Chapter 1022: Chapter 703: Sweeping Destruction

On the desolate battlefield, there was utter chaos.

Not long ago, this place was filled with lush greenery, but now it has been ravaged into a wasteland by the Ratmen.

These Ratmen, like hungry maggots, devoured and shredded everything in their path.

Once this tundra became a battlefield, the already desolate land became even more filthy.

"Boom!"

A scorching energy beam descended from the sky, mercilessly cutting through the earth.

Twelve Floating Fortress released sulfur-colored light streams from their underbellies, as their Alchemy rune cannons roared, instantly turning flesh and stone into boiling rivers of magma.

"Ahhh!"

Tormented screams echoed one after another. The fur of the Ratmen ignited instantaneously, turning them into moving fireballs, screaming and rolling.

Fireballs, like meteors, fell from the sky, crashing directly into a Ratman watchtower.

This tower, resembling a pile of garbage, exploded instantly, turning into a heap of ruins before catching fire.

In the distance, Ratman Priests gathered, raising their Bone Staffs high. A vortex of Chaos formed around them, offering the lives on the battlefield as sacrifices, attempting to summon a projection of the Evil God.

In an instant, thirty-seven intersecting laser beams carved the entire tundra into a smoking checkerboard. The magic beams of the Fire Element crazily swept around, instantly slicing countless Ratmen under their rays before they could even scream and vaporize.

"Rumble!"

War machines sped through the barren battlefield. These vehicles, crafted from Metal with rugged exteriors, appeared extremely Solid and durable.

The Dwarf war machines, like sharp blades, slashed the horizon. They charged forward with drills, directly ramming into the massive troll-like Ratmen, toppling these war behemoths and running over their bodies with wheels, their sharp gears ruthlessly tearing through flesh.

The hinged wheels rolled forward, crushing heaps of Plague Ratmen. The Enchanted tracks, even when covered with gore, thundered onward without pause.

The rotating turret atop the vehicle spat blue flames, as Magic Crystal bullets whistled out, causing the four-armed tyrant Ratmen to convulse, turning into blood gourds.

Before the corrosive black blood could splatter onto the armor, it was evaporated completely by Purification rune.

Inside the Dwarf war machine "Skullcrusher," the driver Glona pulled the lever sharply, rejoicing at the satisfying crunch from the right front of the vehicle.

"Haha, seven down!" The lookout’s laughter came from above; seven armored Ratmen were swept into the revolving wheels.

The monitor constantly flashed rune alerts for "Track Purification Program Activated". After all, it wasn’t every time that Ratmen instantly turned to ash, and if the flesh stayed on the tracks for too long, it would affect the vehicle’s speed.

The conditions inside the war machine were tough, especially intense during activation and fierce battles, making it as stifling as a large pressure cooker.

When Glona pressed the ball-shaped handle to fire buckshot, the onboard system suddenly issued an alarm.

"Six-legged Demon at twelve o’clock," the lookout shouted.

The Half-Elf gunner in the co-pilot seat switched frantically to Alchemy armor-piercing rounds.

In the next second, purple blood splattered all over the cockpit—they watched as half a Demon body got stuck on the ram, the creature frantically clawing at the exterior armor with its reverse-jointed limbs.

"Woohoo! That guy was smashed to bits by the Dwarf King’s hammer!" Enthusiastic cheers came from the lookout above, clearly also a Dwarf.

"Well, let us praise him," the Half-Elf remarked with a chuckle.

"If only he could craft me a Weapon, it would be even better," the driver muttered quietly.

Meanwhile, the Night Watcher’s Soul Guardian squad maneuvered nimbly across the battlefield.

These silent killing experts leapt from a Teleportation Array, enveloped in Magic Power.

They thrust various High Level Weapons into the Demon Apostles’ abdomens, sending purple-black innards splattering out.

A Ratman Chieftain just raised a War Axe embedded with skulls, yet before he could attack, his head was shattered to bone fragments by the crossfire of seven Alchemy guns.

"Damn, too few prey targets, everyone’s trying to snatch them," a distant Elf Ranger with an Alchemy gun quipped, winking.

Whenever a high-value target appeared, it was immediately targeted by multiple Weapons and then shot through. So how to tally the battle achievements? It all depended on luck.

At this moment, the sky seemed ablaze, the earth let out an agonized wail. The Ratmen began their counterattack.

They conducted numerous sacrifices, under the watchful gaze of many Evil Gods, here any sacrifice could easily channel the descent of Evil Gods’ Power.

And the numerous Evil Gods were only too happy to project their Power here.

Numerous Demons emerged from the torn spaces, intending to wreak havoc on the battlefield.

"Boom!"

Again, the earth shook. A giant tentacle of an Evil God burst forth at a Ratman fortress, crushing the fortress to ruin before shooting straight toward the sky.

This tentacle was massive and exaggerated in size, visible to everyone on the battlefield.

Attached to the ground, it waved continuously; every swing scattered chunks of flesh with the aura of an Evil God, which then launched attacks on the surroundings.

As the enormous tentacle flailed wildly through the air, it swatted a Floating Fortress instantaneously. A thick Magic Shield promptly surrounded the Floating Fortress, barely withstanding the blow.

The main cannons of Floating Fortresses in other directions immediately opened fire; instantly, the three-kilometer long Evil God tentacle was pinned to the scorched earth by Light Spears, straining to break free.

"Concentrate fire! Destroy it!" The command was swiftly relayed.

Everyone understood that this thing had to be dealt with swiftly, lest it bring unnecessary casualties to their side.

Magical cannons continuously bombarded, causing the indescribable mass of flesh to incessantly explode and regenerate. Chaos Magic splattered in all directions.

Subsequently, a tidal wave of attacks surged in. The tentacle was instantly submerged in the explosions of intertwined artillery and Magic.

A faint wailing emanated from the Void, indicating that this part of the Evil God, whatever it may have been, had suffered severe damage.

The war machine columns seized this opportunity to advance, with onboard flamethrowers turning the escaping Rat swarms into ground-rolling fireballs.

Bones shattered under steel tracks, gun barrels overloaded with Magic Power glowed dark red. Each round of volleys carved radial trenches of flesh and blood through the Ratman army formations.

The United Army advanced like a hot knife through butter. Their counterattack from the rear left the Ratmen unable to organize an effective response.

The artillery thundered, Magic Power spilled everywhere. The United Army forces cleared every obstacle on the ground, advancing steadily.

Their progress was nearly unhindered; any Ratmen standing in their way were reduced to ash by their ferocious firepower.

Advance, bombard, slaughter.

Bodies turned to ash, wounded allies were promptly transported to healing platforms. Floating Fortresses hovered steadily in the air.

At the center of the United Army’s formation, the ground slightly bulged. The Flying Dragon still lurked within, quietly waiting.

As of now, no opponent worthy of their action had appeared. The United Army simply kept pushing forward methodically, enough to wipe out all enemies standing in their path.

"I can’t let you advance so easily anymore."

The voice from the Shadow crept in like a ghostly presence, adding a layer of unknown gloominess to the fierce battle.
