The tree shuddered, and the silence was filled with the cracking of ice and the howling of the wind.

One of the branches of the giant ice tree, which began to move, slowly starting to lower towards the crowd.

Lucinda’s calm gaze wavered slightly as she caught the strange call and noticed the reaction of the tree. While everyone was trying to figure out what was going on, she already knew that the tree was reacting to her… no, it was reacting to what she was connected to—the Kingdom.

A slight smile appeared on Lucinda’s face, in which some excitement could be felt.

“The kingdom was created by the World Will and given to Idan and Arabel as their personal territory. It still retains a connection with the world that gave birth to it.”

The icy branch of the tree with a few incompletely matured seeds of the law, making a clang, came crashing down in front of Lucinda.

Under the gazes of surprise and jealousy, a ring appeared in front of her.

She blinked in amazement and raised her right hand, discovering that the ring she had received after becoming a Guardian, which served as her key to the Kingdom and was usually invisible to everyone, had disappeared from her finger and appeared in front of her.

In the end, the branch turned completely white and, turning into snow-white snowflakes, was blown away by a light gust of wind. In its place, there was only a lonely rotating ring, which immediately became the center of chaos.

At the foot of the lightning-flashing tree, the ground was strewn with sharp metal spikes that served as lightning conductors. Anyone who dared to approach this furious and jealous tree was faced with a double attack: lightning bolts from above and metal spears from below.

Lina’s eyes, closed in anticipation, opened as soon as she noticed the changes in the lightning sphere around the metal tree.

A gap formed on the surface of the sphere, from which a sparkling metal branch of the tree flew out. On this branch, as if dancing to a sonorous melody, the seeds of the law of Lightning and Metal, which had not yet fully ripened, were swaying.

Lina, ready for battle, roused herself as soon as she felt how her still not completely extinguished connection with the Kingdom reacted to the movements of the Tree.

Her ring disappeared from her hands and hovered in the air in front of her.

A shiny and thin branch of the tree grabbed the ring with a metallic clang, and at the same moment, bright lightning flashed around it, emitting the cry of thousands of birds.

Under the influence of lightning, the branch of the tree began to turn red and heat up, and its unripe seeds of law, having lost their luster and brightness, began to crumble. In the end, the branch turned into black soot and scattered into the wind.
