Alexander stood on the curb tapping his screen while waiting for a Lyft because it was the cheapest option the app could find. He was still fixing his tie when the girl from last night stepped out onto the sidewalk "Why haven’t you left yet?" said the girl.

"Waiting for my ride you want to share?" said Alexander.

"No thanks mine is already here" said the girl. A car pulled up and honked as her friend stared at Alexander through the windshield with wide eyes "Who is that hottie? He looks so familiar wait isn’t he the guy from the drama club?" said the friend.

"Yeah that’s the Theater Prince and it looks like he finally broke his vow of celibacy" said the girl.

The friend’s jaw practically hit the steering wheel "Are you serious no way! You fucked him? You dirty bitch why didn’t you invite me? I’ve wanted a piece of that forever but he was always such a frigid monk" said the friend.

Alexander had no idea but he had a massive reputation at the university as the Prude Prince of the drama club since at least twenty girls had asked him out and over a hundred had tried to get in his pants while he always turned them down. People thought he was either too stupid to notice or just gay but the word was out that the Prince was finally on the market. The friend slammed the car into gear and did a wild U-turn in the middle of the street with tires screeching as cars honked "We’re giving him a ride why did you try to keep him all to yourself?" said the friend.

But when they reached the curb Alexander was gone because his Lyft had already picked him up "Shit he’s gone!" said the friend as she floored the gas toward campus "We have to get to school fast because I need to catch him before the other sluts find out this prime cut of steak is finally for sale and they won’t even leave me the scraps."

Alexander reached the university gates with his lungs burning and sprinted through the hallways until he reached the door to the Finance hall and burst inside gasping for air. The room went dead silent as Professor Isabella Vance stood at the front looking at him with eyes like ice "Mr. Alexander you know my rules you’re either early or you don’t exist" said Professor Vance.

"Professor I—" said Alexander.

"Out I’ll see you at the retake exam don’t waste any more of my time" said Professor Vance.

"Dammit" Alexander muttered under his breath as he backed out of the room feeling the eyes of the entire class on him. Isabella Vance was a powerhouse and a financial shark who gave the university prestige just by showing up so being late was a disaster. Depressed and frustrated Alexander headed toward the library where he spotted Marcus sitting at a corner table.

When Marcus saw Alexander he waved his arms and started to shout "Hey Alex over—"

"SHHH...!!!" said the librarian.

The sound cut through the air like a whip coming from Lily the head librarian who was a total library mouse on a full scholarship working part-time because she was dirt poor. "I’m sorry we’re so sorry" said Alexander as he and Marcus both bowed their heads in apology. Lily gave them a sharp lingering look through her thick lenses before turning back to her books. Alexander sat down across from Marcus leaning his head on the table.

Marcus leaned back with a smug grin on his face and looked at Alexander who looked like he’d just been run over by a truck "You got a free period too man?" said Marcus.

"No the Iron Lady you know how she is" said Alexander.

"One minute late?" said Marcus.

"Five" said Alexander.

Marcus whistled while shaking his head "Damn you know you’re dead right because she’s going to make the retake exam a nightmare" said Marcus. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"I know I’m officially dead" said Alexander.

"Well it’s not the end of the world how was your night and did you get some rest?" said Marcus.

"Not much I’m exhausted" said Alexander.

"How come because I remember dropping you off at your house like the little princess you are haha" said Marcus.

Alexander glared at him "Go to hell, I went out for a burger and a girl started flirting with me" said Alexander.

"I get it I get it! The Prude Prince finally drew his sword to slay all the pussies in the university?" said Marcus.

"Screw you who the hell is the Prude Prince?" said Alexander.

"You are idiot because everyone calls you that" said Marcus.

"SHHHH...!!!" said Lily.

The librarian Lily marched over to their table looking furious behind her thick glasses "One more sound and I’m banning both of you for the rest of the month" said Lily.

They both froze because they had been making way too much noise for a study zone. Alexander waited until she walked away before leaning in close.
