The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast
Chapter 1576: Before and After Plastic Surgery Photos
The man held her hand and entered the building, the elevator was functioning normally, and they went straight to the 24th floor.
"I’m a bit scared." She hid in the man’s arms, as the lights in the hallway were broken, leaving the whole floor in darkness.
"Don’t be afraid, there are always people working here, it’s an office building now, but everyone’s off work, so the main power was turned off."
He seemed very familiar with the place and felt his way to the main switch.
The lights in the hallway turned on all at once, and the nanny breathed a sigh of relief, calming down.
"Do you want to go up and take a look?"
"We can go further up?" The nanny slightly furrowed her brows.
"The elevator only goes this far, if you want to see the inside structure of the big clock, we’ll have to go up from here using the stairs, follow me."
The man held her hand and led her up the stairs.
The nanny felt apprehensive and wanted to refuse, not interested in seeing the inside of the clock, but seeing the man’s enthusiasm, the refusal at the tip of her tongue turned into, "Alright."
She was older than him, she always had to indulge him a bit.
He wanted to see, so she went with him to take a look.
They climbed to the top floor via the stairs, wanting to enter inside the clock, but were blocked by an iron gate, and could only glimpse through the iron bars with a rough look.
The man seemed to talk to himself, "Have you ever heard the story of the Clock Tower Phantom?"
The story was old and classic, the nanny had seen it when she was younger too.
She nodded, "I’ve seen it."
The man spoke softly, "It would be nice if he lived in this era."
"What?"
"This era has cosmetic surgery technology, no matter how ugly, you can become beautiful."
The nanny lowered her eyes, "That’s true. Many young girls are fans today, even knowing all of H Country has plastic surgeries, they still love it."
"And you?"
"Me? What?"
"Do you care about cosmetic surgery?"
The nanny was stunned, carefully scrutinizing the man’s face, such a handsome face, not a hint of artificiality, it didn’t seem like he had plastic surgery.
"I... don’t care."
"Haha, you answered slowly and hesitantly, seems like you don’t actually not care as you say."
"No... it’s not that."
"What are you worried about? Afraid that I’ve had plastic surgery, worried that saying you care would hurt me?"
"I..."
"Be honest, I like to hear the truth."
"A little, but it doesn’t really matter, I’m more concerned with the inside. I would worry if the other person couldn’t close their eyes to sleep at night. Maybe I don’t really understand cosmetic surgery, it’s all hearsay."
"So, if you could close your eyes at night to sleep and there weren’t any weird places, you wouldn’t care at all."
The nanny nodded, her gaze sincere, "Actually... I’ve had some cosmetic work done too, everyone has a love for beauty."
"Can you close your eyes at night?"
The nanny’s smile became stiff, "At first I couldn’t, but later it recovered and got better."
"Let me show you a photo." He pulled a photo out from his bag, not the kind saved on a phone, but a somewhat old-looking photo.
The man in the photo was wearing a firefighter’s uniform, smiling very brightly, slightly chubby but his brows exuded righteousness, giving a vague sense of familiarity.
She raised her head in surprise, looking at the man in front of her, that sense of familiarity became very strong.
It’s him!
"Is this you? But why..." The person in the photo may not be extremely handsome, but still quite good-looking, there was no need for cosmetic surgery.
"Do you want to ask why I had cosmetic surgery?"
The man pulled another photo from his bag, this time showing someone lying on a hospital bed, face covered in burns.
