The Character That Was Never Written
Chapter 3 : Meditation
Zeres stared at his formed one star inside his own subconscious for a moment "somehow, it felt relieving for your efforts to be granted. " the first formed star had a unique glow on it, it was dark maroon in color.
After moment, he opened his eyes "I probably need to train here, my training partners will be those undead. " he thought grimly
Zeres extended his hand "But this place is filled with dense mana, it might even help me reached sixth-star" the mana hovering around the air trembled faintly as he tried to gather a few mana
"I’ll have to meditate more, then I’ll practice it all here as I still have five months" He then went on his subconscious one more time, it was still dark, only one star illuminating the dark space
Sitting on a meditative position, Zeres maximised his senses, carefully gathering the mana around him; gently guiding them on one point inside his subconscious "there, the four separate mana’s now here" he smiled, then he let one of his affinity, the blood to envelop one of the pure mana orb. The process itself was hard, requiring full focus on every element, but the real challenge was in merging them.
A faint shimmer, the four pure mana was now enveloped by his own affinity "I need to be careful on this" Zeres flexed his fingers, then he guided the blood affinity orb carefully towards the water affinity—it trembled for a moment, before they completely merged into one orb.
Moments passed, Zeres’ hair fluttered as the wind around him howled
A smile tugged at his lips as he stared at his second formed- star "Is this the difference between race?" He had thought that it will be hard to formed such stars that’s even more unique than the circles used by the current mages.
Interrupting him our of his thoughts, a ringing chimed echoed inside his head.
[Congratulations host, you have successfully formed your second star!]

Zeres stared at the screen quietly "Sanguine huh" he’d never heard of that race being mentioned, but maybe they’ll appear in the next volumes.
He shook his head "A pity I didn’t get to read the complete version" then he extended his hand as his mana made a sizzling sound.
Extending his hand, he pointed two fingers at the empty air "Blood Bullet" he chanted, the mana then made it’s way towards his pointed fingers, then a drop of blood emerged; slowly converging into that of a bullet.
Zeres tilted his head as he looked at the blood bullet hovering on his pointed fingers "Hmm, it’s slow" then he aimed it towards the empty air.
A tremble, his extended hand shook strongly, before the blood bullet before his fingers hurled at the empty air "Fuck, my mana’s already depleted just from that?" He hissed, then decided to meditate more.
The ancient temple was quiet, aside from the constant growls of monsters beyond the Temple’s barrier. Zeres’ meditation continued, unaware of the time; he sat still inside of the temple’s hallway, carefully absorbing and merging every mana around him.
_______________
Four months had passed
Zeres smiled softly, staring at the six-stars floating above, he had done it—he can finally leave this wretched place called Lilith, but before that, he needed to train; the world outside will be harsh, people having no morality will be wandering around everywhere. He had to be strong, if he wants to survive in a place that only benefits the worthy.
In an instant, a ringing sound echoed inside his head as a red interface appeared before him
[Congratulations host, you have successfully formed sixth-star! ]

Zeres squinted his eyes for a moment, then he smiled softly "this meditation method must be precious, it’s only four months, yet I’ve reached the realm of eclipse already. " still staring, he release a breath he’s been unconsciously holding.
"I need to train" He walked out of the temple cautiously, he still wasn’t sure if the four gargoyles guarding the temple would attack him, so he needed to be careful. Walking quietly, his plan immediately failed as he stepped into a dried leaves.
The sound of his footsteps stepping into dried leaves immediately alerted the four gargoyles "haa, there goes my plan" Zeres sighed, in an instant, he let his whole mana out; letting it rampage around him.
The four gargoyles who went to check the noise scanned him, their deep green tails moved quickly, and their hair was full of snakes hissing. Staring at Zeres, they all bowed systematically "It’s an honor to meet you, son of... " the gargoyle’s voices became static, as if someone had directly interfered.
