The Alpha Kings And Their Stripper Mate
Chapter 346: Bonded
The full moon hung heavy and silver over the estate grounds, casting everything in ethereal light.
Eve stood at the edge of the clearing where the pack had gathered, watching them prepare for Maya’s bonding ceremony. Torches ringed the space, their flames dancing in the night breeze. The pack formed a loose circle, their energy crackling in the air, anticipation mixed with something primal and ancient.
At the center stood Maya, wearing a simple white dress that reached her knees, her dark hair loose around her shoulders. She looked nervous but determined, her chin lifted in that stubborn way Eve had seen a thousand times.
"You’re sure about this?" Eve asked, moving to stand beside her best friend.
Maya turned, and her smile was radiant despite the nerves Eve could see in her eyes. "I’ve never been more sure of anything. I want this, Eve. I want to be pack. I want to belong here the way you do."
"You already belong...."
"Not like this. Not really." Maya squeezed her hand. "This makes it permanent. Makes it real. I’m ready."
Damian approached, his Alpha authority radiating from him in waves. He was shirtless, wearing only loose pants, his skin marked with ceremonial symbols painted in what looked like silver ink. Behind him came Damon and Silas, similarly marked.
"Maya," Damian said, his voice carrying across the clearing with supernatural resonance. "You stand before the Blackwood pack asking to be bonded. To leave your human life behind and become wolf. To bind yourself to this pack, to its members, to its laws and its protection. Do you understand what you’re asking?"
"I do," Maya said, her voice steady.
"Once this is done, there’s no going back. You’ll be wolf. Forever. Your human life, your human mortality....gone. Replaced with something new. Something other." His eyes were intense, glowing faintly gold. "Are you certain this is what you want?"
"Yes, Alpha. I’m certain."
Damian nodded once. "Then let us begin."
The pack began to hum....a low, resonant sound that seemed to vibrate through the ground itself. Eve felt it in her bones, felt the magic gathering in the clearing like static electricity.
Brynn stepped forward carrying a ceremonial bowl filled with liquid that glowed faintly in the moonlight. "This is pack blood," she explained to Maya. "Blood freely given by every member who’s chosen to participate in your bonding. When you drink it, you’ll be accepting them. And they’ll be accepting you."
Maya took the bowl with trembling hands and raised it to her lips. She drank deeply, her throat working, until the bowl was empty.
The pack’s humming intensified.
Damian stepped closer, and his eyes had gone completely gold, his wolf fully present and watching. "Kneel," he ordered gently.
Maya knelt on the soft grass, her hands fisted in her dress.
"The bite must come from an Alpha," Damian said, circling behind her. "It will hurt. A lot. But the pain is part of the transformation. Part of becoming what you’re meant to be." He paused. "Do you accept this freely?"
"I do."
"Then bare your neck."
Maya pulled her hair aside, exposing the curve where her neck met her shoulder. Eve saw her best friend’s hands shaking and moved closer instinctively.
Damian’s hand came to rest on Maya’s shoulder, steadying her. "Breathe. And trust that we’ll catch you when you fall."
Then he bit down.
Maya’s scream tore through the night....raw and agonized and absolutely primal. Her body went rigid, every muscle locked in agony as the Alpha venom flooded her system.
Eve lurched forward but Silas caught her. "Let it happen," he said quietly. "This is necessary. She has to go through it."
Damian held the bite for what felt like an eternity but was probably only seconds. When he finally released Maya, she collapsed forward onto her hands, gasping and shaking.
The bite mark on her shoulder glowed, actually glowed, silver light pulsing with her heartbeat.
"It’s done," Damian said, wiping blood from his mouth. "The transformation has begun."
Maya made a sound halfway between a sob and a laugh. "Holy fuck that hurt."
"It’s going to keep hurting," Brynn warned, kneeling beside her. "For about three months. Your body is changing. Rewriting itself at a cellular level. It’s going to be hell, Maya. I’m not going to lie to you."
"I can handle it," Maya managed through gritted teeth.
The pack’s humming reached a crescendo, and then....as one.....they howled.
The sound was deafening and beautiful and absolutely wild. It rolled across the estate grounds, announcing to the supernatural world that the Blackwood pack had a new member.
Eve felt tears streaming down her face. Her best friend. Her sister in everything but blood. Now pack. Now wolf. Now bound to this world the same way Eve was.
When the howling finally faded, Maya tried to stand and immediately swayed. Damian caught her before she fell.
"Easy," he said. "The venom’s already working. You need rest. Your body needs time to adjust."
"I feel... weird," Maya said, her words slightly slurred.
"You’ll get better after resting," Damon promised, moving to support her other side.
They began to guide Maya toward the estate, and the pack parted to let them through. As they passed, pack members reached out to touch Maya’s shoulder, her hand, offering contact and welcome. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"You’re pack now," someone said.
"One of us," another added.
"Welcome home, sister," Brynn said, her smile genuine and warm.
Eve walked beside them, her hand finding Maya’s and squeezing tight.
"Thank you," Maya whispered. "For bringing me into this world. For showing me there was more than just... ordinary."
"Thank you for choosing to stay," Eve said "For choosing us."
They reached Maya’s room and settled her into bed. Her skin was already feverish, the first stage of transformation beginning.
"Sleep," Damian ordered gently. "Your body needs to focus all its energy on changing. We’ll be right here when you wake up."
Maya’s eyes were already closing, exhaustion and venom pulling her under. "Promise?" she mumbled.
"Promise," Eve said, brushing hair back from her friend’s face. "I’m not going anywhere."
