Chapter 1520: After Story: [IF] Getting Advice From Love Experts! [Part 2]

Taiga and Dantanian straightened their backs at the same time. They had been seeking this information the most, so they treated this matter seriously.

"Step one," Vassago said. "You must make a good impression."

"That’s easy!" Taiga said confidently. "I’m naturally charming."

"Charming?" One of the Pocopocos judgmentally eyed the Tigerkin from head to foot, then repeated it twice. "What part of this... creature is charming?"

"None," another Pocopoco commented. "I don’t see anything charming about this guy. How about you guys?"

"If being stupid is called charming, I guess he is indeed charming," a female Pocopoco commented. "Personally though, I would never lay eggs for this kind of guy."

The other Pocopocos all nodded in agreement. Even though they were called Ugly Birds by many people, at least they still had standards!

"You have the charm of a falling rock," Vassago commented. "A rock that is falling from a very... very... veeeeeeeeeeeeery high place."

"At least a rock has purpose." Poca covered its beak with its wing, trying to stifle a laugh.

Dantanian smirked. "At least I’m famous."

"Famous?" a Pocopoco blinked. "No one even knows what your real face looks like. In fact, the face you might have now may not be your real face. After all, you are the Fiend of Many Faces. Maybe you only choose that face to make yourself look young?" 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

"He is already hundreds of years old. Far older than my grandpa." a Pocopoco blinked. "But if that’s his real face, the ladies would kill for his skin care routine."

"That’s right! You cradle snatcher!"

"At least Taiga’s age difference is not that big. You are already ancient, and you still want to eat the young grass? So shameless!"

The other Pocopoco also made noise, which made Taiga feel a little better. The birds were right. Dantanian was even older than his great grandpa!

"Okay, that’s enough." Vassago coughed lightly, reigning the troublemakers. "Since you have come here to ask for help, then I will help you.

The King of Pocopocos paused for a bit before continuing his explanation.

"Step one is to make a good impression," Vassago repeated. "However, it is not only Remi you need to impress. Zion is important too."

Taiga and Dantanian both stiffened after hearing the truth they already knew. Their relationship with Zion was neither good, nor bad. At most, it was lukewarm.

Still, they believed that if they put enough effort, they would definitely find a way to make the young man approve of them as his sister’s boyfriend!

"Courting Remi is like courting Zion." Poca added. "But don’t give up. If there’s a will, there’s a way."

"Is there really a way?" Taiga asked, feeling helpless.

"Of course," Vassago answered. "Just take a look at Cranky. He got Zion’s approval after he confessed to Shasha. If he can do that, why can’t you?"

"But Cranky is special," Taiga replied. "He has always been there for Zion since the battle against Arundel. That’s why he has his trust."

"And that’s where step two comes in," Vassago stated. "Step two is to prove your value. I’m sure one of Zion’s requirements is that you must be strong enough to protect Remi."

After hearing this, Dantanian coughed lightly before giving Taiga a winning smile.

He was a Fiend! He was strong! He could protect Remi!

Taiga glared hatefully at the Fiend in front of him, but there was no denying the truth. Compared to Dantanian, he was nothing.

"I have value," Dantanian declared. "I am strong, handsome and..."

"—And desperate," a Pocopoco inserted, which made the Fiend almost choke on his own saliva.

Taiga chuckled when he saw the Fiend’s face crumpling after being called out by the Pocopoco.

"Being strong isn’t the only way to protect Remi," Vassago said calmly. "When I was traveling with Zion, he was absurdly weak. But even though he was weak, he was able to beat Arundel. I think those who are strong from the start do not understand the struggles of the weak.

"Sometimes, being able to be there to support someone could also be considered a strength. There were times when even Zion felt depressed. When that happens, Erica would let him *beep* her *beep* while they lay together. That is why even now, Zion likes to *beep* the *beep* of his wives. He was trained from the start!"

""OHHHHH!""

The Pocopocos who weren’t aware of this inside information all reacted at the same time.

