Teasing Her Beast Husbands Until They Fall Hard
Chapter 161: Heartbroken Return to the Sea Clan
Sorrow and anger filled Noah’s heart. He had come to the seaside in his melancholy to clear his head.
After all, he was from the Sea Clan and had an innate affinity for the ocean. Just looking at the vast, boundless sea could grant him a moment of peace.
He sat on the shore all day, mulling things over, and finally realized his behavior had been far too impulsive. A strong urge washed over him—he had to find Su Yaoyao, offer her a sincere apology, and salvage their relationship.
However, fate seemed to enjoy playing cruel tricks.
When he happened to glance back, he saw Su Yaoyao with that seductive fox, their actions intimate.
Lucia was devoutly kissing the back of Su Yaoyao’s hand, and her shy expression was a painful sting to his eyes.
’Was I the only one suffering over yesterday? She looks so happy, already on a date with another man...’ 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
The sight was a dagger that plunged straight into Noah’s heart, instantly shattering the courage he had just mustered and all the hope he had held.
Anger and despair intertwined in his heart, and he lost all reason.
He clenched his jaw, his eyes rimmed with red, and with a SPLASH, he jumped into the ocean without a moment’s hesitation.
’All I have to do is swim, and the sea will carry me back to the Sea Clan, back to where I belong, far away from this heartbreaking place.’
Tears streamed uncontrollably from the corners of his eyes. But here, in the ocean, they flowed upward, finally merging with the vast sea and disappearing without a trace.
On the shore, a passerby happened to witness Noah jump into the sea and immediately began to shout in a panic, "Someone’s in the water! Somebody help!" The sharp cries shattered the tranquil seaside atmosphere like an alarm bell, quickly drawing the attention of Su Yaoyao and the others.
When Su Yaoyao heard the cries, her heart clenched, and she instinctively ran toward the shore.
Lucia and Roland hurried after her.
Roland, swift and agile, was the first to reach the water’s edge. He dove in without hesitation and swam a frantic circle, but found no one. He surfaced, shouting, "There’s no one here!"
The passerby who had shouted was also baffled. He scratched his head and said, "Huh? That’s weird. I swear I saw a young man jump in..."
Upon hearing that, Roland frowned, took another deep breath, and dove back under to search more carefully.
But once again, he found no one.
Seeing this, the passerby rubbed his head and said, a little embarrassed, "Well, I guess I must have seen it wrong."
With that, the small crowd that had gathered began to disperse.
Roland climbed ashore, dripping wet, and let out a long sigh. "Thank goodness it was a false alarm," he said.
Su Yaoyao looked at the drenched Roland with concern. "Roland, you’re soaked through. You’ll catch a cold."
Lucia chimed in from the side, "I remember there’s a dry cleaner’s over there. You can get your clothes dried."
Roland nodded. "Miss, I’ll be right back."
Su Yaoyao urged, "Yes, hurry up and go."
Roland turned and strode quickly in the direction of the shop.
Su Yaoyao gazed at the surface of the sea, unable to keep from worrying about Noah again. The anxiety was like a vine, spreading unchecked through the depths of her heart.
She couldn’t say why, but a strange sense of unease hung over her like a heavy cloud, weighing on her heart.
Seeing Su Yaoyao’s worried expression, Lucia felt a pang of disappointment, but his heart ached for her even more.
He truly didn’t want to see Yaoyao so unhappy, so he asked, "Are you thinking about the friend you argued with again?"
Su Yaoyao started, realizing she had been neglecting Lucia, which felt wrong. A guilty look crossed her face as she said hurriedly, "I’m sorry, Lucia. I was just..."
Before she could finish, Lucia suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a run.
Surprised by his sudden move, Su Yaoyao stumbled to keep up. "Roland is still at the shop!" she said anxiously.
Lucia glanced back at her, his eyes sparkling, a brilliant smile spreading across his face. "But I don’t want a third wheel on our date. Our time alone has only just begun."
Su Yaoyao looked at Lucia’s captivating smile, so full of life and light, and it seemed to possess a magical quality. Without her even realizing it, her mood began to lift.
"Where are you taking me?" she couldn’t help but ask, her heart filled with curiosity as she watched his long, fiery red hair flowing in the wind before her.
Without breaking his stride, Lucia called back, "I don’t know! But it doesn’t matter where we go. The view is always beautiful, as long as I’m with you."
His answer deeply moved her, like a feather gently brushing against her heart, sending soft ripples through it.
So as not to worry Roland, she quickly sent a message using the Light Computer on her finger.
Then, they ran along the streets, past bustling markets and through quiet alleys, their laughter spilling into every corner they passed.
As night fell, Lucia held Su Yaoyao’s hand tightly as they strolled down a bustling street. The streetlights cast a soft glow, stretching their shadows out long behind them.
Before long, they arrived at a unique Beastman restaurant.
The restaurant’s exterior was quaint and mysterious, with a wooden sign carved with strange beast-like patterns that exuded a special charm under the lights.
The moment they stepped inside, a wave of warmth and the faint aroma of food washed over them.
The decor inside was incredibly romantic. A single, flickering candle sat on each table, its dim, yellow light casting dappled shadows on the walls and creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
Lucia led Su Yaoyao to a table in the corner and pulled out her chair like a gentleman. "My beautiful lady, please have a seat," he said gently. He only sat down after she had taken her seat.
A waiter smiled and handed them menus. Lucia studied them carefully, ordered a few of the restaurant’s signature dishes, and then chose a bottle of fine vintage red wine. "This one is smooth and richly fruity," he said. "It will be the perfect complement to our evening."
Soon, the dishes began to arrive. The plating was exquisite, like miniature works of art that were a feast for the eyes.
The tender roasted meat glistened invitingly, garnished with colorful vegetables like a vibrant painting. The bread was baked to a golden-brown crisp, filling the air with the scent of wheat.
Su Yaoyao’s eyes sparkled with delight as she looked at the food before her. "This looks amazing!" she couldn’t help but exclaim.
Lucia gently raised his wine glass and clinked it against hers, producing a clear, pleasant chime. "To our special runaway date tonight," he said. "Cheers."
