With that, she let out a few sinister laughs.

The heavy rain hadn’t made the Beastmen tremble, but Wu Yue’s laughter sent a cold shiver down their spines.

’Witches are just too terrifying...’

And it wasn’t just the Scorpion Beastmen who were frightened by Wu Yue’s laughter...

"Clan Leader, a sinister laugh just came from the woods up ahead. You can tell just by listening that it’s no good beast. They must be the ones who kidnapped the little female."

The Beastman scout reported in a low voice.

The Snow Tiger Tribe Leader nodded. "That feels just like the Worm Witch. It’s probably her."

Then, he looked at the Beastman beside him. "Go inform our tribe members. When the others get here, we’ll charge down and surround them. If that person with the nasty laugh has hurt our little female, we’ll send them to meet the Beast God."

The Beastman nodded and turned to relay the message.

Sure enough, a short while later, the Snow Tiger Beastmen lying in ambush saw a group of strange Beastmen running toward them.

One of them was carrying something on his back, wrapped in a straw mat.

The Snow Tiger Tribe Leader frowned. ’Could that be Wu Yue?’

Just then, the Snow Tiger Tribe members, who had also spotted the group, roared in unison and charged down, surrounding the strange Beastmen.

"What tribe are you from? And what are you carrying on your back?"

Seeing this group of Beastmen with their familiar hair color, the Scorpion Beastmen felt their noses tingle, on the verge of tears.

So, when the Snow Tiger Tribe Leader descended from the large tree he was hiding behind, he was met with the pitiful, crestfallen expressions of the strange Beastmen.

’We’ve only surrounded you for now. Aren’t you being a bit too pathetic?’

Just then, the straw mat on the back of the Beastman up front was pushed open a crack, and a familiar little head poked out. "Clan Leader!"

The Snow Tiger Tribe Leader froze for a second, then ran over excitedly. "Wu Yue?"

When the Scorpion Beastmen heard the name the Snow Tiger Tribe Leader called out, they felt nothing but bitter despair.

’How could such a vicious and abominable little female have a name like Yue?’

Seeing Wu Yue about to climb down, the Snow Tiger Tribe Leader immediately called over a strong male from the tribe—the same one who had carried Wu Yue on his back during their trip to the Black Wolf Tribe.

The Beastman walked up excitedly and transformed into a large, soaking-wet tiger. "Yue, let me carry you again." 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Wu Yue chuckled and nodded. The Clan Leader then lifted her with one hand and placed her on the Snow Tiger’s back.

Wu Yue: "..."

’I know this body is scrawny, but could you at least spare my dignity? Being picked up with one hand... Thinking about it makes me sad about my own weight.’

The vicious little female was off his back, but before the irritable Beastman could celebrate, he saw the nearby Snow Tiger Beastmen turn their gazes directly on them.

"Yue, were these the Beastmen who kidnapped you?"

At that, Wu Yue pointed to the two Beastmen leading the way, whose hair dye had half washed out. "It was those two. They dyed their hair to trick me."

The Clan Leader’s gaze sharpened as he looked at the two Beastmen with half-faded hair, and a sinister smile spread across his face. "Then we’ll just have to take them back and have a good long talk about how they dyed their hair."

Wu Yue nodded in emphatic agreement. "That’s what I was thinking, too. Besides, don’t we still have a lot of tribe members without caves to live in? We can take these Beastmen back to help dig."
