The Reigning Star: Tycoon's Exclusive Obsession
Chapter 1073 - 16: Stop Right There!
At ten o’clock that night, Lin Ji Yang drove his sports car to the back gate of the company right on time. He flicked on the headlights and checked himself in the mirror—damn, no matter how he looked, he was just so handsome!
Leaning against the car, he struck a cool pose and waited for Zhao Anqi to show up, but after a long while, there was still no sign of her.
This was the first time he’d been so punctual, and someone actually dared make him wait!
Lin Ji Yang picked up his phone and sent a text, but there was no reply. He called, only to find the phone was switched off.
He started to feel inexplicably manic, and was just about to head in and drag her out when a sudden glare lit up in front of him—several beams from flashlights shot straight at him.
"Stop, don’t move!"
Before he could even open his eyes properly, a security guard grabbed his wrist. Lin Ji Yang was trained; he twisted around and had the guard pinned against the car in one move.
Before he could react further, the remaining guards all lunged at him together, and they quickly got into a scuffle.
From a distance, Zhao Anqi watched with some amusement. Only then did she relax, flick her hair, and head back toward the dorm.
"What exactly happened?"
With a stern face, Ning Zesheng stared down at Lin Ji Yang for nearly five minutes without saying a word. Alina, standing to the side, finally couldn’t hold back and asked.
Lin Ji Yang rubbed his own face. "My future livelihood depends on this face, and you guys actually hit me this hard!"
The guards weren’t in great shape either. The one in the lead said directly, "We got a report that someone was acting suspiciously at the back gate. We’re responsible for the company’s security. Who knew that as soon as we went over, he started throwing punches at us!"
"Oh, so now you think you’re in the right?"
Lin Ji Yang was about to stand up and start another fight, but Ning Zesheng pushed him back down with one hand.
He gave him that bit of face and sat properly, then looked up and asked, "Can I go now?"
"You all go out first." Ning Zesheng said casually, and Alina led the guards out.
Only then did the pain really hit Lin Ji Yang and his expression change. Ning Zesheng glanced at him and said evenly, "Lu Beichen had you cut in halfway, and even had Alina assigned to you full-time. In that case, train properly."
"Are you lecturing me?" Lin Ji Yang raised a brow. "It’s not like you don’t know who I am."
"I don’t care who you are. In here, you have to listen to me. That includes Lu Beichen." Ning Zesheng was completely unmoved. "You wanted a single room; the company has arranged one. If you still have objections, you can drive your sports car right on out of here."
"Ning Zesheng, I only came here as a favor to my Brother Beichen, and you’re really pushing it."
"Fine, I’ll explain the situation to Lu Beichen right now. If he tells me to kick you out, then you can do whatever you want." Ning Zesheng calmly took out his phone.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Lin Ji Yang hurriedly reached out to stop him. "Okay, okay, worst case, I’ll follow the rules from now on."
He’d gone through so much trouble to talk Lu Beichen into letting him come mess around here despite the Tong Family’s pressure. He couldn’t hand him a reason to kick him out this soon!
Ning Zesheng’s expression didn’t seem to change, but his silence signaled he was backing off.
Lin Ji Yang stood up and cleared his throat. "Have someone tow my car away, I’ll move into the trainee dorm now. But I don’t like the floor of the room you arranged for me."
Ning Zesheng just looked at him, expression reading: And what exactly do you want?
Lin Ji Yang felt it was hard to communicate with him and sighed. "The Yi Tai Entertainment trainee dorms are basically like condo units; who cares what kind of neighbors they have? So Alina said it’d be convenient to have a guy living across from me—I don’t need that. Change it!"
"This is the last time."
After Ning Zesheng said this lightly, he turned and left, clearly not intending to bother with him any further.
