Eve’s pace increased, chasing the building pressure. When Damon’s thumb found her clit and circled it with perfect pressure, she came apart completely.

This orgasm was different....slower, deeper, rolling through her in waves that seemed endless. Damon groaned and followed her over, and Eve collapsed against his chest.

"Can’t," she managed weakly. "Can’t take any more."

"Yes you can," Silas said, and there was dark promise in his voice. "We’re not done with you yet."

They took her two more times, once with Silas slow and thorough and devastating, once with all three of them working in coordination until she was sobbing with overstimulation and pleasure.

By the time they finally let her rest, Eve was boneless and thoroughly satisfied and convinced she’d never move again.

"Sleep," Damian murmured, pulling a blanket over all of them. "Tomorrow’s the formal session. You need rest."

But Eve was already drifting, wrapped in warmth and safety and absolute love.

Her last conscious thought before sleep claimed her was simple and profound:

She was free.

Free of Malachai’s shadow. Free of old anger. Free to simply live and love and build the future she wanted.

And that freedom was worth more than any revenge could ever be.

The next morning, Eve woke wrapped in her mates and felt lighter than she had in months.

"Good morning," Silas murmured against her hair.

"Morning." Eve stretched carefully, feeling pleasant soreness in muscles that had been thoroughly worked. "What time is it?"

"Early. We have a few hours before the formal session."

Eve turned in his arms to face him. "I need to tell you something."

"What?"

"I realized last night that I haven’t thought about Malachai, really thought about him in weeks. When Astrid brought him up yesterday, it was just... administrative. Like discussing any other policy matter." She paused. "I think I’m finally done carrying that anger."

Silas’s expression softened. "Good. You deserve to be free of him."

"I am free of him. Completely." Eve smiled. "It feels good."

"Then let’s make sure it stays that way." Silas kissed her gently. "Today you walk into that Conclave chamber as their Queen. Not as someone fighting against Malachai’s legacy. Just as yourself. That’s all you need to be."

"Just myself," Eve repeated.

"Just yourself. Which is more than enough."

The formal Conclave session had gone perfectly.

Eve had addressed the assembled factions with confidence and clarity, outlining implementation timelines and accountability measures. The votes had been unanimous. The path forward was clear.

She should have felt triumphant.

Instead, walking back to their suite with her mates, she felt a strange hollowness in her chest.

"What’s wrong?" Damian asked immediately, reading her expression.

"Nothing. Everything went well." Eve tried to smile. "Better than well, actually."

"But?" Silas prompted gently.

Eve sighed. "I just keep thinking about Vessa. She told me this morning that she’s leaving next week. Going to travel. See the world she hid from for forty-one years."

"That’s good, isn’t it?" Damon said. "She kept her promise to your mother. Now she gets to live for herself."

"It is good. I want her to go. Want her to be happy." Eve’s throat felt tight. "But she’s family. The last real connection I have to my mother. And I’m going to miss her."

Damian pulled her against his side. "She’s coming back. This isn’t goodbye forever."

"I know. But it still feels like losing something."

They reached the suite and found Vessa waiting in the sitting room, a cup of tea in her hands, looking more peaceful than Eve had ever seen her.

"There you are," Vessa said warmly. "I heard the session went well. Congratulations."

"Thank you." Eve settled onto the couch beside her. "For everything. For teaching me. For keeping your promise. For being here when I needed you."

Vessa’s eyes grew bright. "It was my honor. Your mother would be so proud of who you’ve become."

"I wish she could see it."

"She can." Vessa’s hand covered Eve’s. "I believe that. Wherever Lilith is, she knows what you’ve accomplished. And she’s proud."

The words made Eve’s throat constrict. "When do you leave?"

"Three days. I’ve booked passage to the Mediterranean first. I’ve always wanted to see the Greek islands." Vessa’s smile was wistful. "Then maybe India. Japan. Places I only read about while I was hiding."

"Will you come back?"

"Of course. This is home now. You’re family. But I need to do this. Need to figure out who Vessa is when she’s not carrying someone else’s promise." She paused. "Do you understand?"

"I do." Eve squeezed her hand. "And I’m happy for you. Really. Just... stay in touch? Send postcards or letters or something so I know you’re okay?"

"Every week," Vessa promised. "With detailed descriptions of everything I see and do. You’ll get sick of hearing from me."

"Never."

They talked for another hour about Vessa’s travel plans, about the places she wanted to visit and the things she wanted to experience. By the time Vessa left to continue packing, Eve felt better, not less sad about the goodbye, but more at peace with it.

"You okay?" Silas asked once they were alone.

"Yeah. I will be." Eve leaned into him. "Change is hard. Even good change."

"Then let us make it easier," Damian said, moving to stand in front of her. His eyes were dark with intention. "Let us remind you that you’re not losing anything. Just gaining the freedom to let people you love find their own paths."

Eve’s breath caught at the heat in his gaze. "Here? Now?"

"Why not?" Damon’s hand slid into her hair, tilting her head back. "We have hours before dinner. No obligations. No interruptions. Just us and you and all the time in the world."

They undressed her slowly, reverently, and when Eve stood naked before them she felt beautiful and powerful and absolutely cherished.

Damian lifted her and carried her to the bed, laying her down with infinite care. "Tonight is about you," he said, settling beside her. "About making you feel so good you forget everything else."

His mouth found her breast, and Eve gasped as he took her nipple between his lips. He sucked gently at first, then harder, his tongue circling the sensitive peak until it was hard and aching.
