Supreme Paragon Reborn: Humanity's Rise To Galactic Supremacy
Chapter 461: Going For A Ride
Coming to his senses, Michael blinked slowly.
His pupils narrowed a couple of times, getting accustomed to the light.
"Somehow it’s even brighter here..." He murmured, rubbing his eyes.
Once adjusted, he took in the surroundings.
Instantly, a blinding ray that loomed across the landscape gathered his attention.
Even using Perfect Senses and his improved vision, he wasn’t able to peer far enough to understand what he was looking at.
"It’s quite far... But judging by the location of the beam, it should be positioned roughly at the center of the Light Kingdom."
He paused briefly, realization settling in.
"MSAP-8."
Michael had found it.
The Iskra Titan, which was the destination of the Lords, was finally in sight.
"Funny..." He chuckled in delight.
"For all the trouble coming here caused, this is still just one Titan... Meanwhile, somewhere on the Sun there is a Titan tier portal hidden away with the capability to endlessly spawn many more such beings..."
He shook his head in dejection.
"Hopefully the Emperor has gotten rid of it... But I doubt it. If that were the case, he would have dealt with the rest of the threats residing on the star. It’s better to assume that he, along with the Kings and Queens, is still fighting."
Leaving the strongest warriors of humanity to the side, Michael found himself facing a problem.
Although finally at the core ring of the Titan’s territory, he was utterly alone with no clue where the others were or how to proceed.
To make matters worse, the gravitational pull, despite returning to normal and only pulling him downward, had intensified.
Even after the 10,000 Skill Points Michael had used to boost his prowess, ironically, he felt weaker, with his limbs massively weighed down.
"Well, at least I have the voices in my head to keep me company." He exclaimed, glancing at his soul weapons.
Puff.
Only to be startled by a snort that came from his side.
Turning abruptly, he was taken by surprise when he noticed the marvelous fox. Now even bigger in size, she sat with elegance, observing him in eerie quietness.
The nine lustrous tails that sprouted behind her looked almost like a mesmerizing delusion.
’Did she sneak up on me?’ Michael wondered silently, impressed by the stealth abilities of the magnificent creature.
If he was to make an assumption, because they had been close before being teleported, they were transported together... Though, given the past experiences with the fox, she should have fled from him when given the chance.
"Considering your lack of hostility, am I to believe you don’t wish me harm?" He asked.
The fox’s eyes narrowed slightly before drifting to the light beam in the distance. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
It was almost unnoticeable, but Michael deduced that she was concerned, if not outright scared.
"Do you want to team up?" He proposed.
She gazed at him once more, snorted, and dashed forward.
’I am not an expert in creatures’ intentions like Gloria, but I’m pretty sure this is her way of agreeing.’ Angel transmitted, still in armored form.
Moving faster than thunder, the fox raced forward, only to stop after a second.
Glancing backward, she stared at Michael, who had not moved from his position.
"Subjects of the Titan like you aren’t affected by the gravitational pull... while I am. It’s not possible for me to chase after you." He shrugged.
Evolving to bear nine tails, the fox had grown even faster than before. It was unreasonable to expect Michael to be capable of keeping up with her.
The fox realized the limitations of her companion, glaring from above with contempt.
Devil laughed. ’HAHAHA! I know that look! She is calling you pathetic!’
Michael’s eyebrow twitched.
"Don’t look at me like that... Besides, with your large stature, you are bound to attract unwanted attention to us."
The fox’s full height had grown to over twenty meters. She essentially looked like a beacon amidst the surroundings.
Evidently, she didn’t take kindly to being spoken to in such a way... However, the fox knew that Michael had a point.
After a second of deliberation, she focused on the depths of his mind.
Michael frowned. Given that the fox didn’t try to force her way in but was asking for his permission, he ultimately let her take a small peek.
She searched for a solution to their predicament. She didn’t need long to find one.
Letting out a howl, her form began to shift. Morphing into a familiar shape.
In the place where her silhouette had stood now rested a sleek sport motorcycle.
"..."
Michael was not a person who particularly cared for transport vehicles, yet even he was taken aback by the view.
’What are you hesitating for?!’ Devil spoke in an almost outraged tone. ’Take her for a ride!’
Mounting a motorbike on the Sun was not in Michael’s area of experience. Unwilling to let the chance slip by, he took a seat, firmly gripping the two handles at the side.
Only then did he realize that, other than the general shape, he had no knowledge about the machinery and no idea how to operate it. Neither in this life nor in his previous one had the need ever arisen.
"How do I—"
The question was drowned out by the screeching of the wheels.
Vrooom!
Leaving a trail of burning inferno behind, the fox, morphed into the shape of a sports motorcycle, drove faster than the top speed of most space shuttles.
Most cultivators would have been blown away by the momentum, yet to Michael, it felt more like an exciting ride than anything.
The powerful wind scraped against his face, deafening his ears, raising his heart rate, and filling him with adrenaline. Before he realized it himself, a large smile had spread across his face.
Of course, that didn’t mean he lost himself. He knew that even with the speed they were traveling at, it would take a long while to reach the colossal beam in the far distance.
"First and foremost, we have to reunite with the others." He said, carefully inspecting the surroundings.
