The next morning, warm sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains, gently falling upon Su Yaoyao’s bed.

She slowly stirred awake, her eyes still heavy with sleep, and felt a warm, solid presence wrapped around her.

Glancing to the side, she was surprised to find His Majesty Augustine holding her tightly. His chiseled face was inches from hers, his steady, warm breath brushing against her cheek with a reassuring scent.

His arms were as strong as cast iron, yet they held her carefully, as if he were guarding the world’s most precious treasure.

Su Yaoyao’s heart instantly began to pound like a frightened deer, and a blush involuntarily crept up her face.

She gazed quietly at His Majesty Augustine’s sleeping face. His usually stern and cold features now held a rare softness and a touch of boyishness in his sleep.

Beneath his high-bridged nose, the corners of his lips were slightly upturned, as if he had encountered something wonderful even in his dreams.

As if sensing her gaze, Augustine slowly opened his eyes. His deep eyes, still hazy from sleep, met Su Yaoyao’s.

The corners of his mouth lifted into a gentle smile as he said softly, "Good morning, my little princess." His voice was deep and magnetic, still tinged with the laziness of early morning.

Su Yaoyao’s cheeks grew even hotter. She replied shyly, "Good morning..." Her voice was as soft as a whisper, as if she were afraid to disturb the beautiful morning calm.

Just as the atmosphere grew tender and romantic, Su Yaoyao’s communication device suddenly flashed and let out a series of urgent beeps.

She jumped slightly, surprised to see it was a video call from Bai Lian.

His Majesty Augustine followed her gaze. Seeing that the call was from Bai Lian, a flash of understanding crossed his eyes. He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and whispered, "I’ll step out. You should take the call so they don’t worry."

With that, he slowly released his arms from around her, rose, straightened his clothes, and walked gracefully out of the room.

Su Yaoyao took a deep breath to calm her flustered heart before quickly answering the call.

On the screen, the anxious faces of Reg and Pani appeared instantly. Words tumbled out of them like a string of firecrackers. "Yaoyao, how are you?"

"We saw the news! An S-Class Frenzied Beastman actually appeared in the Imperial City!"

Su Yaoyao was about to respond but was drowned out by their frantic words.

Reg: "Bai Lian said that with your personality, you definitely wouldn’t just stand by. You probably even ran off to soothe the frenzied one!"

Pani: "Yeah, I was worried sick."

"Ahem," Bai Lian interjected at the right moment, sounding helpless. "You two, stop hogging the conversation. Let Yaoyao get a word in."

Reg and Pani finally quieted down and stood obediently behind Bai Lian.

Looking at the familiar, dear faces on the screen, Su Yaoyao’s heart warmed, and her nose tingled. She smiled and said, "I’m fine, really. The Frenzied Beastman has already been soothed and purified."

As she spoke, her voice trembled and her eyes began to redden. "Leon, Reg, Pani, I miss you guys so much..." Before she could finish, tears streamed down her face.

"We miss you too, Yaoyao!" the three of them replied in unison, their voices full of affection.

Bai Lian’s gaze was gentle but firm. "Don’t worry, Yaoyao. Our work here is wrapping up. We’ll be back with you soon."

"Really?" Hope instantly lit up in Su Yaoyao’s eyes, though tearstains still marked her cheeks.

"Mhm!" The three of them nodded, their eyes also filled with anticipation.

Bai Lian looked at the wet tear tracks on Su Yaoyao’s face and said with heartache, "Yaoyao, the emergency deployment mission at the military base is nearing its final phase. We’ll head back as soon as it’s done. We expect to be back by your side within a week."

Reg jumped in, "Yaoyao, you have no idea how tricky this mission was. We were in charge of commanding and deploying defensive forces in the surrounding areas, and we had to organize personnel to sweep potentially dangerous zones to make sure there were no other hidden threats."

Pani added, "Yeah, and not only that, we also had to coordinate supply logistics with various departments to ensure the front lines were well-stocked. Thankfully, everyone worked together, and we managed to complete the mission smoothly."

Listening to them, Su Yaoyao looked worried. "That sounds incredibly difficult. You guys didn’t get hurt, did you? You have to be careful on missions."

Bai Lian smiled reassuringly. "Don’t worry, Yaoyao. We were all very careful. No one got hurt. Although the mission was tough, it was a great help in improving the military base’s overall defensive capabilities."

Reg scratched his head and said with a smile, "It’s just that when we were busy, our minds were completely filled with the mission. But the moment we had a break, we couldn’t help but worry about you. When we saw that something had happened in the Imperial City, we were frantic and wished we could fly to your side immediately."

Su Yaoyao was touched. "I know you care about me, but I worry about you too. You’re in charge of managing the military base, which is a huge responsibility. You absolutely must stay safe."

Pani nodded earnestly. "We will, Yaoyao. When we get back, we’ll tell you all the interesting stories from this mission."

Su Yaoyao’s tears turned to laughter. "Okay, I’ll be waiting to hear them. You guys have to take care of yourselves over there, too. Eat and rest on time."

Bai Lian looked at her gently. "Has His Majesty been taking good care of you during this time?"

Su Yaoyao’s face flushed slightly as images of Augustine’s meticulous care flashed through her mind. She said softly, "Mhm, he’s been very good to me. He’s been by my side constantly, looking after my every need."

Reg and Pani exchanged a look. ’Looks like this ’Majesty’ is pretty reliable after all!’

Bai Lian smiled faintly. "That’s good. With him by your side, we can rest a little easier. But if he ever dares to bully you, you tell us, and we’ll come back and settle the score for you."

Reg crossed his arms and chimed in loudly, "Yeah! That’s right! Leon is absolutely right! Who cares if he’s ’His Majesty’ or not? In our eyes, if he dares to let Yaoyao suffer even the slightest bit, that’s not happening!"

Pani, at the side, nodded repeatedly, his tone resolute. "No one is allowed to hurt Yaoyao!"

Su Yaoyao laughed and replied, "I know, I know. You guys, stop worrying about me all the time."

They chatted cheerfully for a while longer, the atmosphere warm and pleasant.

It wasn’t until the sound of a soldier reporting for duty could be heard on Bai Lian’s end that Su Yaoyao reluctantly said, "Alright, I won’t keep you any longer. You should get back to work. And remember, you absolutely have to be safe."

Bai Lian, Reg, and Pani responded in unison, "We know, Yaoyao. You too. We’ll have a proper reunion when we get back."

After ending the call, Su Yaoyao gently set down her communication device and leaned back against her pillow, a happy smile gracing her face.

She knew that even though her Beast Husbands were far away, their hearts were always connected. This deep affection was like the warm winter sun, warming every inch of her soul.

Thinking of her impending reunion with them, Su Yaoyao was filled with wonderful aspirations for the days to come.