"Responsible, dependable, and sincere—I think Zion values these traits a lot," Poca stated. "If you are sincere and wish to be with Remi without any hidden agendas, I’m sure that Zion will sense it.

"So if you approach Remi with ulterior motives, you should just give up now. Her brother will sense it and bury you six feet under!"

Perhaps feeling guilty that they lacked sincerity, Taiga and Dantanian lowered their heads in shame.

The Tigerkin first fell in love with Shasha when he first laid eyes on her due to how beautiful she was.

Since the young lady was Zion’s sister, the Hero of the Valbarra Archipelago, she became more precious in Taiga’s eyes. That was how his infatuation with her began.

But when Cranky and Shasha became a couple, he became heartbroken. That was why during their wedding, he drank a lot to the point of almost passing out.

It was Remi who approached him and asked him to stop drinking too much because it was bad for him.

Perhaps Remi knew that Taiga loved her sister, so she could understand why he was drowning himself in alcohol.

As for Dantanian, he had simply put Zion on a pedestal. His main reason for wanting to be with Remi was to become part of his idol’s family.

When it came to ulterior motives, he was at the top of the list, making him feel ashamed of himself.

While the two were reflecting on their own motives for courting Remi, the Pocopoco spoke once more.

"Step three..." Vassago said, raising his wing slightly. "Is the most important."

The two raised their heads to look at the Pocopoco once more.

Even the other noisy Pocopocos quieted down as if they were waiting for the finale.

"You must confess properly," Vassago declared. "I know this is the basics of the basics, but confessing is very important. The one thing that you should always remember is that the other party can’t read your mind.

"If you don’t tell them how you feel, they will never know. That is how people get friendzoned for life. They don’t take action because they are afraid that they can no longer be together with the person they liked if they get rejected. But, the thing is, that’s just how life works.

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Fortune favors the bold! Just look at us Pocopocos! We might not be the most good looking or strongest creatures in this world, but we played an important role during Zion’s battles!"

"That’s right!"

"We’re the best!"

"We rule!"

"We... what did we do again?"

At that, all the Pocopoco quieted down because they had no idea what Vassago, Poca, Pico, and Pica did during Zion’s greatest battles.

But since they didn’t want to look bad in front of their guests, they just winged it!

"It’s because even though we cannot help them fight, we are still there by their side," Vassago stated. "During the battle with Arundel, it was me and Poca who guided Cristopher to shoot that bolt that almost pierced through Arundel’s chest.

"So it doesn’t matter if you’re strong or not. As long as you are sincere, love will find a way!"

All the Pocopoco cheered their King for sharing his words of wisdom.

After getting their advice, the two returned to the Valbarra Archipelago, where Zion’s Hero Monument was located.

There, they saw Remi, whom everyone treated as the High Priestess of their faith.

Seeing her interact with the people with a smile on her face made Taiga and Dantanian feel ashamed of themselves.

They were doing their best to find a shortcut on how to become her boyfriend, and yet, they lacked the sincerity to make it happen.

In the end, the first to let go was Dantanian.

He truly felt ashamed for approaching Remi with ulterior motives because he only wanted to become part of the Leventis Family.

A few years later, Remi finally came of age.

And the person that stood by her side, despite being kicked out countless times out of the house by Zion and Gerald, was none other than Taiga.

He endured everything and proved to everyone that he was taking his relationship with Remi seriously.

Because of this, Remi developed a soft spot for him. Sometimes, she even went out on dates with the Hero of the Tigerkin Race, who proved that Vassago’s teaching about sincerity was the way to Zion’s and Remi’s heart.

"What are you thinking?" Remi asked as she walked hand in hand with Taiga after their trip to the convenience store.

"I feel so happy right now," Taiga replied with a smile, looking at Remi with a tender gaze.

"Why are you happy?"

"It’s because I’m with you right now."

Remi averted her gaze so the Tigerkin wouldn’t see the blush on her face.

They were not aware that perched on the rooftop of the houses that they were passing through, were Vassago, Poca, Pico, and Pica, who looked very proud of the Tigerkin that put a lot of effort in winning the heart of the young lady that was now holding his hand.
