Yan Family

Yan Anhua didn’t go to the company today; he stayed at home waiting for Mrs. Yan and Yan Zhengnan.

Not only was he waiting, but Shi Ye was also there.

Seeing Mrs. Yan come back, the two quickly stood up.

"Mom, how did it go?"

Yan Anhua asked Mrs. Yan.

Mrs. Yan was full of anger and sat down, saying, "What can be done, Si Linna is really stubborn. She won’t agree to continue living with you no matter what and insists on getting a divorce."

Yan Zhengnan was quite upset too.

Shi Ye felt frustrated hearing this: "I never realized Ningning was that kind of person."

Mrs. Yan took a sip of water to calm her anger: "Let’s not talk about her. What do you plan to do? Si Linna has evidence, and she said she’ll grant three days to divorce. Otherwise, she’ll put your affairs online."

"That can’t happen."

Yan Anhua was shocked: "If it really gets online, how can we face anyone? Our Yan family would be utterly humiliated."

That’s precisely what Mrs. Yan feared.

"She has nothing to lose. If she really risks it all, we can’t do anything."

Yan Anhua nodded: "I’ll contact her tomorrow and get the divorce done early."

The next day, because of the late night with Shi Ye, Yan Anhua woke up late. After getting up, the company had some issues, so he didn’t have time to look for Si Linna.

On the third day, early in the morning, he called Si Linna.

The two took their ID cards, household registration, and marriage certificates to the civil affairs bureau.

Shi Ye was waiting at the entrance of the civil affairs bureau.

Seeing Si Linna, he went forward and called out, "Sis."

Si Linna ignored him entirely, making Shi Ye feel somewhat embarrassed.

He said softly, "Sis, I know what I did was wrong, but I couldn’t help it. I truly love Brother Anhua; I can’t live without him, so I..."

Si Linna raised her hand: "Don’t talk to me about your matters; I might lose my appetite from disgust."

Shi Ye dared not bring up past matters again, his eyes reddened, "Sis, what will you do after the divorce? You haven’t worked all these years... Brother Anhua and I discussed giving you a house and some money, enough for you to live on in the future."

Si Linna glanced at Shi Ye, "Better not. Since we’re divorcing, let’s do it cleanly; I don’t want your house or money."

She entered the civil affairs bureau first.

Yan Anhua followed in helplessly.

They didn’t drag out the matter and quickly completed the divorce procedures.

As they came out, Yan Anhua still told Si Linna, "If you ever have any difficulties in the future, you can come to me. After all, we’ve been married for years; I won’t just ignore you."

Si Linna smiled, looking up and down at Yan Anhua, "Difficulties? In all these years, the most trying and humiliating troubles were all brought by you. Going forward, not appearing in front of me would be the best for me. With these words, Si Linna hailed a cab and left.

Watching her leave, Yan Anhua sighed deeply.

Anning moved over a bit, "Please do."
