The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop
Chapter 746 - 15: Heavenly Master and the Former Slacker 15
"It won’t be for now." The boy shook his head, a relieved smile appearing on his face. "That malevolent ghost was severely injured by you and lost its ghost power."
"Won’t be for now? What do you mean? Does it mean you’ll disappear later? What should I do? How can I help you? Are you that high school senior who jumped off the building because of the overwhelming study pressure?" Cui Wenyan asked anxiously.
"I am a senior in high school, but I didn’t commit suicide by jumping off the building. It was that malevolent ghost that caused it. I found out he still wanted to harm others, so I’ve been stopping him. But every time I stop him, my soul weakens a bit. Even if you hadn’t come, I would have soon disappeared." The boy said with a bitter smile.
"That damn ghost, I’ll whip him to death!" Upon hearing this, Cui Wenyan was furious. He stood up, grabbing his whip to lash at the ghost.
"Women are all no good! They’re all bitches! You all should die!" The malevolent ghost, its body torn into two parts, continued to howl as Cui Wenyan approached.
"Has this guy been heartbroken by a woman?" Cui Wenyan muttered.
"Just got dumped by his girlfriend. So stupid, if this one doesn’t work out, just find another, the next one will be even better," the boy’s soul was growing fainter, but he couldn’t resist mocking and ridiculing.
"Right. This ghost is such a weakling, going to such lengths for someone who doesn’t love him anymore, turning into such a ghostly figure. Even if she saw him now, she wouldn’t regret her choice back then." Cui Wenyan also mocked.
"You two—bastards!" The ghost roared, its entire body suddenly swelling ten times its size, turning into a massive dark blob, opening its bloody mouth, ready to swallow Cui Wenyan and the boy.
Cui Wenyan was startled, turning to protect the boy.
In the next moment, a pleasant voice lazily rang out, "Oh dear, apprentice, I forgot to tell you the follow-up actions after catching a ghost."
"Master!" Hearing this voice, Cui Wenyan turned her head joyfully, then saw Tianmiao standing in front of the ghost. The ghost had reverted to its original form, its split body lying limply on the ground, unresponsive.
"There’s even a ghost with merit here." Tianmiao flicked her finger, a white light entered the boy’s body, causing his previously dim and dull soul to solidify.
The boy stood up in amazement, looked at his hands, then lowered his head to look at his body, his eyes filled with incredulity and joy.
"Apprentice, learn this hand technique." Tianmiao walked up to Cui Wenyan and lightly tapped her finger on Cui Wenyan’s forehead.
In Cui Wenyan’s mind, a hand technique immediately appeared, and she quickly memorized it.
"Got it?" A minute later, Tianmiao asked Cui Wenyan.
"Got it." Cui Wenyan nodded.
"Perform this hand technique then." Tianmiao said casually.
"Okay." Cui Wenyan obediently nodded and quickly performed the hand technique. A peculiar rhythm began to spread.
"Master, what is this for?" Cui Wenyan asked curiously.
"To summon the nearest Ghost Messenger, let him come collect the soul, and take it back to the Underworld for judgment." Tianmiao said nonchalantly.
Cui Wenyan gave an ’oh’ with a nod. Because of Tianmiao’s casual tone, Cui Wenyan misunderstood, thinking this operation was a routine procedure for a Ghost Hunter. She had no idea that such an operation is something completely unattainable for beginners. Even masters have to exert great effort to possibly connect with the Ghost Messengers.
And so, a beautiful misunderstanding was born.
And in the future, such misunderstandings would increase in number.
