Dust smiled and didn’t say anything. He was suddenly more curious about another question—where was the Exalted Sky Yang Emperor?

He had some information from other sources, but couldn’t be certain. Since Gemini had two eighth ranks, the outside world might not sense anything if one of them died. What he’d heard was that... Sky Yang might have been killed in action.

The two Gemini exalted emperors were not ignoble unknowns, even in the outer regions. Both of them had gone to Skyward together and apparently allied with a local tyrant. How could one of them still die?

“Dao Master Earth Yang, there is an upheaval taking place in Thunder Region.” Sky Dust looked away, as opposed to inquiring directly. “Do you know why that is?”

“Perhaps the Dragon master is hunting for the Silver Moon king?” laughed Earth Yang. “Silver Moon King Li Hao ambushed Dragon Region a while back and killed quite a few exalted emperors. He ignited chaos tribulations and eradicated a group of powerhouses.

“Since the Dragon master has exited the Skyward dao universe, he is sure to set a target on the Silver Moon king. The two might be fighting in Thunder Region, so this is a good opportunity. If we enter now, we might catch them off guard and eliminate the biggest threats from the four regions...”

“The Silver Moon king?”

“Yes, the king of a New Martial vassal world. He’s not all that strong, but he can summon chaos tribulations. That is exceedingly troublesome. It’s also an advantage negated when we’re in the Thunder Region.” Earth Yang laughed after saying all of this and vanished on the spot.

Sky Dust silently watched the man leave and murmured, “Did Sky Yang really die there?”

If that was the case, then the Gemini brothers were down one person, which greatly reduced the threat from Gemini dao universe.

Otherwise, with both brothers in residence and the natural advantage they held because of that, even the Chaos Sky master would have to think twice about launching an offensive against the eastern region.

Gemini was very far away from their territory, but it was best to be prepared.

Many were watching and waiting, with some bolder ones or those with other motives in mind taking a risk to brave Thunder Region.

The four regions.

Nearby powerhouses sensed the disturbance in Thunder Region. The Dragon master was one of them. He looked into the distance, seeing lightning crash with a fury.

Thunder Region was the natural barrier around the four regions. It was a cage that enclosed it, but also protected it. External exalted emperors could not enter it with their worlds, no matter how strong they were.

This meant that even if an external ninth rank entered the four regions, the Dragon master wouldn’t be all that afraid. He could absolutely meet the other in battle when he was in residence at Dragon major world.

Thunder World was the only world that could gallivant through the region. Hence, conquering the world was very important to him. Both offense and defense would be readily available with it in hand. He plotted toward this goal for a full three hundred thousand years!

The chance had been at hand, but all was lost in the end!

“Li Hao... the Thunder master...”

Were these two doing something in Thunder Region again? Igniting another tribulation storm?

He’d once visited the outer regions and crossed Thunder Region to do so. Not that many were aware of this deed. He’d had some dealings with those in the outer region, so he wasn’t completely isolated from them.

He knew that the region wouldn’t normally be this violent. Why was it this way today? Was someone disturbing the pillars?

The thunder pillars...

Those were the foundation of Thunder Region. They might be the dao net left behind by a premier existence. They were very strong and likely an important existence within the dao net system. He’d once wished to comprehend them, but unfortunately suffered a chaos tribulation whenever he drew near them.

It was too hard to both fend off a tribulation and to comprehend dao at the same time. He was not a thunder-attributed exalted emperor, after all.

Thunder Region seemed to appear about a million years ago, when the Skyward master disappeared...

The Dragon master looked into the distance again. He wasn’t inclined to set foot into the region and conduct an investigation. That was meaningless.
