To my amazing readers, thank you for the patience with me. In all sincerity, I didn’t wish to return this book due to a lot of negative comments on how the book was going. It affected my ability to write and it gave me a level of low self esteem I hadn’t experienced in a while. But then I remembered again. That people love this book too. People who have poured in money and I do owe them. I owe this beautiful book itself. And I owe myself. I see all your comments believe me I do. And I appreciate it. My book would be nothing without all of you. I will strive to deliver the quality you deserve and finish this beautiful tale. And also resume others I had abandoned. Thank you so much. I make no promises anymore, but will strive to deliver from henceforth.

Please give me, Stephanie King another Chance, despite the fact I am

not deserving of it. And no this isn’t a prolongation of the book, It’s the storyline I always had in mind. Welcome to Volume two. I love you all. Thank you. And I genuinely apologize for my silence and disappearance.

ELEANOR’S POV

Eleanor looked down at Jasmine’s dead body.

The soft cry of the baby pulled her away from her thoughts.

She set her finger against the silky blonde on the child’s head as he wept.

He had his grandfather’s hair.

Eleanor’s face became grim and then she saw that he looked exactly like Xaden and she gave a light smile.

She had never had the chance to raise or see him as a baby only as a seven year old boy.

And now she knew what he looked like.

Jasmine’s genes hadn’t even attempted to try. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

And in a way Eleanor was beyond words delighted because it would only drag their enemies closer.

That was the last thing she needed

She gently nestled him around her chest and shushed him.

He went a bit silent and Eleanor thought to herself how this new baby didn’t know his mother was gone.

And it broke her heart.

After everything Jasmine had been through, she hadn’t even been given the chance to raise him for herself.

It broke her heart.

She had to bury Jasmine.

She would give her a befitting burial.

One worthy of her status as not just the Heir to throne, but as a woman who had lived and defied all odds.

At that moment she heard a wolf approach and the scent immediately prevented her from getting hostile

Otto immediately transformed into his human form and ran to where she stood.

"I’ve lost them a while back and-

He paused cold when he saw Jasmine lying dead on the floor.

Eleanor felt Otto stiffen behind her as she cradled the baby in her arms.

Otto dropped to his knees instantly and seemed to wobble in anxiety.

He stuttered between words unsure of what to say or perhaps how to act.

His hands trembled as he slowly reached over to touch Jasmine’s becoming cold body.

He swallowed hard and clenched his fists.

"I should have gotten here on time." He said the tears fighting to escape from his eyes.

"This is not your fault." Eleanor said with a heavy sigh. "I have already explained to you who Jasmine is. What she is."

Otto pressed his eyes as his face became a visible red.

"She didn’t become her true potential at the right time. Her son’s birth. It killed her. There is nothing any of us could have done."

Otto sniffed as his face became bright red.

He looked down at her no words able to come out from his lips.

The baby in Eleanor’s arms gave a soft cry and Otto paused.

He had completely forgotten that the child even existed.

Before he could understand anything at all, he sensed danger from afar and he faced west.

Eleanor herself was facing west by the time he turned away.

"His loyal followers." Eleanor said a hint of panic in her voice.

"I thought I lost them." Otto said in anger seemingly looking for a way to take out his rage on Jasmine’s death.

He rose up to his feet, his wolf already growing in fury.

Eleanor very gently placed her hand on his chest to stop him.

"I know you are angry but we need to make smart decisions not rash ones." She cautioned.

She sighed heavily to herself. "This child has so much power. Can you feel it?"

Otto closed his eyes as the power the little baby evolved around the air.

"Almost as raw and powerful as Jasmine’s. Perhaps even stronger." Eleanor noted.

She adjusted the baby’s head in the nook of her arm and looked sharply at Otto. "He needs to be taken far away. They will come for him."

Otto swallowed. "Where? His grandparents?"

"Goddess no!" Eleanor snapped. "That is the last place he should be. That fucking royal pack is littered with enemies in every corner, he would be dead in a day. Moreover they don’t deserve him. He should be with his father."

Otto looked at her like she had gone mad. "WHAT????? He should go to Xaden? The one who put Jasmine through hell."

"Xaden will protect him." Eleanor tried to reason.

Otto gave a bitter laugh. "Xaden doesn’t even know Jasmine was pregnant. Talk-less of having a son. Wasn’t the rumour that he was infertile. He would never buy this."

"Jasmine was pregnant before he would believe it and-

A loud wolf howl went off in the air and Eleanor shook her head as she pushed the baby gently into his arms. "Here, have him."

"What?" Otto asked horrified at the baby being thrust into his arms.

"I don’t have time to argue. We don’t have time to argue." Eleanor said as she whispered some incantations over the baby and he fell asleep almost instantly.

"You’re the one who should raise the child." He said.

"I can’t. My presence would always be sensed no matter where I hide. That is why the baby can’t be with me." She said her eyes pleading.

"And you think Xaden would be a better hiding spot? You think they won’t find him there?"

Eleanor shut her eyes in frustration.

She chewed on her lips now caught in a fix.

"Why don’t you raise him then?" She asked.

Otto scoffed and when he saw she wasn’t joking his eyes widened. "Wait you’re being serious. I am a mad wolf I can’t do such a thing."

The howl was louder now and it wasn’t just one but about eight.

"Go. I will find you. Go somewhere safe. When we meet then we can figure it out." She urged him.

He simply remained standing and she used her hand to push him away, but gently so he won’t fall.

"GO!"

And with one last look at Jasmine’s body, he muttered. "You were the only one who believed in me."

And he ran off with the baby in his arms.
