The dark blue crystal on Amon’s bed made a sound.

He was currently inside the chamber that was given to him.

"Ohh! Yes!" Amon said excitedly as he grabbed it and sat comfortably on the bed.

He had already freshened up, taken a bath, and changed into a new set of clothes he bought with Selena.

He answered the call.

The communication device connected.

"Hey, Amon."

A familiar calm voice came from the other side.

To Amon, it sounded like the sweetest voice.

With a warm smile, he said, "Hello, Scarlett."

Scarlett immediately began speaking, her voice filled with concern. "Hmm... how are you? Are you fine? Where are you right now? Did you return safely? Where are you staying? You have money, right?"

Amon chuckled. "Hey! Ask them slowly, one by one. And yes, I’m fine. I’m currently in the capital city of the Valmoria Kingdom. What about you? You didn’t contact me for days..."

Scarlett sighed softly. "Hah... I’m back home... and well, I was busy. Since I returned after nearly four years, they didn’t leave me alone for a while... they even held a party because I came back."

Amon smiled. "That’s nice!! I’m glad to hear that."

Then she asked again, "But where are you staying right now?"

Amon replied casually, "Oh? Me? I’m inside the royal palace. Didn’t I tell you? I’m close to a senior from the academy... she’s Princess Selena. So of course, I’m staying with her."

"...Scarlett? What happened?" Amon asked, confused.

Her voice turned slightly cold. "Hmm... you must be happy then... spending time with a royal princess without any care, huh?"

Amon blinked. "Wait—what?"

"Hey, Scarlett, what are you saying?! She’s just my senior and friend. Nothing more. Don’t worry or get jealous."

Scarlett immediately replied, flustered, "W-What?! Who’s jealous?! I’m not jealous or anything!"

Amon chuckled softly. "Don’t worry. I won’t do anything like that. If I tried flirting with her, I’d be dead by Queen Celestia’s hands."

Scarlett paused, then muttered, "...I guess you’re right. I know Queen Celestia is known for being cold and ruthless."

Amon shivered slightly. "Y-Yeah..."

"Anyway," she continued, "when are you going back to the academy?"

"Next month."

"Oh... good. Also... did you tell anyone about me?"

Amon grinned. "Of course I did. I told Senior Selena and Queen Celestia."

"Really?" Her voice suddenly brightened with joy.

Then she coughed. "I mean... really."

Amon laughed lightly.

"Good boy... don’t forget to tell your academy friends too. That Seraphina, Eliana, and Aisha... and your favorite professor as well. Got it?" Scarlett said with voice that felt like an order. That he must follow no matter the cost.

Amon gulped and nodded instinctively. Then he said, "Yes, Scarlett. As you say."

"Good."

’Damn... she remembered all those names. What a sharp memory,’ he thought.

"Also," she added, "if possible, don’t reveal my identity to others. I mean that I am daughter of Duke. You might have already done that by telling the Queen and Princess, but still... try to avoid it."

Amon frowned slightly. "Is there any problem with that?"

"Not really. We are neutral with human kingdoms. But it’s better to be safe."

"Okay, my dear~" he replied cheerfully.

Scarlett went silent. But Amon knew she liked that.

Then Amon smirked. "Okay, I’ll go now. I’ll contact you tonight."

"Wait," he said suddenly, "aren’t you forgetting something important?"

Scarlett wondered and asked from other side. "What important thing?"

He said with slight excitement, "Come on! You forgot to say the most important thing!!"

Amon smiled mischievously. "And what is that?"

Scarlett asked, confused, "What?"

Looking at the crystal with a grin, Amon said softly, "You need to say those words... ’I love you.’ Say it."

Silence. No replied came from other side.

There was a long silence. But then,

Beep!!

The call disconnected. Amon stared at the device for a few seconds.

Then burst into laughter.

"Hahaha!! She’s so cute. Still can’t say those words!"

Selena looked at him from the side while calmly eating her breakfast. "You really need to go? You can stay here, you know... and go next month. We can go together."

Amon, who sat beside her, nodded thoughtfully. "I need to go back and train for this month. I am close to a breakthrough."

Amon paused and considered it for a moment. Then his expression brightened as he nodded. "That’s a good idea. Let’s go to her house then!!"

Selena smirked slightly. "You will enjoy your time there. You can meet her grandfather as well, the strongest being in the world."

Amon’s excitement grew instantly. He placed his spoon on the table and thought about Alistair Luminous.

"Yes! We should visit Luminous Dukedom." His voice turned excited.

Selena corrected him with a calm expression. "You mean Luminere Duchy."

Amon waved it off with enthusiasm. "Yeah! I can’t wait to meet Sera!!"

Selena nodded. "Okay. We will go tomorrow. I will make arrangements. I also need to talk with mother. She’s going to make it hard for me. But in the end she will give permission."

Amon smiled brightly. "Sure, Senior. You are the best."

Selena folded her arms confidently. "I know that."
