The Invincible Strongest Student
Chapter 793: Qingcheng Discharged from the Hospital
After Bai Shishi left, Lin Tian returned to Mei Ruyan’s room and checked her pulse, which was very stable; she was just weak and still sleeping.
Lin Tian had encountered this situation a few times before, so there was no need to worry too much.
After feeding Mei Ruyan some oatmeal, Lin Tian left the villa, driving the SUV from last night, and headed to the hospital.
Lin Tian first went to Liou Qingcheng’s ward and the first thing he saw was Liou Zhengming sitting on the sofa dealing with some documents.
"Dad..."
Liou Zhengming looked up, glanced at Lin Tian, and said faintly, "You’re here. Qingcheng just woke up for a while and then fell asleep again."
After speaking, Liou Zhengming picked up the pen again and buried himself in the documents on the table.
Over time, although Liou Zhengming was not as angry as before, his attitude towards Lin Tian was neither good nor bad.
Lin Tian nodded, then walked to Liou Qingcheng’s bedside. He looked at her complexion, her pulse, and her tongue coating.
Her body was very normal, even better than the last time he saw her. This improvement surely couldn’t happen without the care of Liou Zhengming and his wife.
However, compared to before, Liou Zhengming had lost a lot of weight. It was unclear whether Lin Tian’s treatment plan was working or if he was simply worried too much about Liou Qingcheng, causing him to lose about two circles in size. Yet, he seemed dispirited.
Lin Tian held Liou Qingcheng’s slightly cool hand, turned around, and said to Liou Zhengming on the sofa, "Dad, let’s discharge Qingcheng from the hospital. I’ve found the medicine to save her."
As soon as he heard this, Liou Zhengming suddenly lifted his head and looked at Lin Tian seriously, asking in a trembling voice, "Really?"
Lin Tian smiled wryly, "How could I possibly lie to you about something like this?"
"Good, good." Liou Zhengming’s chubby face was filled with a gratified smile, and inadvertently his eyes also became teary.
Liou was already a bit impatient; he stood up and exclaimed happily, "Discharge! Let’s discharge her now! Right, have you told your mom about this?"
"No, I thought she would be here, so I came directly." Lin Tian replied.
"She’s got work at the company these days. Let’s get Qingcheng out first and then tell her in the evening."
"Okay." Lin Tian naturally had no objections to this.
After sorting out the documents casually, Liou left to handle the discharge procedures for Liou Qingcheng.
When Liou returned, he saw Lin Tian taking off his jacket and putting it on Liou Qingcheng. He was a bit emotional, realizing his daughter now had another man to take care of her.
Instantly, Liou Zhengming’s eyes became teary again.
Liou Zhengming rubbed his moist eyes with his hand and said, "Lin Tian, should I have someone send some clothes over? Don’t catch a cold."
"No need, the car is parked downstairs. The air conditioning is on, and we’ll be there soon. It’s fine."
As he spoke, Lin Tian carried Liou Qingcheng on his back, with Liou Zhengming following behind with two bags in hand.
After returning to the villa, Lin Tian directly placed Liou Qingcheng on a bed, covered her with a quilt, and then returned to the living room with Liou Zhengming.
"Lin Tian, didn’t you say you have medicine that can cure Qingcheng? Where is it?"
"Dad, don’t worry. Although I have the medicine, it can’t be used right now. I’m also anxious about Qingcheng’s condition..."
Before Lin Tian could finish speaking, Liou Zhengming waved his hand and said, "Alright, alright. You’re the doctor; you know best how to use the medicine. I won’t understand your explanations anyway. By the way, where is this place? I remember your home isn’t here, right?"
Lin Tian laughed, "This is a friend’s house, currently vacant, so I borrowed it. You know, if we were in the original house, a lot of people would come seeking medical help, which would just lead to unnecessary trouble."
Although this reason was somewhat flimsy, Liou Zhengming didn’t pursue it further. A villa, after all, wasn’t worth that much concern.
"By the way, dad... I saw you were still handling documents at the hospital, you must be busy? How about you... head back to the company first?"
Liou Zhengming’s eyes immediately became sharp, looking at Lin Tian, and asked, "Are you trying to send me away?"
"Dad, you’re wronging me here. I have Qingcheng already taken care of, and I’m confident I can look after her. Important figures like you value every second as money, wasting it would be unfortunate."
"Lin Tian!" Liou Zhengming suddenly raised his voice, "Do you think I would believe that?"
"Alright, then... actually, I need to do alchemy... the medicine for Qingcheng, it can’t be disturbed."
Upon hearing this, related to his precious daughter, Liou Zhengming’s expression softened a bit.
In Liou Zhengming’s heart, nothing is more important than his family.
"Couldn’t you have said so earlier? Had to say so much nonsense. Fine, I won’t disturb you, I’m leaving..." After taking a few steps, Liou Zhengming seemed to remember something, turned and asked, "When I’m gone, will you be able to take good care of her?"
"Hey, the way you say that, she’s my wife, of course, I can."
"Hmm, it’s good for young people to have a sense of responsibility. I will leave Qingcheng to you for now, but if you fail to take care of her, your mother and I won’t forgive you." Liou Zhengming said authoritatively, in a serious tone.
"Don’t worry, Dad. By the way, it isn’t easy to get a taxi here, I’ll drive you to the company."
...
After driving Liou Zhengming back to the company, Lin Tian took the car back to the hospital once more.
The real reason for sending Liou Zhengming away was actually to bring Xu Ning’an back as well.
If Liou Zhengming and Yan Xinrou found out that there were two beautiful women, Mei Ruyan and Xu Ning’an, in the villa, Lin Tian’s days ahead wouldn’t be easy.
Of course, Lin Tian wasn’t trying to juggle too many women at once. The situation was just too dangerous now; keeping Xu Ning’an in the hospital could have led to irreversible consequences if something happened.
Lin Tian arrived at Xu Ning’an’s ward door and knocked.
"Come in."
It was Xu Ning’an’s voice, very cold, without any warmth, which instantly made Lin Tian frown.
It was known that Xu Ning’an’s usual voice and tone were definitely not like this.
This icy tone was one that Lin Tian had only heard when Xu Ning’an had broken her leg, having lost all hope in life.
"Could the condition have worsened? It shouldn’t be; the prescriptions I gave matched her symptoms well." Lin Tian thought to himself.
Bracing for the worst, Lin Tian pushed the door open and walked in.
Entering the room, the first thing Lin Tian saw was Xu Ning’an leaning against the hospital bed, looking up at the ceiling.
For a moment, Lin Tian had a misconception. Could this girl have developed depression?
