The Unveiling of Secret Queen
Chapter 2009: Finally Remembered Nathalie and the Others
Among the four, Nathalie Quinlan was the calmest. Ever since she came in, she found a spot in the corner, pulled out a chair, and sat down.
She leaned back, found the most comfortable position to relax in, and lowered her duckbill cap. She only said thanks to Wincent Sullivan when he poured her water. Otherwise, she didn’t participate in the discussion with the other three. Her expression was calm, as she took out her phone, opened a game, and prepared to play.
Before Nathalie started playing the game, she noticed an unread message.
Her pale fingertips tapped to open the unread message.
It was still a message from Greenie.
But it was sent after she went offline yesterday by Greenie.
Nathalie looked down, lowering her head to read.
[Greenie: Then let me know when you are free to meet me.]
Nathalie furrowed her brows, seemingly not expecting the other person to insist on meeting.
She tapped her phone screen repeatedly, typed a few words, thought it over, and then decided against it, simply deleting them and choosing not to reply to the message for now.
Just at that moment, the game was about to start.
Nathalie casually stretched out her leg and focused her attention on the mobile game.
The quiet lounge was filled with the sound of game effects ringing.
Wincent Sullivan, Agnes Baker, and others were originally feeling quite low, but upon hearing the game sounds, the three of them were momentarily stunned and then realized it was Nathalie playing the game.
The girl crossed her legs, with a striking face showing the wild and reckless spirit of youth, seemingly unconcerned about the predicament they were facing. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Her laid-back and relaxed demeanor swept over them like a breeze, soothing the uneasy feeling in their hearts.
Wincent Sullivan’s eyes moved slightly, his normally warm face showing a complex expression. Unable to hold back, he was the first to speak: "Nathalie, aren’t you worried?"
Nathalie was guiding her character in the game, sniping from the treetop and taking someone down with a shot. She rested her leg casually on the edge of the table, seemingly not worried at all, without lifting her eyelids: "Worried about what?"
Wincent Sullivan was at a loss for words: "I’m worried that from now on... we’ll just be stuck here."
Nathalie continued her gameplay, executing another perfect headshot, then slowly lifted her eyelids to look at him, with an arrogant smirk, yet seeming to be quite reserved, casually replying: "Is worrying useful? If they don’t involve us, we can’t get involved. After all, we only won the privilege to visit, not the official membership of the 8-level laboratory like them. We just follow what they arrange, and if they don’t, we just wait."
Wincent Sullivan wanted to say more.
"Just wait for arrangements; they won’t leave us hanging forever." Nathalie raised an eyebrow as she said this to him, then looked down again, continuing to play her game with a careless attitude.
Nathalie’s optimistic attitude seemed to affect Agnes Baker, who then took out her phone too, pulling her chair over to ask Nathalie which game she was playing, saying she wanted to download it as well to team up with Nathalie.
Williansen Barness, on the other hand, told Wincent Sullivan that he still hadn’t finished an experiment report and would take this time to work on it.
Out of the four, three found something to do.
Wincent Sullivan also stopped worrying, searched the room, found some paper and a pen, and settled down to start noting some details he didn’t understand from Nathalie’s Super Algorithm...

Time ticked by.
At three in the afternoon, Harvey Cadorette finally finished his work.
Someone next to him suddenly mentioned: "Harvey, those rookies wouldn’t still be waiting in the lounge, would they?"
