Nux shook his head as he glanced at Shadow.

"The only thing it affects is the ability they are born with."

"But they inherit our abilities..."

Nux explained everything and as he did—

The entire space turned deathly silent.

Shadow now seemed pale, the rest of the women were shocked too, but for them, this was already an emergency. They already had this reaction a hundred years ago and while none of them had recovered till now, their heads were... still clearer than Shadow’s.

Ten Thousand Years, that’s all we have, correct?"

Amaya asked, looking at Nux, ignoring Shadow’s broken state. Nux looked back at her and—

"Considering they all become Divines, yes."

He nodded.

"Considering...?"

Amaya narrowed her eyes and Nux...

He didn’t know how he was supposed to say this, but he knew this wasn’t the time to hesitate—

"Divine is what I predict they would be, that prediction may or may not be true. It is entirely possible for a few to remain Semi Saints if they slack."

"Then we just need to make sure none of them slacks."

Astaria narrowed her eyes and this time, no woman stopped her. This was no longer about the children’s strength, this was about their survival, and for that, even if they had to become much stricter, the women wouldn’t hesitate.

Even women like Evane, Skyla, Allura, Aisha, Eisheth, and Edda, who weren’t particularly concerned about how hard the children worked as long as they kept smiling, suddenly had serious looks on their faces.

Azriel asked and the instant he did, Aeliana’s expression changed.

She spoke, pointing at her father and Azriel nodded, knowing exactly what his daughter was thinking.

[Thirty Thousand years would be more than enough for me to break through and become an Infinity.

It would allow me to not only recover my past strength, but also go beyond.

Those four wouldn’t be an issue Thirty Thousand years later, I guarantee that.]

Azriel announced as his crimson eyes shone confidently.

He didn’t seem to have a shred of doubt despite knowing he would be up against four Infinities and Zylarith.

And the odd part about all this?

None of the women doubted him either.

He was already stronger than the other Four Infinities when he was bound to Yrniel.

But with his restrictions now gone and a Law even stronger than that already ridiculous Law he had?

Azriel, the moment he became an Infinity, would reach a level no being had ever reached. He would be a monster none of the so-called Four Strongest Beings in the Universe would be able to stand against.

But—

"Once you become an Infinity... wouldn’t you be forced to stop us...?"

Felberta questioned with a frown on her face.

The only reason Azriel, despite being chosen by the Universe as its Hero, had been able to ignore their movements was because the Universe knew that he currently wasn’t strong enough to stop the Anomaly—

But that would change once Azriel became an Infinity, because the moment he did, the Universe would know and since the Infinities had already stopped the Anomaly, the Universe’s Child being unable to stop the Anomaly, even at his strongest, would be a clear giveaway.

The Universe would understand that its child and its enemy were together and its reaction would be far, far more violent. It might even self-destruct together with Azriel and that wouldn’t help anyone.

[I have a way out.]

Azriel spoke again, looking at Felberta.

[I will allow one attack.]

He revealed the plan. Felberta narrowed her eyes and Azriel continued—

[In a few thousand years, Yrniel will reappear, the Universe’s Protection over it will disappear and Zylarith will sense that.

The Infinities will use that chance to attack, knowing that I would be forced to reveal myself in order to protect it.

Then, I would have no choice but to go against the Four Infinities, who are now coming for the world I was born in.

That would start the second battle between the Five Infinities. I do not know how long that battle would last.]

Azriel paused for a moment and glanced at Nux—

[But the moment I win.]

He spoke with certainty, as if he never once doubted the outcome of the battle.

[You will move.]

He ordered.

[You will prepare your Anomaly Army or whatever, and you will devour as many worlds as you need. Target the Four Supreme Worlds too, those would give you far more resources than normal worlds. Don’t think about how the Universe would react, or whether it would self-destruct, leave all that to me.

You devour however much you require.

Make sure it’s enough for the children to become Primordials.

Then—

I will move and I will capture and kill the Anomaly once and for all, is that clear?]

The Vampire Progenitor asked and the women looked at him with a newfound shine in their eyes.

They understood the plan, it was perfect.

At that point, the Universe would know well enough that the Four Infinities hadn’t killed the Anomaly, they had just stopped it. It would know that the Anomaly might reappear at any time.

And reappearing right after the War between the Five Infinities, when the Universe was at its weakest, was something that the Universe would never find suspicious.

It was something any enemy with half a brain would do.

Then, once the final attack was launched and they had devoured enough, Azriel would move, ’capture the Anomaly’, which could be any one of Nux’s puppets and kill him.

The Universe would sense it all, Azriel would declare the enemy leader dead and that they no longer had a way to return. The Universe would still be doubtful, but since they already had what they needed, they would no longer need to attack the Universe, convincing the Universe’s Will that its child truly had ended the Anomaly’s terror.

And with that—

Azriel would become the God of the Universe, revive Aeliana’s mothers and...

Everyone would live happily after.

But...

Amaya had a question—

"Would you be able to take it?"

She asked as she glanced at Azriel. The Vampire Progenitor frowned in confusion and Amaya—

"If what Nux said was right, the amount of resources we would need for the children to become Primordials would be huge.

We would need to devour millions of worlds and... ignoring how the Universe would react to an attack that big—

Attacking such a large number of worlds would... automatically increase the chances of us devouring your wives’ souls."

Amaya spoke and the instant she did, silence fell over the space. Aeliana froze completely, trying to understand what that meant but before she could think too much—

"That won’t be an issue."

Shadow, who had been spiralling down into the hole of despair all this while, instantly brought her attention back to the topic when they had a solution and she shook her head.

"Even if we did devour them, we would be able to find them and I can do what Lord Azriel wishes to do.

I can go through all their reincarnations, bring back the memories of their lives as Lord Azriel’s wives and create bodies for them.

The only difference would be that they would then be part of our Universe, which wouldn’t exactly be a problem since they would still be with Lord Azriel regardless."

She explained.

"You can... do that...?"

Aeliana blinked and Shadow grinned again—

"Did you forget?

I am the Goddess of Our Universe."

She spoke, puffing her chest up, her usual cheerfulness had returned now that everything seemed to have a perfect solution.

[Then I will be relying on you.]

Azriel nodded at Shadow, who nodded back with the same grin.

"You can leave it to me."

She patted her chest in pride, then, she looked around, seeing everyone’s smiles but the moment her eyes fell on Felberta, she paused.

Felberta didn’t seem... happy.

No, she was looking at Nux, more specifically at his fists and when Shadow saw them, her smile faded away as well.

Nux’s fists were trembling.

As if... he didn’t agree with the plan they had come up with...
