So until he doesn’t need to pay any lifespan to pass through the crystal shield, he won’t take a single step through it. It can be said that he is being extremely cautious.

He thought his plan was a good plan, but Money Body didn’t like it at all. Of course, Money Body wasn’t concerned for Loki’s safety, so there was no way he was going to be happy with Loki’s overly cautious approach.

Just earlier, Money Body had been hoping to get through the crystal shield fast enough that the crystal shield would remain mostly undamaged and strong enough to be a deterrent to the rest of his team.

If he had been in control of the mission, he would have generously weakened the crystal shield so that the other three would be able to pass through without much of a problem. But now that he had lost the initiative, he was hoping that Loki would be killed by the crystal shield.

His plan should have worked because very few people should have known what he was capable of. So no one should have blamed him for the weakness of others.

But for some reason, Loki knew exactly what he was capable of and even knew what he was up to. So he had to weaken the crystal shield more than he would have done voluntarily if he were the leader.

This put him in a bad mood because the power he used to weaken the crystal shield was not free. It cost him a lot of divine merit points and lifespan. There was also the unpleasant fact that a rank 6 runt had been able to thwart his plan and order him around.

All of these things made him promise himself, saying, ’I have to make this mission end as soon as possible, one way or another. Then I will have fun killing that bastard.’

’I will crack his body open like an egg and enter the Cave Heaven of his alliance. We will see how funny he will find the situation then.’

While he was fantasizing about the future he hoped for, he finally breached the crystal shield. His head popped through the sky of Oceania and looked down below. What met his gaze were the eyes of a great serpent.

The great serpent was also looking at him. The eyes of the two powerhouses met. The great serpent was looking at him with a puzzling gaze, while he was looking at the great serpent with a gaze full of surprise and excitement.

In his excitement, his eyes roamed across the body of the great serpent. He saw that it had a body that extended from one end of the world to the other. It was truly a serpent that encompassed the whole world.

The great serpent was so big that he couldn’t see its entire size with his eyes. Fortunately, his Insight Stat was there to help him, and he had a range of perception that encompassed the entire world.

Even with his eyes, he was able to see that the great serpent possessed a crown of golden horns on its head. The eyes of the serpent were also golden.

Unlike normal snakes, the eyes of the great serpent weren’t a vertical slit. Instead, the great serpent possessed hexagonal pupils and an iris. It also had three pairs of eyes.

The pupils of the six eyes were a bright white light while the irises were golden. As for the rest of the serpent, they were white like the pupils.

All of these things that he saw helped Money Body to confirm the identity of this great serpent. So his eyes lit up as he said to himself, ’So there really are true dragons in this world. It seems my plan can work.’

He was excited about the prospect of success for what he had planned for this world. But he suddenly remembered that he wasn’t alone and was being followed by an annoying fellow. This doused his excitement greatly.

He frowned and said, ’Now I don’t want the mission to end yet. If it is confirmed that dragons are here, I won’t be able to keep this world for myself. So this mission has to be kept going long enough until I am done with my plan.’

’But how do I go about this? How do I keep my mission while getting rid of that Gold Body?`

While he was thinking about how to eat his cake and have it, the six golden, bright eyes of the great serpent all began staring up at the gap in the crystal shield in anger.

In response, Money Body sneered at the great serpent and said, "What are you looking at me for? It is not like you can do anything to us." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"You’re just an overgrown snake. I eat snakes like you every day as a snake. Snakes like you are not even my main meal. You’re at best, a side dish."

"That’s just me. My leader is even more dangerous than I am. My leader is golden and is currently outside of the crystal shield. But once he gains access to your world, he will eat you like eating a shrimp. That’s what my leader said."

The great serpent didn’t like what he said at all and roared at him in anger. In fact, what he said had only made the great serpent angrier.

The great serpent roared into the sky at him and activated its Divine Metacs. So, as it roared, a jet of water shot out of its mouth and rushed into the sky.

The jet of water was black and full of whirling water blades that were constantly exploding every moment. When it smashed into Money Body’s face, it crushed his head and slammed into his body.

Money Body quickly retreated in the face of the attack. So the jet of water followed him into the crystal shield.

To be honest, he wasn’t feigning weakness at all. The power of that attack was too strong for him. It wasn’t something he could block without sacrificing a lot of lifespan.
