Ten Thousand Soul Banner: Deceased, do you have any unfulfilled wishes?
Chapter 1199 - 1195: Two Little Mischiefs
"You’re getting more and more sassy, aren’t you, little rascal?"
Tang Tang stood not far away, watching Dou Dou getting spanked, and immediately burst into laughter, "han~han~han~," her little face full of schadenfreude.
After laughing, she looked down at the empty bowl in her hand again and reluctantly flipped it over, giving it a couple of shakes to confirm there was indeed nothing left, pouting with a bit of regret.
Then her shiny black eyes began darting around.
Her gaze swept across the table, the kitchen, finally landing firmly in the direction of the balcony.
Just now, when Mao Sanmei was making Qingbufang, she had also served Shen Siyuan a big bowl, placing it on the small table on the balcony.
But Shen Siyuan had been busy, and hadn’t touched the bowl at all. It sat there quietly, chill and tempting.
As Dou Dou lay across Taozi’s lap, she caught a glimpse of Tang Tang tiptoeing by, heading towards the balcony.
A light bulb went off in her head, and she couldn’t worry about anything else.
"Aunt, I forgive you, let me go now."
"No way," Taozi teased her intentionally.
"Then I’ll hate you forever."
"Suit yourself, I’ve got nothing to lose."
"I’ll tell Great Grandmother you’re bullying me." Dou Dou immediately pulled out the big guns.
"Oh, so now you’re tattling?" Taozi raised a hand and gave her a couple more light pats on the little bottom.
"Then I’ll tell Sister Ruan." Dou Dou promptly switched targets.
Taozi paused her actions for a moment.
"Huh? What’s that supposed to mean? You think I’m scared of her?" Taozi raised her eyebrows, displeased.
Dou Dou looked up at her and quietly "hmph"ed, her eyes clearly saying: You know it.
Taozi lost her breath, feeling both annoyed and amused, gave her a few more taps.
"Just let me go, or I’ll really hate you and won’t play with you ever again, wah wah wah..."
Dou Dou immediately closed her eyes, fake cried, but couldn’t squeeze out many tears.
"You little rascal, pulling this trick on me."
Taozi grumbled but gently set her down.
Little did she know, as soon as Dou Dou touched the ground, her pitiful act vanished without a trace. Like an unleashed bullet, she dashed towards where Tang Tang disappeared, not a hint of sadness on her face.
-----------------
Tang Tang tiptoed to the balcony door, peeked out her little head for a look.
Shen Siyuan was standing against the railing, holding a copper mirror in his hands, slightly frowning, as if sensing something, completely unaware of the little figure sneaking up behind him.
On the small round table on the balcony, the Qingbufang was still emitting a chill, the sweetness of the coconut milk mixed with the fruit aroma wafting into Tang Tang’s nose.
"Han~"
She instinctively grinned a silly smile, quickly covering it with her small hands.
She swallowed, clenched her small fists, quietly edged to the table.
Her tiny body couldn’t quite reach the tabletop, so she tiptoed, stretched out her little arms, fingertips just about to touch the bowl rim, when suddenly, a rush of footsteps sounded behind her.
"Tang Tang, put it down, that’s mine..."
Dou Dou’s voice exploded like a firecracker. Tang Tang was so startled she jerked her hand back, turned around glaring at Dou Dou, who was running up, her little face full of caught-in-the-act panic, still giggling "han~han," her eyes flickering nervously.
"Hmph, that belongs to Potato, Potato likes me the most, so it’s mine, you can’t have it..." Dou Dou stood in front of her, hands on hips, panting heavily.
Tang Tang tilted her little head, feigning ignorance, while secretly her little hands still reached stealthily towards the bowl.
"Don’t move!"
Dou Dou slapped her hand away, "Let’s play rock-paper-scissors, whoever wins gets to eat it."
Tang Tang blinked, seemingly finding the suggestion interesting, nodded, and extended her hand in a "paper" gesture.
Seeing this, Dou Dou immediately flashed a sly grin and quickly extended her hand: "Scissors, I win!"
She smugly raised her chin, just about to reach for the bowl, when suddenly Tang Tang yelled, "Wah," quickly scooped up a handful of red beans from the bowl and ran off after stuffing them in her mouth.
"Tang Tang, you cheat!" Dou Dou stomped in anger and immediately gave chase.
Not caring about the Qingbufang anymore, she ran after Tang Tang from the balcony to the living room. Tang Tang’s little legs moved like little motors, running fast, mouth full of red beans, giggling "han han" unclearly.
Dou Dou pursued closely, yelling as she ran, "That’s mine, spit it out..."
Shen Siyuan, alerted by the two little rascals’ commotion, turned around, seeing them circling the small round table. His bowl of Qingbufang had been knocked over onto the table, coconut milk dripping down the edge, a few watermelon seeds scattered on the floor.
"You two, slow down, don’t fall."
Shen Siyuan shook his head helplessly, went over to upright the bowl, luckily still with more than half remaining.
"Han~"
Tang Tang directly hid behind Shen Siyuan, grabbed his shirt tail, poking her little head out, sticking her tongue out at Dou Dou, a face full of provocation.
However, Dou Dou stopped chasing, her face grinning cheekily, "Potato, Tang Tang dirtied your clothes."
Shen Siyuan looked down to see indeed, the spot where Tang Tang’s little hand had been, two small paw prints remained.
Noticing this, Tang Tang saw Shen Siyuan looking down at her, immediately grinned a silly smile, trying to play cute to get away with it.
Dou Dou chose this moment to chime in, "She also ate your Qingbufang, grabbing with her hands, knocked over the bowl too..."
This time Tang Tang panicked, her eyes widened, pointing at Dou Dou, "Uh... Uh..."
Because the bowl wasn’t actually knocked over by her, it was Dou Dou.
At that moment, Duoduo’s voice came from the living room.
"Brother, I’m back..."
Shen Siyuan turned and saw Duoduo coming in from outside, seeming to have something to discuss.
He rubbed Tang Tang’s little head, handed her the remaining half bowl of Qingbufang.
"What’s left, you can have it."
"Han?"
Tang Tang hurriedly took it, smugly raised her eyebrows at Dou Dou.
Dou Dou also widened her eyes in surprise; Potato didn’t punish Tang Tang, even gave her the rest to eat. It’s so unfair, isn’t he supposed to like me the most?
Forget the Qingbufang, this problem needs figuring out.
So she quickly ran after Shen Siyuan.
Watching Dou Dou leave, Tang Tang glanced down at the bowl in her hand, suddenly felt the Qingbufang wasn’t as tasty as before.
So she carried the bowl, following into the living room.
