Chapter 885 - Spatial Tears
After some last-minute preparations, the group met on a random Planet.
Kyle and Fierce Breaker had already used the last couple of years to conjure weapons for all of their friends. Although calling them friends was no longer completely accurate. It was more fitting to call them a team.
Kyle and Fierce Breaker were the only ones with Metal Affinities, which meant they were also the only ones who could create fitting weapons. The Primary World didn't allow anyone to bring things they couldn't make themselves, which was why Kyle and Fierce Breaker needed to keep the weapons for now. As soon as they arrived, they would hand them to the others.
"Is everyone prepared?" a deep voice said.
The team looked around but couldn't find the owner of the voice. Most likely, this was a powerful member of the Cult or of the secretive Organization.
"Everyone's ready," Star Genesis said.
Naturally, everyone had already gotten rid of basically all of their belongings. The only things they still had were their clothing, which they could easily conjure themselves.
Star Genesis wore a black dress. Swamp Dragon wore some white robes. Sebastian wore a black shirt and pants. Fierce Breaker wore a form-fitting set of armor. Manny wore rough leather armor, and Kyle wore a simple set of dark blue armor.
Naturally, none of these pieces of clothing could offer any sort of protection, even if they sometimes looked like they would. Wearing a usable set of armor would slow the person down quite a bit due to its weight.
A moment later, their surroundings warped.
Kyle felt like he was rapidly shifting through different realities. A feeling of vertigo and nausea assaulted him for a moment, but this was nothing compared to his Sin Flames.
After a couple of seconds, the world around them materialized again, and as Kyle looked forward, he saw an endless silver wall.
Even with their powerful senses, it was still difficult to sense the slight curvature of this silver wall.
This was their target, the unknown Primary World. Naturally, the world was a sphere, and it was absolutely massive.
The Tertiary World Kyle had gone to was only a couple of thousand kilometers across. It had felt kind of small. However, this Primary World was anything but small.
According to the data, the world had a diameter of about ten trillion kilometers, which translated to roughly one lightyear.
If Kyle used his top speed and teleported from one place to another continuously, he would need over six years to get from one end to another.
As Kyle looked at the humongous wall, he took a deep breath. "I have no idea how it looks inside. It could be one Planet. It could be several Planet Sectors. It could also be flat, with the top half of the sphere containing air and the bottom containing ground."
After looking at the silver wall for a bit, Kyle looked at the others. "Well, in case I immediately get violently murdered, it was nice working with all of you."
"I call dibs on all of your materials," Sebastian answered.
"Don't be so dour," Manny commented. "Nothing's gonna happen... I hope."
"We're ready to depart," Swamp Dragon said to whoever was going to send them there.
"Don't speak for me," Sebastian said with annoyance. "I still need two seconds to get ready... okay, I'm ready."
Swamp Dragon didn't engage with Sebastian.
"We're ready," Star Genesis said after a bit.
According to the team's plan, Star Genesis would make most of the calls. Naturally, the team needed some kind of leader, and everyone had agreed that Star Genesis was the best option.
Swamp Dragon was too extreme, and several people had issues with him. Manny's demeanor and his mysterious allegiance didn't seem trustworthy or reliable. Fierce Breaker was more of a silent fighter who was primarily interested in his own power. Sebastian was too chaotic. Kyle was too untrustworthy.
Star Genesis was the only person who could somewhat get along with everyone else while also being trustworthy.
"Have you all come up with a story for your ascension?" the mysterious voice asked.
Everyone nodded.
While they didn't know anything about the unknown Primary World, they knew a lot about its attached Secondary Worlds. There were some Secondary Worlds connected to this Primary World, that had Overseers from different Peak Organizations. These worlds were not unknown.
They would be sent to an Ascension Pool that came from a Secondary World with an abundance of Energy. This Secondary World had enough Energy to support the ascension of an entire group. Naturally, everyone had already come up with a believable story.
"Good. I wish you good luck," the mysterious voice spoke.
The next moment, the world around Kyle warped again as he felt a terrifying wave of Energy. The wave of Energy was so incomprehensibly dense and overwhelming.
'I've never felt this much Energy in my life,' Kyle thought. 'It's almost like I can cut the Energy with a knife.'
The fundamental forces around them broke into pieces.
CRK!
Literal pieces! Kyle saw the space around him tearing and distorting as reality itself broke. This was the first time he saw genuine spatial tears.
For a Cosmos, keeping reality stable required a substantial investment of dense Energy. The more stable it had to be, the more Energy the Cosmos needed to invest. The Main Dimension could resist the all-out attack of a new Immortal without any issues, and that was all the stability it needed since more powerful Seekers were in the Immortal Dimension.
However, if a Lord unleashed an all-out attack in the Main Dimension, the fabric of reality wouldn't be able to keep up. Momentary cracks in reality would appear. These cracks broke all concepts of Space, Time, and Gravity. If any kind of Energy entered these cracks, it would turn into Space, Time, and Gravity Energy, which would automatically fix the spatial tear.
Because of that, spatial tears had a powerful suction force, but only for the short moment in which they existed. If a Seeker were pulled into the spatial tear, they would also turn into Energy. This made spatial tears incredibly dangerous. Only Seekers powerful enough to create spatial tears could resist spatial tears.
Of course, creating spatial tears came with a drop of Karmic Luck. The world didn't want to invest Energy into fixing its reality, which was why it punished anyone who broke its reality.
There were also Fragments related to spatial tears. The Level Five Fragment of Spatial Tearing emulated the effects of a spatial tear, but it couldn't create a true spatial tear.
However, the Major Law of Space could create an actual spatial tear, and as long as the Seeker repaired the tear themselves, they also wouldn't lose any Karmic Luck.
The spatial tears around the group appeared due to the ungodly amount of Energy the mysterious person needed to use to send them to the unknown world. The person needed to break reality in order to get the group into the Primary World. After all, they were not supposed to be in that world.
Reality kept breaking around them, and after Kyle saw several more spatial tears, he noticed something.
'The Space, Time, and Gravity Energies are forming a corridor!' he thought as he saw the Energies moving in a circular pattern.
BANG!
Then, the corridor collapsed, and everything around them returned to normal.
Kyle looked around, but he still found himself in front of the humongous wall.
'Did something go wrong?'
Then, white Energy gathered around him and his team. The Energy was gentle and felt natural.
It was almost like the Primary World was pulling them towards it.
In essence, they were ascending.
The powerful Seeker had emulated the Laws governing the ascension of one of the Secondary Worlds. The Primary World believed that the spot, in which the team stood, was part of the Secondary World.
It saw six First Refinement Sages, and as it was supposed to do, it initiated the ascension process.
The white Energy became denser before receding again.
Yet, when it receded, the team had vanished.
They had entered the unknown Primary World.