The gargoyles continued to talk in a language he couldn’t understand "W̯ͤ̾ͣ͝ẹ̿͋̒̕r̴̨̦͕̝ẹ̿͋̒̕ ĝ̽̓̀͑l̙͖̑̾ͣā̤̓̍͘ḑ̴̞͛̒ t̲̂̓ͩ̑o̯̱̊͊͢ ḿ̬̏ͤͅẹ̿͋̒̕ẹ̿͋̒̕t̲̂̓ͩ̑ y҉̃̀̋̑o̯̱̊͊͢ư̴̡̨͕̭̦͕̝̇ s̠҉͍͊ͅo̯̱̊͊͢ṇ̤͛̒̍ o̯̱̊͊͢f̵͖̜̉ͅ •••••••"
Zeres halted on his tracks "Huh? " what did they say? He hoped it was just him hearing it wrongly, but the gargoyles bowing at him made him sure that what he heard is true. "This body is someone of importance, but I still can’t hear what they’re saying" Zeres shook his head, then he went outside of the barrier; his head was aching from trying to comprehend the gargoyle’s voices.
A faint shimmer, Zeres released some of his mana as he tried to detect some undeads, he needed to learn more spells, master it then after that; he’ll be safe searching for a way to go home.
After a moment of searching, he detected something "a horde?" Zeres then followed the direction where he’s sensed some presence. After arriving, the place was packed with ghouls, they were devouring something in the center.
Zeres let his mana coil through his feet "Wind step" he chanted, then he floated above the ground "Never mind, I’ll just use some spells on you guys" extending his hand, his mana sent a ripple on the empty air.
"Spears of the Darkblood" he chanted, the chants he used wasn’t known around the world, it was a forgotten one; and it was used by the protagonist herself.
I’ll probably be stuck here in sixth-star, my meditation will become useless if there’s no ’mana of origin’ so that means, I’ll have to master every spell I can use.
Countless dark maroon spears appeared behind Zeres, the spears blade gleaming with the use of two elements in one spell. The wind howled as he launched it, the ghouls, still unaware was all immediao pierced by the strong momentum coming from the spears
Withrawing his hands, Zeres clicked his tounge "Hmm, atleast the mana usage in every spell is manageable" He flicked his hands, then stared at the the mess he’d created. The ground was filled with the foul stench of rotten corpses, bones and skulls of the ghouls were pierced and mangled, what used to be a feast for the ghouls became their own deathbed.
Zeres was about to walked out, when a massive sword appeared and was about to struck him. The sound of metals clashing resounded at the across cursed forest. Zeres managed to deflect it by instincts, twisting his torso, he slammed his leg at the chin of the man who attacked him.
The sound of cracking bones echoed as the bald man with tattoos stepped back, clutching his shattered jaw, his nose profusely bleeding he glared "are you one of us? " the bald man asked.
"One of you? " Zeres’ brow arched, he had no idea what’s the man before him talking about.
The man clutched his jaw, then it healed instantly "So you’re not" he smiled madly, gripping his greatsword, his mana flared viciously—then he charged forward.
"What an unpleasant mana" Zeres twisted his torso, narrowly evading the man’s strike as he smashed his fist on the man’s temple, the bald man staggered, his mana dimmed—before it died down.
’Thankfully, my reflexes hadn’t dulled’ Zeres clenched his fist, then he lunged forward, too fast for the human eyes to see—before the bald man could react, Zeres legs slammed in his chest.
The bald man’s body hung limply in Zeres’ outstretched leg, before it fell down, the man’s eyes were bleeding then he vomited blood, a black blood with auwful stench.
He stared at the man’s crouched figure "Now, answer my question, how does a weak person like you able to reside here? " Zeres asked, it had been bugging him how a man with just the rank of Arcanist was able to live in Lilith.
"As if I’d tell you, just kill me! " the man sneered, his own blood covering his whole face.
"Then be my guest" Zeres swung his arms then the bald man’s head was sent flying.
