The Novel's Draft
Chapter 49 - 135
Filling up on equipment, we then followed Incus.
Because of her sudden leave, she called for the servants to appoint Alleus to become the stand in king.
"What if she refuses your majesty?"
"Has she passed the mock up and the real final exams?"
The servant then nodded.
"Then there should be no problem, and if there ever happens to be a raid, deploy the strongest of the kingdom immediately, spare no funds to hire adventurers to back them up if we lack the knights to do so... expand our recruitment to our kingdom’s villages."
Looking up at the draft written I scowled.
Incus was deluding herself as a savior.
She really has lost her mind.

Chapter 135: Journey to the water kingdom of Febritust
...
’I really am the greatest king this kingdom has ever seen, my kindness truly is unbound. As trees fall and turn into structures, my roots shall make this world one without violence.’ Incus thought, looking somberly at the view of people working hard.
As she walked to the gates, she waved her hand to the people, occasionally stopped to pick up a ball and throw it back or aid old civilians with their tasks.
Upon reaching the gates, the guards immediatly saluted.
"Hero Incus, wait no—Your majesty! What is the purpose of your visit?"
Pointing at the gates, Incus gently smiled.
"If you wouldn’t mind, there’s somewhere that I have to go."
"Open the gates—!"
Interupting the guard, Incus said:
"Don’t worry, I’ll open it myself."
Placing her hands on the towering thick iron gates, they slowly began opening.
Civilians and guards stopped what they were doing to watch the spectacle.
As she pushed the gates open, the sunlight peered through.
Soon, Incus had then opened it, and the crowd erupted into a sea of praises and claps.
Walking through the gates, Incus raised a hand, as they began to slowly close.

Her journey was nothing too spectacular, she would hunt down animals, set up fire and eat.

Camping near Incus, I turned towards Lieur.
"Hey, do you still have that paper on the hero’s wind techniques?"
She then pulled out and threw my a folded piece of paper.
Catching it, I unfolded it.
"Sorry captain, but I forgot to tell you that her blood smudged the second and third technique." Said Lieur, her tone apologetic but uncaring at the same time.
"It’s alright." I dismissingly waved a hand.
Reading the instructions it wrote:
[The first technique of the wind style is to forge wind with one’s mana, forming a vortex.]
That can’t be all that’s written?
Looking down, and flipping the page back in forth I sighed.
"That damn hero must’ve been a lazy drunk."
"Ring, you shouldn’t insult someone you’ve never met before." Alleus scolded.
Throwing her the paper, she began reading.
"Nevermind."

[Chapter 135: Journey to the water kingdom of Febritust]
This continued for a while.
However she soon reached an inn situated deep in the forest.
Inside was a group of adventurers sitting around the lounging area.
"Will you be staying over for the night madam?" The front desk clerk asked.
Dropping a few cold coins, Incus opened her hand for the key for her room.
Looking at the clerk, she asked:
"...What’s the hold up? Are you going to give me my room or not?"
"M-ma’am this is too much, and I have never seen this many—"
Sighing, Incus dismissed her.
"Then just think of it as an investment, so just give me the key to my room."
Nodding, the clerk immediately pulled out a drawer which contained a neatly array of keys.
"Room four, down the hall to the left." The clerk pointed.
As Incus headed towards her room, she couldn’t help but notice that the adventurers were headed outside.
Inside her room, she noticed that there was a basket full of bread and other snacks.
’This must be a luxury room. I suppose the best such as myself must be treated with the highest quality life can offer... if only it had a TV then it would be just like a hotel.’
Eating the food in the basket, she plopped down on the bed.
Rolling around the bed, she found that she couldn’t sleep.
In a sour mood, she stepped out and headed outside.
The adventurers from earlier was sitting around a campfire eating skewered fish from the riverbank next to the inn.
As she approached, one of them noticed.
"Hey you, come sit down with us..!" The adventurer looked like Dragonborn which made Incus weary.
Her hair was long and had the hue of red at the at the top which gradually turned to black.
Sitting down, one of the adventurer’s buff and rugged looking asked:
"So what’s someone like you journeying alone? Not that I’m underestimating you but I’m just curious."
Incus then shamelessly grabbed one of the skewered fish that was getting cooked over the fire.
"I’m headed to Febritust." Incus answered with her mouth full.
"The water kingdom? What’s so special there?" A different adventurer asked, who had swords on her back.
’It seems that they haven’t heard of the news yet... well, it’s not like there’s a news broadcasting station to inform everybody.’
Finishing the skewered, stick she grabbed another one.
"I’m just headed there to visit, they’ve requested for my help."
The party of adventurer’s then looked at each other, gesturing that the woman who had just sat with them might be a delusional wanderer.
"So what about you all, where are you headed to?" Incus asked, tilting her head to look at them.
"We’re headed to the kingdom of Jansoara, we heard from another group of adventurers that we came across upon that they were looking for people like us."
Throwing a stick into the fire, Incus grabbed another skewered fish.
"I suppose that you’re headed there for money, once were younger, I too had dreams of being in endless riches. But after I’ve become king of Jansoara, I now bathe in it."
The party of adventurers looked at each other, gesturing that Incus is most definitely a lunatic.
"But enough about me, tell me about yourselves."
Incus pointed a skewer at the adventurer who had long red to black hair.
"Me? I became an adventurer after I graduated as a student from Soptemstadt, there was a lot of carnage in the world and I wanted to help protect the lives of others in anyway I can... or right, I forgot to say but my name is ’Ulna Blacksheep’"

As we hid in a bush, Vertere was gripping his chest.
"I think... I’m in love."
"Vertere has a cruush~" Alleus teasingly poked at him.
Watching them talk, the atmosphere around Ulna then shifted as she told her past.
"I was raised in a rural village, my mother was a retired knight and my father was a mage... but I didn’t have any talent with swordsmanship, however I did discover from an early age that my talent for magic was much higher than the normal Individual, so I spent my time after school training under my father."
The vision then shifted to a little girl sluggishly swinging a sword who then picked up a wand casting spells of wind.
"S-she’s a mage just like me, Ring we must recruit her..!" Vertere then grabbed my collar and began shaking me profusely.
"I don’t think that will be possible, from how things are going, it sounds like she’s a key character crucial for the novel’s plot."
Sulking, Lieur patted him on the back.
"But captain, if it turns out she isn’t... will we be recruiting her?"
Another mage wouldn’t be too bad and because she’s a natural born talent, the fact that she’s an adventurer is also another upside because that mean’s unlike Vertere, she can manage her mana much better.
"Only if it turns out she isn’t."
After everyone had introduced themselves, Incus stood up.
"I’ll only say this now, but if you see a flying sword covered in wind, it means that there’s danger nearby." Said Incus.
The party then looked at each other, then back at Incus, then nodded.
"Check system." I whispered, focusing on Ulna the mage.

We had stayed just outside the Inn because when we entered, the clerk asked us for money and because we didn’t we just decided to set up camp by the campfire.
Looking up at the novel’s draft, cold sweat suddenly had it’s grasp on it.

"Scales turn back to your original form."
The dragon scales then turned back into a cloak.
