Alex felt blaming the system was unnecessary, So he apologized directly, after all regardless of if he trusts the system or not, He has to admit this system is best he can ask for compared to other poor trashsmigrators systems.

Anyone can feel pity for such poor girl, got betrayed by her own sister and lover, then invoked the ancient eldritch entity's power to keep the soul preserved by sheer willpower and hatred, then her soul indeed survive whatever happened that named as age before the fall but as price all memories got wipe out after waking up few days ago.

"...*Sigh* You are safe here because currently you are just dead weight."

Alex then without hesitation spoke to Misty saying these words to someone who was already confused about who she is just to make her more confused and anxious along with lowering her emotionally so he can manipulate more easily.

What? He is a villain, he is just acting like one.
