The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign
Chapter 493 - 482: Got My Butt Slashed!
At the same time, or perhaps earlier, or even a bit later, a fervent tidal wave of song had erupted not just on the campus of Jinling University, but in every school and academy across Huaxia. Anyone with a fiercely patriotic heart found it impossible to suppress their excitement in such an atmosphere!
The Jingguo Society. For every child of Huaxia, it was an eternal, aching wound in their hearts.
Now that this thorn of torment had finally been pulled out, who could possibly remain indifferent?
If not for the circumstances, Li Qiuzhe and his friends would have probably rushed out to buy firecrackers and set them off all around the campus.
They lost count of how many times they sang the verse about the five-starred red flag. It was not until they were exhausted, their voices raw and hoarse, that the students finally trudged back to their dormitories.
"What’s going on?"
When Li Qiuzhe and his two friends walked back into the dorm, Qin Fan emerged from the bathroom, feigning ignorance as he asked in astonishment.
"Fourth Bro! Holy crap, did you hear? The Jingguo Society was burned to the ground! Not even ash is left! Mount Fuji collapsed, too! And get this, thousands of Japanese military police were slaughtered, along with countless Japanese civilians! Damn! So satisfying! It’s so damn satisfying!" Li Qiuzhe exclaimed boisterously.
"Oh, that’s all? I thought it was something important," Qin Fan said with an indifferent smirk.
"What the hell? Just that? Are you even from Huaxia? Don’t you hate those little devils? If I knew who the heroes behind this chaos in Japan were, I’d buy a ticket right now just to go bow to them and get an autograph! Forget those damn celebrities and pretty-boy idols! The one who plunged Japan into misery and chaos—that’s a real hero, a real idol! Dammit, it’s a shame no one released a photo of the hero, or I’d print it out and plaster it all over my wall!" Li Qiuzhe grew more and more excited as he spoke, spittle flying in his fervor.
"Weren’t you guys just asking where I’d been all this time? I went to Japan. I did it. Go on, you can bow now," Qin Fan said seriously, smiling as he met Li Qiuzhe’s flushed, passionate gaze.
"What? Holy crap, Fourth Bro! You... you... you did this? How did you manage that? Th-This... how is that possible!" Upon hearing this, and seeing Qin Fan’s dead-serious expression, Li Qiuzhe’s eyes went wide as he instinctively yelled in shock.
However, before the words fully left his mouth, Wang Dalu slapped him on the back of the head.
"Are you fucking stupid? Why the hell did you hit me!" Li Qiuzhe spun around and immediately started cursing.
"You’re the fucking idiot! And not just any idiot, you’re the fighter jet of idiots! Seriously, I have to ask, Eldest Bro—and don’t mind me for saying this, despite your seniority—but with an IQ like yours, how in the hell did you get into Jinling University? What do you think, Second Bro?" Wang Dalu retorted.
"He has a point," Zhu Houqing nodded in agreement.
"What’s wrong with my IQ?! Huh? What’s wrong with it? You two better give me a perfect explanation today, or I’m not done with you two sons of bitches!" Li Qiuzhe shouted, rubbing the back of his head.
"First off, we all admit that Fourth Bro can fight and is monstrously strong. But slaughtering thousands of heavily armed Japanese military police who are firing at will? Do you think this is a video game? Do you think he can just go in alone, die, and respawn?
"Furthermore, with an incident this huge, do you think the Japanese authorities are just sitting on their hands? The entire city must be on lockdown! Can Fourth Bro fly? No, even flying wouldn’t be enough; they’d have fighter jets waiting. Do you think Fourth Bro has a Flash ability? Are you seriously treating this like a game of Honor of Kings?
"And the last point, the one that best proves how dumb you are, setting aside all the logic I just mentioned: How long ago did the incident in Japan happen? And Fourth Bro is already standing right in front of us. Is that even possible? Use your head, none of it adds up! Seriously, Eldest Bro, did that slash on your ass scramble your brains or something? How can you believe everything you hear?" Wang Dalu said, rolling his eyes in exasperation.
Every sentence was reasonable. Every point was logical. Indeed, as soon as Wang Dalu finished speaking, Li Qiuzhe really did start rubbing the back of his head. He blushed and said awkwardly, "You’re right. I wasn’t thinking straight, and I have one hundred percent faith in Fourth Bro. Who would’ve thought this bastard would play with my emotions!" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"Haha!"
Seeing Li Qiuzhe’s embarrassed state, Wang Dalu and Zhu Houqing couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
However, Qin Fan’s face fell. He had caught Wang Dalu’s words about Eldest Bro getting slashed on the ass. Amidst the laughter, he spoke in a low voice, "What was that about? Eldest Bro, you got slashed?"
At his words, the laughter died instantly. Li Qiuzhe, Wang Dalu, and Zhu Houqing all froze. All three of their expressions changed dramatically.
Seeing this, Qin Fan’s expression grew even darker. He asked again, "What exactly happened?"
"Wang Dalu, damn you!" Although Qin Fan was the youngest, ranked fourth, he seemed to be the one truly in charge of Dorm 708. Hearing his deep tone, Li Qiuzhe immediately glared at Wang Dalu and gritted his teeth. "Damn it, didn’t we agree not to let Fourth Bro know about this?"
"I... I let it slip!" a guilty Wang Dalu muttered, turning his face away slightly.
"Stop hiding it. Spit it out. What happened while I was gone?" Reining in the powerful aura that had unintentionally flared up, Qin Fan said in a calmer voice.
"It’s nothing! I just accidentally got slashed, that’s all! Fourth Bro, it’s nothing! Really, no big deal! It doesn’t affect anything! Besides, getting hit on the ass... no one can see it, so it doesn’t tarnish my glorious beauty!" Li Qiuzhe said with a dry, awkward laugh, clearly trying to brush the matter aside.
The more he acted this way, the more Qin Fan felt something was wrong. His expression immediately sank again.
He turned to Zhu Houqing and said, "Second Bro, you tell me."
Faced with Qin Fan’s attitude, Zhu Houqing grew awkward. He glanced hesitantly between Li Qiuzhe and Wang Dalu. After a deep breath, just as he was about to speak, Li Qiuzhe cut in.
"Fine, Fourth Bro! Since you have to know, I’ll tell you. It’s like this. You know I’m hanging out with Baldie now, right? Well, the day after you left, I went to him and asked if he had any business to take care of. I figured since I was going to be in the underworld, I had to make a name for myself. He said there was a six-figure debt that was tough to collect and he couldn’t handle it. He asked if I wanted to give it a shot. I didn’t think too much of it and went over with him and his crew. I didn’t expect the guy to be like a stone in a cesspit—stinky and hard. We couldn’t negotiate, and he just came at me with a blade. Luckily, I dodged fast, or it wouldn’t have just been my ass, dammit!"
"Baldie sent you to collect a bad debt? You got slashed and his men did nothing?" Qin Fan’s voice turned cold.
"Fourth Bro, you can’t really blame Baldie for this. We actually went to negotiate amicably and even offered the guy a discount! Who would’ve thought he’d lash out without another word? As for why Baldie’s crew didn’t fight back, it’s because the guy has connections to a young master in Jinling, and that young master has some beef with Chang Yuanyi. So, Baldie didn’t want to stir up too much trouble and drag Chang Yuanyi into it.
"Plus, the slash on my ass wasn’t that deep, so we decided to let the matter rest for now. Besides, Fourth Bro, everyone in the underworld gets a few scars. This one on my ass is a medal of honor! It’s glorious!" Li Qiuzhe said, acting as if he didn’t care at all. By the end, he even put on a cheeky grin and started joking around.
