<p> "You look flustered. Is the dress that tight?" Killian teasingly asked, knowing it was his touch that made her flustered. It was much better to feign ignorance and tease her so he could see her sharp claws come out.
</p><p> Amelia pushed his hand away from touching her. "And to think I was starting to miss your presence. Silly me," she started to walk around him.
</p><p> "Did you? We weren’t apart for long but I could see how it might have felt longer for you. How much did you miss me?" Killian asked, quickly going to her side to walk with her to the throne room.
</p><p> Amelia regretted letting Killian know she missed him. She forgot that he was the type to never let this go. "Please forget about it and focus on what is important right now."
</p><p> "I deem this to be more important than the coronation. It is not so often that my wife tells me she misses my presence. I need to enjoy the moment. Is this the effect of the trip we took? Have you fallen in love with me?" Killian asked.
</p><p> Amelia looked up beside her at Killian when the word love was mentioned. She felt something more for him during their trip but she didn’t know if it was love. Wasn’t that too soon? Perhaps it was safer to say she started to like him more. They had a little longer to go before she could go around telling Killian that she loved him. It wasn’t like Killian was claiming to love her.
</p><p> "No. What about you? Have you fallen in love with me or am I still just a human who intrigues you?" Amelia questioned, holding her breath as she awaited his answer.
</p><p> "I thought without having to say it these days that I have grown to care for you more than just an intriguing human."
</p><p> "That doesn’t answer if you have fallen in love with me," Amelia noted.
</p><p> "It doesn’t," Killian agreed. "I am still figuring out what it means to love someone. I would ask Lucifer as he is married and deeply cares for his wife, but sometimes he offers bad knowledge. I do know that I care for you and I have no plans of letting you die anytime soon. When you are sad, it bothers me. Maybe I am close to figuring out if what I feel is love."

I forgot what that emotion feels like to have someone you cherish in your heart. Love can bring heartache sometimes. Do we really want to go down that hole? We are fine as we are now but I suppose we cannot control growing to love each other one day. It happens naturally," said Amelia.
</p><p> "That is why I wish to feel this powerful emotion. I want to experience why it makes others do foolish things. I watched your kind go to war over love. Lost many people on both sides of the war for a woman who married someone else in the end. Isn’t it fascinating?" Killian asked.
</p><p> "It is fascinating what goes on in your mind. What do you think their reaction will be? To have a human Queen? I don’t know if I will be able to calm down a room full of demons or make them believe I will be a good Queen they can at least respect. I prepared myself to be a Queen to humans, not demons. Should I announce I plan to turn into a demon-"
</p><p> "What?" Killian grabbed her hand to stop her from going to the throne room. He mentioned the possibility of her turning into his kind but she was never completely on board with it. To him, it didn’t matter if she was human or a demon. He only cared that she was herself and entertained him more than any other creature had.
</p><p> "Eventually I would have to turn. Humans have fragile lives. Most of them don’t live past the age of forty and as royalty, my chances of living longer are slim. There will always be someone aiming for my throat. It would be a blessing to reach old age and when we have children, they will live longer than humans right? I want to see them take over both kingdoms or even venture out to other kingdoms. I want to see what will happen to the Blackwell kingdom in the future and I wish to see if I can one day stumble upon my mother’s new life," Amelia said, the last part being the most important.
</p><p> Amelia needed to see her mother one more time and make sure her next life was better than this one. She would meddle and do all that she could to make her mother’s next life full of nothing but happiness.
</p><p> "I would also like to stay with my husband. It wouldn’t be fair for me to leave you behind when you are so bored with everyone around you. I have to keep you entertained, don’t I? You can search high and low but you will never find a human as intriguing as I am. I am one of a kind. Are those enough reasons for me to turn?" Amelia asked, hoping Killian would end his silence.
</p><p> She needed him to say something to her. To either say he would do it or say he was joking in the past.
</p><p> "If you have nothing to say, we should go inside. I don’t want to be late- Ah!" Amelia gasped when she found herself pulled against his broad chest.
</p><p> "You are right. I have never met a more intriguing human during the times I wandered this world. It will be painful and even more painful if you wish to return to the way you are now," Killian warned. He remembered Lilith’s screams as her body changed. It was three days of torture and Killian didn’t know if he could listen to Amelia in such pain.
</p><p> "I had a feeling it would be painful but I still wish to go through with it. Not today," she clarified before he could start making arrangements. "I want today to be all about introducing myself as your wife and Queen."</p></div>
