The Invincible Strongest Student
Chapter 707: Anti-Virus Operation
With Chen Moxiang guiding him, Lin Tian drove the car into the Combat Training Area.
On both sides of the wide road, willow trees were planted, "the jade-green foliage adorning tall trees, thousands of drooping green threads."
Soon, the car passed by the training grounds, and Lin Tian saw formation blocks reminiscent of tofu, as well as soldiers in training. They continued practicing hard in short sleeves, sweating profusely under the sun despite the weather.
Their skin was dark but full of masculine vigor.
Lin Tian didn’t linger and continued driving until the car reached a building’s edge. Chen Moxiang said, "We’re here."
Lin Tian parked the car. Then the four of them headed toward the building.
This building didn’t have a specific name; only a large ’A’ was written at the entrance.
The group of four walked into Building A. This building appeared to be an office area; people coming and going were dressed in green military uniforms, some carrying briefcases, others holding stacks of files. Lin Tian and the others seemed rather out of place here.
As they walked, Qiao Gaoshan and Qiao Jiang kept their eyes straight ahead, adhering to the principle of "don’t look where you shouldn’t, don’t listen to what you shouldn’t."
Lin Tian was different, like a monkey, always looking around as if he felt at home, completely at ease.
Seeing his behavior, Chen Moxiang was amused yet annoyed, keeping a stern face as she said, "I’ll give you a proper tour next time if you want. But isn’t discussing the main issue more important now?"
At the mention of this, Lin Tian became serious. To be honest, there wasn’t much interesting in this building.
Chen Moxiang led them to the door of an office on the third floor, knocked on the door, and waited for a response before entering first.
Lin Tian followed inside. Upon entering the office, the first thing he noticed was the simple decor: a set of office desk and chairs, a computer, a file cabinet, a tea table, and a wooden long bench—this encompassed all the furnishings within.
Behind the desk sat a middle-aged man in a clean, neat military uniform, his rosy complexion indicating robust health.
Chen Moxiang saluted first, staring intently ahead, and exclaimed, "Greetings, Leader!"
Lin Tian hurriedly straightened up and saluted, "Greetings, Leader!"
Qiao Gaoshan and Qiao Jiang also pretended to salute, echoing a greeting.
Xiang Jingyao lifted his eyes and chuckled, "Moxiang, you busy bee, never visiting without reason. You’re not coming here to poach people again, are you? I won’t agree to that."
In the past, Chen Moxiang would have bantered and joked with him, but today, she was obviously serious and not in the mood for that.
Xiang Jingyao noticed her expression and waved, saying, "Sit down, let’s discuss the matter seated."
Chen Moxiang sat down without hesitation, and Lin Tian naturally followed suit.
"Leader, here’s the situation..."
Having listened to a brief overview of the situation, Xiang Jingyao asked, "Do you know what kind of virus it is?"
"I don’t know... But I know it’s a liquid. As for its exact purpose, I have no idea. I’ve asked a lot, but they won’t tell me." Qiao Gaoshan responded frankly.
Xiang Jingyao frowned more deeply. Liquid is also a main method of viral transmission. If it were poured into the river, who knows how many would contract that virus.
It could be acute, it could be chronic. It might cause death, or it might not, could damage certain human organs or affect future generations, it’s all uncertain.
Killing people is unlikely since this is Kanyue City; if something happens here, the virus would be easily detected. Then, the wrath of the Celestial Dragon Continent is not something easy to bear.
But all these are Xiang Jingyao’s personal speculations. No matter what virus it is, it must be stopped at the source!
This matter is beyond what the army can handle; apart from the military police, only people from the Security Management Institute can deal with it.
"Moxiang, how many of your Sixth Squadron are currently on standby?"
"Around eighty are on standby in Kanyue City," Chen Moxiang answered honestly.
Xiang Jingyao nodded and seriously commanded, "Captain Chen Moxiang, heed the order!"
Chen Moxiang promptly stood up from her chair, walked upright to Xiang Jingyao.
"Mobilize all standby members of the Sixth Squadron to participate in tonight’s operation. Operation code: Neutralize the Virus!"
"Understood!" Chen Moxiang saluted.
Xiang Jingyao then shifted his gaze to Lin Tian, his clear eyes examining him, smiling, "So, you’re Lin Tian?"
Lin Tian was surprised that this leader would recognize him, immediately nodding, "You know me?"
"Hahaha, how could I not know? Your medical skills have made your reputation soar, and you’re quite a hero! Just for being part of Moxiang’s team last time, you could be awarded a first-class merit. Too bad you’re not interested in joining our Security Management Institute."
His words stunned Lin Tian a bit. This is the Combat Training Area, not the Security Management Institute; yet this leader referred to it as "our Security Management Institute."
Upon careful thought, he could directly command Chen Moxiang. If he isn’t from the Security Management Institute, how’s that possible? It’s an organization that neither the military nor police can manage.
"Haha, I’m used to being carefree, can’t endure restraints," Lin Tian chuckled, "Besides, I’m a nominal member now, isn’t that the same?"
"Hahaha." Mr. Xiang laughed again. His life has been spent in the military. What he loves most are straightforward personalities like this, much better than those who enjoy scheming.
"I heard Moxiang share similar reasons. I assume you misunderstand our Security Management Institute?"
Xiang Jingyao said, "Let me briefly introduce the Security Management Institute. In reality, the public isn’t aware of our usual identities; many of our members conceal their identities as businessmen, journalists, scholars, etc. Therefore, there are usually no tasks unless something comes up, plus there’s decent welfare—why not enjoy it?"
Lin Tian helplessly chuckled; this leader speaks like some cunning uncle tricking little girls.
"Leader, you must understand my intentions. Although I’m only a nominal member, whenever you need my aid for an operation, I have never refused to help, right? Like tonight, I volunteered to participate," Lin Tian smiled.
Chen Moxiang listened beside him, secretly curling her lips; she wouldn’t believe Lin Tian’s claim.
This guy never acts without hidden motives, taking part in the operation must have undisclosed reasons.
Xiang Jingyao chuckled and waved his hand, "Forget it, everyone has their ambitions. If you change your mind in the future, our Security Management Institute is always open for you."
